Description
- Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Stecker einer elektrischen Steckverbindung nach der Gattung des Patentanspruchs 1.
- Durch die
DE 296 22 860 U1 und dieUS 2005/250371 A1 ist jeweils ein elektrischer Stecker mit einem Steckergehäuse aus Kunststoff und mit mindestens einem darin vorgesehenen kunststoffumspritzten Metalleinlegeteil bekannt, das an mindestens einer Gehäuseseite freiliegt, wobei das Steckergehäuse und das Metalleinlegeteil durch eine ausgehärtete Dichtungs- uoder Klebemasse gegeneinander abgedichtet sind, welche an der mindestens einen Gehäuseseite rings um das freiliegende Metalleinlegeteil vorgesehen ist. - Das Umspritzen von Metalleinlegeteilen mit Kunststoff zur Herstellung von elektrischen Steckern ist weit verbreitet. Das Problem dabei ist die Dichtheit der Stecker an der Grenzfläche Metall zum Kunststoff, da die stoffschlüssige Verbindung zwischen Kunststoff und Metall auf Grund der sehr unterschiedlichen Wärmeausdehnungskoeffizienten des Stoffpaares sehr schlecht ist. Um dennoch die Dichtheit des Steckers zu erreichen, sind oft aufwändige Maßnahmen, wie z.B. Vorumspritzung oder zusätzliche Dichtelemente, notwendig.
- Vorteile der Erfindung
- Der erfindungsgemäße Stecker mit den kennzeichnenden Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1 hat demgegenüber den Vorteil, dass die kritische Verbindung zwischen den Metalleinlegeteilen und dem umspritzten Kunststoff mit einfachen Mitteln zuverlässig und wirkungsvoll abgedichtet ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird im Anschluss an den Standardprozess "Umspritzen von Metalleinlegeteilen mittels Kunststoff' durch die Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse die Dichtheit an der Kunststoff/Metall Grenzfläche erzielt. Vorzugsweise ist die Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse ein aushärtbares Gel, insbesondere ein Perfluorpolyether-Gel (z.B. Shin-Etsu SIFEL® 8070, Komponenten A und B der Fa. Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., Tokio, Japan) oder ein Silikon-Gel (z.B. SEMICOSIL® 9242 der Fa. Wacker-Chemie, Burghausen), oder ein Klebstoff, insbesondere ein Silikon-Klebstoff (z.B. DOW CORNING® 866 Adhesive der Fa. Dow Corning GmbH, Wiesbaden). Vergelen ist ein bewährtes Standardverfahren, das sich durch geringe Kosten und einfache Handhabung auszeichnet. Es garantiert eine gute Anbindung sowohl an den Kunststoff als auch an das Metall des Einlegeteils, wobei diese Anbindung auch unter hohen Vibrationsbelastungen noch gegeben ist.
- Der erfindungsgemäße Stecker kann beispielsweise als elektrische Durchführung im Ölbereich eines Fahrzeugmotors, insbesondere als elektrische Durchführung aus dem ölfreien Innenraum eines Hochdrucksensors mit gegenüber Umwelteinflüssen sensibler Elektronik eingesetzt werden, um den Ölbereich abzudichten. Vorzugsweise ist der Stecker Teil eines den Raildruck erfassenden Drucksensors, dessen elektrische Leitungen durch den erfindungsgemäßen Stecker nach außen herausgeführt sind.
- Weitere Vorteile und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des Gegenstands der Erfindung sind der Beschreibung, der Zeichnung und den Ansprüchen entnehmbar.
- Ausführungsbeispiele des erfindungsgemäßen Steckers sind in den Zeichnungen dargestellt und in der nachfolgenden Beschreibung näher erläutert. Es zeigen:

- den erfindungsgemäßen Stecker mit abgedichteten elektrischen Kontakten; und
- Fig. 3
- einen Drucksensor mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Stecker, bei dem die elektrischen Kontakten und der Befestigungsflansch abgedichtet sind.
- Der in
Fig. 1 gezeigte Stecker 1 einer elektrischen Steckverbindung umfasst ein Steckergehäuse 2 aus Kunststoff und darin kunststoffumspritzte Metalleinlegeteile, nämlich drei elektrische Kontakte (Pins) 3 und einen umlaufenden Befestigungsflansch 4. Der ring- oder hülsenförmige Befestigungsflansch 4 ist ein Tiefziehteil, dessen kunststoffumspritztes Ende 4a nach innen umgebogen ist und dessen nach außen vorstehendes Flanschende 4b einen Innenraum 5 definiert. Die elektrischen Kontakte 3 treten an der dem Innenraum 5 abgewandten Gehäuseseite 2a in das Steckergehäuse 2 ein und an der dem Innenraum 5 zugewandten Gehäuseseite 2b aus dem Steckergehäuse 2 in den Innenraum 5 aus. - Der Stecker 1 ist im Spritzgussverfahren aus Kunststoff und mit den Kontakten 3 und dem Befestigungsflansch 4 als Metalleinlegeteilen hergestellt und anschließend abgekühlt. Allerdings ist die Verbindung zwischen dem Steckergehäuse 2 und den Metalleinlegeteilen 3, 4 auf Grund der sehr unterschiedlichen Wärmeausdehnungskoeffizienten von Kunststoff und Metall nicht dicht, so dass z.B. Wasser von außen entlang eines Spaltes zwischen dem Steckergehäuse 2 und den elektrischen Kontakten 3 bzw. dem Befestigungsflansch 4 in den Innenraum 5 gelangen kann.
- Um dennoch die Dichtheit des Steckers 1 zu erreichen, sind in
Fig. 1 das Steckergehäuse 2 und der kunststoffumspritzte Befestigungsflansch 4 durch eine ausgehärtete Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 gegeneinander abgedichtet, welche innenraumseitig auf der dem Innenraum 5 zugewandten Gehäuseseite 2b rings um den Befestigungsflansch 4, d.h. an der freiliegenden innenseitigen Kunststoff/Metall-Grenzfläche, aufgebracht ist. Obwohl nicht gezeigt, kann selbstverständlich die Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 auch außerhalb des Innenraums 5 an der freiliegenden außenseitigen Kunststoff/Metall-Grenzfläche rings um den Befestigungsflansch 4 aufgebracht sein. - Anders als in
Fig. 1 sind bei dem inFig. 2 gezeigten Stecker 1 das Steckergehäuse 2 und die kunststoffumspritzten elektrischen Kontakten 3 durch die ausgehärtete Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 gegeneinander abgedichtet, welche auf der dem Innenraum 5 abgewandten Gehäuseseite 2a jeweils rings um die Kontakte 3 aufgebracht ist. Obwohl nicht gezeigt, sind selbstverständlich auch eine innenraumseitige Abdichtung der Kontakte 3 sowie eine zweifache Abdichtung der Kontakte 3, d.h. an beiden Gehäuseseiten 2a, 2b, möglich. - Die ausgehärtete Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 ist flüssigkeitsdicht und durch Vergelen oder Verkleben hergestellt, indem eine form- und aushärtbare Dichtungs-oder Klebemasse auf die jeweilige Gehäuseseite 2a bzw. 2b rings um die Kontakte 3 bzw. rings um den Befestigungsflansch 4 aufgetragen und ausgehärtet wird. Durch geeignete Maßnahmen bei der Präparation, Verarbeitung und Aushärtung wird Blasenfreiheit der ausgehärteten Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 erreicht. Statt wie gezeigt die Gehäuseseite 2a, 2b nur punktuell im Bereich der Metalleinlegeteile 3, 4 mit der Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 abzudecken, kann die Gehäuseseite 2a, 2b selbstverständlich auch groß- oder vollflächig mit der Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 mit bevorzugt gleichmäßiger Schichtdicke abgedeckt sein.

Fig. 3 zeigt einen Raildrucksensor 10 mit einem wie oben ausgebildeten Stecker 1. Der Raildrucksensor 10 verschließt mit einem Gewindestutzen 11 eine Öffnung im Kraftstoffdruckspeicher (Common Rail), wobei eine Sechskantmutter 12 zum Einschrauben dient. Der Stecker 1 ist mit seinem Befestigungsflansch 4 dicht an der Sechskantmutter 12 befestigt, z.B. angeschweißt. Im Innenraum 5 ist ein Druckaufnehmer (nicht gezeigt) angebracht, der über eine Messleitung 13 des Gewindestutzens 11 an den Kraftstoffdruckspeicher angeschlossen ist. Der Stecker 1 dient somit als flüssigkeitsdichte Durchführung der elektrischen Leitungen des Druckaufnehmers aus dem gegen Umwelteinflüsse geschützten Innenraum 5 des Raildrucksensors 10. Bei dem inFig. 3 gezeigten Stecker 1 sind sowohl die elektrischen Kontakte 3, wie inFig. 2 gezeigt, als auch der Befestigungsflansch 4, wie inFig. 1 gezeigt, durch die Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse 6 abgedichtet.
Claims (7)
- Elektrischer Stecker (1) mit einem Steckergehäuse (2) aus Kunststoff und mit mindestens einem darin vorgesehenen kunststoffumspritzten Metalleinlegeteil (3, 4), das an mindestens einer Gehäuseseite (2a, 2b) freiliegt, wobei das Steckergehäuse (2) und das Metalleinlegeteil (3, 4) durch eine ausgehärtete Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse (6) gegeneinander abgedichtet sind, welche an der mindestens einen Gehäuseseite (2a, 2b) rings um das freiliegende Metalleinlegeteil (3, 4) vorgesehen ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse (6) ein aushärtbares Gel, insbesondere ein Perfluorpolyether-Gel oder ein Silikon-Gel, ist.
- Stecker nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Metalleinlegeteil (3) an zwei Gehäuseseiten (2a, 2b) freiliegt.
- Stecker nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Metalleinlegeteil ein elektrischer Kontakt (3) oder ein Befestigungsflansch (4) des Steckers (1) ist.
- Stecker nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die ausgehärtete Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse (6) flüssigkeitsdicht und vorzugsweise auch gasdicht ist.
- Stecker nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die mindestens eine Gehäuseseite (2a, 2b) vollflächig mit der Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse (6) abgedeckt ist.
- Raildrucksensor (10) mit einem Stecker (1) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche.
- Verfahren zum Abdichten eines elektrischen Steckers (1) mit einem Steckergehäuse (2) aus Kunststoff und mit mindestens einem darin vorgesehenen kunststoffumspritzten Metalleinlegeteil (3), das an mindestens einer Gehäuseseite (2a, 2b) freiliegt, wobei eine aushärtbare Dichtungs- oder Klebemasse (6) an der mindestens einen Gehäuseseite (2a, 2b) rings um das freiliegende Metalleinlegeteil (3) angebracht und ausgehärtet wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Dichtungs-oder Klebemasse (6) ein aushärtbares Gel, insbesondere ein Perfludrpolyether-Gel oder ein Silikon-Gel, ist.
