Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Spinnmaschine mit einer Vielzahl von Spinnstellen (1), die jeweils eine Abzugsvorrichtung (6) mit einer Abzugswalze (10) und einer Druckrolle (14) zum Abzug eines Fadens (9) aus einer Spinnvorrichtung (2), sowie eine Sensoreinrichtung (26) zur Überprüfung eines Anspinners umfassen, wobei die mit dem Beginn des Anspinnens die theoretische Förderlänge des Fadens auf Basis der Oberflächengeschwindigkeit des Abzugswalzenpaares (10, 12) bestimmt wird, bis der Beginn des Anspinners die Sensoreinrichtung (26) erreicht hat, dass die Abweichung der theoretischen Förderlänge von einer Soll-Fadenlänge, die dem Abstand zwischen der Spinnvorrichtung (2) und der Sensoreinrichtung (26) entspricht, erfasst wird, dass die Abweichung mit einem voreinstellbaren Grenzwert der zulässigen Abweichung verglichen wird, und dass das Passieren des Grenzwertes als Indikator eines nicht tolerierbaren Verschleißes der Druckrolle (14) gewertet und signalisiert wird.
