Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hob, according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular for the household.
  • a frameless glass ceramic hob overlaps a mounting cutout of the kitchen worktop on all sides, with its edge areas serving as a support flange.
  • This has the advantage of a good appearance and a relatively large, not limited by frame elements stove surface on the harness ranked and also easily pulled by the stove top.
  • the worktops are often small, there is the disadvantage that in modern kitchen operation, when standing much next to the hob, something can easily be pushed against an unprotected side edge of the stove and this damage.
  • hobs are known in which a heating elements bearing tub made of stainless steel sheet in a built-in cutout of a kitchen worktop is installed and glued into a circumferential upper shoulder, a stove plate made of glass ceramic.
  • the surface of the stove plate is approximately at the height of the surface of the kitchen worktop.
  • the tub has a stovetop slightly protruding, outwardly extending, upper circumferential recessed flange, which surrounds the hob as a frame and the edges against damage from shock, e.g. protects with pots.
  • the frame also serves as the hob on the kitchen worktop ab skinder mounting flange, it must be relatively wide, which limits the size of the free patch panel for pushing around cookware on the flat surface relative to the total area requirement of the hob and also for reasons of design z.T. is undesirable.
  • the EP 0 887 594 A1 discloses a glass ceramic cooking surface.
  • the invention has for its object to avoid or mitigate disadvantages of the prior art, and in particular to provide a user-friendly hob.
  • This solution is achieved by the combination of features of claim 1.
  • This solution has the advantage that it creates a cooktop with an aesthetically pleasing, inviting shape design, although it has a stove top of a brittle material such as toughened glass or glass ceramic is still robust and inexpensive has sufficient impact protection at its edges.
  • the frame elements can be filigree narrow and inconspicuous, since they do not have the function of a mounting flange and protect the stove against shocks, which are mainly to be expected from the right or left, from the side, in which the worktop usually continues.
  • the preferably approximately vertically upstanding web can end at the height of the upper edge of the end face of the edge region. According to the invention, it ends at a small vertical distance below. It is important that the bridge does not protrude over the height of the upper edge of the end face, which preferably corresponds to the height of the working surface of the cooking plate, so as not to hinder the lateral displacement of a cookware, for example, to a further cooking hob arranged next to it.
  • the vertical distance is between 0 and 2 mm, preferably between about 0.1 and 1 mm and in particular between about 0.3 and 0.5 mm.
  • the end face of the bordered edge region preferably extends over the full height or thickness of the stove plate, since this is the cheapest solution, which has a positive effect that in the manufacture of the hobs whose end faces receive a so-called C-cut, the upper and lower heights of the over the full height of the hotplate extending end surfaces are processed by default so that they are inclined back towards the middle height range. This further promotes the distraction may still laterally on the stove plate abutting dishes up on the surface.
  • a common inexpensive standard machining of the end face consists in that it is rounded by grinding substantially approximately circular arc each about an axis lying approximately at mid-height of the hotplate axis.
  • the radius is about 0.6 to 2 times, preferably about 0.7 to 1.5 times the thickness of the hotplate and is in particular approximately equal to the thickness of the hotplate. Since cutting the panels to size at the edges can result in small pits and very sharp edges, they are serged by a standard cut of this kind. Alternatively, however, other sander passages are also possible, for example, an upper and a lower portion of each about one-third of the height of the end face by up to 40 °, but preferably approximately between 15 ° and 30 ° beveled against the vertical direction. The upper and lower edges of the faces can also be somewhat defused or broken.
  • the upstanding ridge may have a thickness of about 1 to 3 mm, preferably about 1.5 to 2.5 mm and in particular about 2 mm, wherein the frame members are preferably made of aluminum or a rigid elastic plastic material and has expediently at its upper edge portion of a formed, inwardly projecting against the stove plate and preferably adjacent to the front side rib.
  • the frame members have a certain stiffness but also elasticity, are distributed by the impact on them and act less punctually on the brittle stove, whereby a rupture or breakage of the same is avoided.
  • the material of the frame member but also has a certain elasticity, the shocks mitigated effect on the stove.
  • a against the end face of the stove plate protruding rib relatively thin and elastic, designed as a kind of lip a.

  • the rib can cover an adhesive joint between the hearth plate and the frame element, which gives a better appearance and protection of the joint and increases the ease of cleaning or ease of use.
  • a tapering of the rib to a narrow contact surface or contact edge is expedient for as seamless as possible concern, since the rounding or backward inclination of end faces of the hearth is different depending on the degree of wear of the along the edge grinding profiled Verklaberungstechnikmaschines or has large tolerances.
  • the rib or lip may be displaced upwardly so far in hard bumps on the sloped upper portion of the face as to reversibly somewhat slips or escapes over the top edge.
  • the elasticity of the adhesive layer is used more to shock more muted and distributed transferred to the brittle stove.
  • the rib can be directed obliquely upwards against the stove plate.
  • the upstanding web may have an inner longitudinal groove under the rib to make the rib more cantilevered and thus more elastic for deflections without substantially weakening the overall rigidity of the frame member as a result of the rib.

This cover ridge obscures the seal, which can thus be arranged relatively close to the edge without being visible, which is easy to clean and increases the ease of use of the hob.

If the hob is also intended for installation in island cooking areas, which are in the middle of the room, the rear edge portion of the hob is carried out expediently in this manner, since an operation can also be done from the rear side and there are similar conditions like in front.
  • the front and optionally additionally the rear edge region of the stove plate may be tapered to the edge protection from the top sloping to the edge and having an end face of reduced height, which preferably unobstructed, frameless exposed. Description

The invention relates to a hob, according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular for the household.

In known hobs of this type, a frameless glass ceramic hob overlaps a mounting cutout of the kitchen worktop on all sides, with its edge areas serving as a support flange. This has the advantage of a good appearance and a relatively large, not limited by frame elements stove surface on the harness ranked and also easily pulled by the stove top. However, since in modern kitchens, the worktops are often small, there is the disadvantage that in hectic kitchen operation, when standing much next to the hob, something can easily be pushed against an unprotected side edge of the stove and this damage.

Furthermore, hobs are known in which a heating elements bearing tub made of stainless steel sheet in a built-in cutout of a kitchen worktop is installed and glued into a circumferential upper shoulder, a stove plate made of glass ceramic. The surface of the stove plate is approximately at the height of the surface of the kitchen worktop. The tub has a stovetop slightly protruding, outwardly extending, upper circumferential recessed flange, which surrounds the hob as a frame and the edges against damage from shock, e.g. protects with pots. Since the frame also serves as the hob on the kitchen worktop abstützender mounting flange, it must be relatively wide, which limits the size of the free patch panel for pushing around cookware on the flat surface relative to the total area requirement of the hob and also for reasons of design z.T. is undesirable.

So revealed the EP 0 860 660 A1 a mounting system for hotplates.

Die EP 0 887 594 A1 offenbart eine Glaskeramik-Kochfläche.The EP 0 887 594 A1 discloses a glass ceramic cooking surface.

Finally, the reveals DE 196 49 767 A1 an arrangement for attaching glass ceramic cooking surfaces with a tapered edge edge region to a thin edge a worktop.

Often two or more cooktops, e.g. Electric, gas, induction, grill or wok hobs installed side by side. In this case, the two intermediate, wide frame elements are particularly disturbing, the space requirement and the aesthetic impression ago. Since the frame elements protrude beyond the surface of the stove plate, they also constitute an obstacle against moving cookware from one hob to the other.

The invention has for its object to avoid or mitigate disadvantages of the prior art, and in particular to provide a user-friendly hob.

This solution is achieved by the combination of features of claim 1. This solution has the advantage that it creates a cooktop with an aesthetically pleasing, inviting shape design, although it has a stove top of a brittle material such as toughened glass or glass ceramic is still robust and inexpensive has sufficient impact protection at its edges. The frame elements can be filigree narrow and inconspicuous, since they do not have the function of a mounting flange and protect the stove against shocks, which are mainly to be expected from the right or left, from the side, in which the worktop usually continues.

The preferably approximately vertically upstanding web can end at the height of the upper edge of the end face of the edge region. The vertical distance is between 0 and 2 mm, preferably between about 0.1 and 1 mm and in particular between about 0.3 and 0.5 mm. Even if an uppermost area of the face is exposed, it is largely protected against damage by shocks, since cookware usually have rounded and / or beveled bottom areas and when they first hit the top of the upstanding ridge on this be deflected upward and easily slide with this upward pulse over the top of the stove, if they touch them at all. Also, they can touch the face of the stove at best with their Bodenrundungen or Bodenabschrägungen that also deflects lateral shocks upwards. The end face of the bordered edge region preferably extends over the full height or thickness of the stove plate, since this is the cheapest solution, which has a positive effect that in the manufacture of the hobs whose end faces receive a so-called C-cut, the upper and lower heights of the over the full height of the hotplate extending end surfaces are processed by default so that they are inclined back towards the middle height range. This further promotes the distraction may still laterally on the stove plate abutting dishes up on the surface. A common inexpensive standard machining of the end face consists in that it is rounded by grinding substantially approximately circular arc each about an axis lying approximately at mid-height of the hotplate axis. The radius is about 0.6 to 2 times, preferably about 0.7 to 1.5 times the thickness of the hotplate and is in particular approximately equal to the thickness of the hotplate.

The upstanding ridge may have a thickness of about 1 to 3 mm, preferably about 1.5 to 2.5 mm and in particular about 2 mm, wherein the frame members are preferably made of aluminum or a rigid elastic plastic material and has expediently at its upper edge portion of a formed, inwardly projecting against the stove plate and preferably adjacent to the front side rib. The frame members have a certain stiffness but also elasticity, are distributed by the impact on them and act less punctually on the brittle stove, whereby a rupture or breakage of the same is avoided. At the same time, the material of the frame member but also has a certain elasticity, the shocks mitigated effect on the stove. In particular, a against the end face of the stove plate protruding rib relatively thin and elastic, designed as a kind of lip a. Preferably, it engages, for example, at the height of the upper edge surface of the upstanding web, at an upper, slightly inclined towards the vertical direction, for example, by edge rounding or -Versäuberung inclined region of the face, where they are deflected at stronger shocks something in the vertical direction and can absorb the force of impact. In this case, a rubber-elastic adhesive layer, with which the frame member is attached to the hob and the rigid-elastic frame member are reversibly deformed. The rib can cover an adhesive joint between the hearth plate and the frame element, which gives a better appearance and protection of the joint and increases the ease of cleaning or ease of use. A tapering of the rib to a narrow contact surface or contact edge is expedient for as seamless as possible concern, since the rounding or backward inclination of end faces of the hearth is different depending on the degree of wear of the along the edge grinding profiled Versäuberungswerkzeugs or has large tolerances. Also, if its inner end is narrow enough and close enough to or just below the top of the face, the rib or lip may be displaced upwardly so far in hard bumps on the sloped upper portion of the face as to reversibly somewhat slips or escapes over the top edge. As a result, the elasticity of the adhesive layer is used more to shock more muted and distributed transferred to the brittle stove.

The rib can be directed obliquely upwards against the stove plate. Also, the upstanding web may have an inner longitudinal groove under the rib to make the rib more cantilevered and thus more elastic for deflections without substantially weakening the overall rigidity of the frame member as a result of the rib. The upper edge surface of the upstanding ridge may be inclined at a slight angle to the horizontal inwardly inclined, thereby externally impinging on this surface objects already obtained a distraction upward and strike the front of the stove plate grazing.

The frame member has an outgoing from the uprising ridge inwardly below the stove plate cross, approximately horizontal leg or foot, which serves the better bonding of the frame member to the stove top and on its underside a attached seal can cooperate with the kitchen worktop. Furthermore, extending from the frame member, in extension of the upstanding web a Abdecksteg far enough down that he just ends when installed seal with compressed seal over the kitchen worktop or, if the seal is elastic enough, easily rests on the worktop. This cover ridge obscures the seal, which can thus be arranged relatively close to the edge without being visible, which is easy to clean and increases the ease of use of the hob. The cover web may also be thinner than the upstanding web, preferably by recess from the inside, so that the seal can be placed even closer to the edge of the hob.

Preferably, the outer flanks of the frame elements on the upstanding web and on the cover web are inclined vertically or slightly upwardly outwards, so that as far as possible no dirt joints between adjacent cooktops of the same edge design occur.

According to a preferred embodiment, a user-facing front and optionally a rear edge region of the stove is frameless free, resulting in a cheap, inviting, aesthetically pleasing design without the robustness of the hob significantly suffers. The knowledge is used that between the front edge of the hob and the front edge of the worktop only a narrow portion of the worktop is present on which hardly anything is stored, which could damage the leading edge. If the hob is also intended for installation in island cooking areas, which are in the middle of the room, the rear edge portion of the hob is carried out expediently in this manner, since an operation can also be done from the rear side and there are similar conditions like in front.

The front and optionally additionally the rear edge region of the stove plate, may be tapered to the edge protection from the top sloping to the edge and having an end face of reduced height, which preferably unobstructed, frameless exposed. It has been found that a tapered edge region, though thinner, is virtually less prone to breakage due to impacts than an unjointed one. This Probably comes from the fact that most shocks hit the sloping surface and are distracted there. For rejuvenation, the edge region may have a planar facet which may include an angle of less than 30 °, preferably less than about 15 ° and in particular about 3 to 8 °, with the horizontal or the surface of the remaining stovetop. Alternatively, the end face of the edge region can be rounded in cross-section, for example circular arc, preferably with a slightly overlapping the top of the hob, ie this non-tangent radius, resulting in a slight edge between the first gently sloping rounded edge region and the rest of the surface of the hob , which with a good appearance requires less manufacturing precision and is less expensive than a tangential curve. The axis of the rounding lies in the lower area of the stove top or below it. The radius is expediently equal to or greater than the thickness of the hotplate, wherein an arcuate bevel comes close to a large radius of curvature of a facet. The bow-shaped bevel can also not tangentially overlap the end face so that a part of the sifting cut remains in its lower area. The surface of the tapered area, which is made for example by grinding, is preferably polished and adapted to the rest of the surface of the stove.

Tapered front or rear edge areas cause a sloping height of the end face of the side edges in this area. In this case, the upper edge of the towering web is expediently also lowered in height, following the taper, likewise at the same angle in order to achieve a good appearance and to avoid protruding edges. Preferably, the frame member terminates at a small horizontal distance from the front and rear ends of the side face of the hearth plate.

If the hob is intended for installation in a wall extending through a worktop, it may be appropriate to surround the rear edge region with a frame element, so that the side frame members and the rear frame member together form a U-shaped frame, said Front edge region preferably remains frameless and is preferably tapered. The protection of the rear edge by a frame member may be advantageous if not intended for installation in a cooking island and objects can be placed between a wall and the hob, which jeopardize the trailing edge. Occasionally heavy decorative items such as porcelain or cast iron bricks, tiles or baking molds are also placed behind the hob or leaned against the wall, which can slip or fall over. A rear frame element also gives an optical termination of the hob to the rear, which may be desirable for some installation cases. The lateral and the rear frame element can be connected by a miter connection and hold each other, whereby they are also produced in one piece with cutting and bending.

A tapered edge portion may also be provided with a frame member which may be made correspondingly lower than the side frame members and its upstanding ridge preferably at a small distance below the top edge of the lower end face, e.g. ends below the plane of a facet.

The frame strips are preferably by means of a rubber-elastic adhesive, e.g. Silicone rubber or clamped attached to the hotplate, wherein the adhesive preferably forms a groove between the end face of the hotplate and the web at an adjacent the upper edge of the hotplate end upstanding ridge. The thickness of the elastic adhesive layer is laterally of the stove plate, e.g. about 0.3 to 1.2 mm and in particular about 0.7 mm and below the stove plate preferably a little more. In order to increase the elasticity to obtain expansion space, the adhesive layer may have an interruption, which preferably extends in the longitudinal direction of the frame member or the upstanding web may have at least one longitudinal groove which is not filled with adhesive. The frame members may comprise a preferably rigid elastic material, in particular a metal such as aluminum or stainless steel or a plastic and e.g. be made of semi-finished products such as extrusion or rolling, drawing or folding profiles, preferably made of extruded aluminum profiles.

In summary, it should be noted that at least the side edges of the brittle hob plate are bordered by frame members that end below or at the level of the upper edge of the adjacent end face of the hob and do not interfere with moving cookware over the edge. The frame members may have an upper, an adhesive joint covering, projecting against an end face of the hearth and possibly present at this rib. The less vulnerable front and rear edges can remain frameless, which is an inviting friendly look of the hob creates and saves costs. However, according to an advantageous embodiment, the trailing edge may also be bordered by a frame element which, with the lateral frame elements, forms a U-shaped, partially framed view from above. This can be advantageous if it is not intended for installation in a cooking island and objects can be placed between a wall and the hob, which jeopardize the trailing edge. A rear frame element also gives an optical termination of the hob to the rear, which may be desirable for some installation cases. The front and possibly also the rear edge region of the stove plate, in particular if they are not framed, may be tapered downwards from the upper side to the edge, for example by an arcuate edge grinding, which adjoins the surface of the stove plate at a shallow angle, which is also the case Risk of damaging the edge lowers and reinforces the inviting impression. The frame profile has a downwardly projecting cover web, which covers and protects the seal between the hob and the hob.

The sifting cut, e.g. The so-called C-finish is a standard applied, inexpensive, preferably not polished and relatively rough left grind for edge deterrence and cleanup, with steep slopes, which are not perceived as part of the surface of the hob, but as parts of the face. On the other hand, the more costly facet or the initially flat sloping bow cut, possibly after a roughing cut of an edge, is a tapering of the edge area of the hearth plate, which is perceived as a sloping part of the surface and preferably in its surface, over a larger horizontal area. eg after grinding is adjusted by polishing the remaining surface of the hob.

In the following the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to schematic drawings of exemplary embodiments.

The FIGS. 1 to 3 show a kitchen worktop 12 with a front edge 14 and a mounting cutout 16 in a hob 18 is installed. The hob 18 has a stove plate 20 made of glass ceramic, which is about 4 mm thick. This has, from the front edge 14 of the kitchen worktop 12 and away from the user, lateral edge regions 28 and 29 end faces 26 and the rear edge region 35 has a rear end face 36 with a so-called C-cut with a radius of about 3 to 4 mm, whose central axis lies in the middle height of the stove plate. This relatively coarse and not polished finish is used in the production for Kantenversäuberung and belongs to the inexpensive standard version of glass ceramic plates. A user-facing front edge portion 30 is beveled flat or tapered by grinding a facet 34 at an angle of about 15 ° to the horizontal after a C-cut from the surface 32 of the hearth plate 18 flat to its edge. The height of a remaining front end surface 44 is between one-third and one-half the thickness of the hearth plate 20. The surface of the facet 34 is polished around it adapt to the remaining surface 32 of the hob.

The right side edge portion 28 and the left side edge portion 29 and the rear edge portion 35 are bordered by side frame members 38 and 40 and a rear frame member 42, the U-shaped, seen from above, the front edge portion 30 frame and frame with each other suitable binders are connected or made by cutting or bending in one piece. The frame members 38 to 42 are made of the same extruded aluminum profile and have seen in cross section a 6 to 10 mm below the hearth 20 cross-horizontal leg 46, from the outside a vertically upstanding ridge 48 along the end face 26 of the stove plate 20 leads upwards , At the upstanding ridge 48 includes, in extension of the same from the horizontal leg 46 vertically down a piece of cover 50 and ends in the installed state of the hob 18 at a short distance above the worktop 12. The cover 50 obscured one behind the Bottom of the horizontal leg 46 glued seal 52 of a foam rubber-like, oil-soaked material, which is slightly compressed during installation and the hob 18 is supported on the countertop.

The upstanding ridge 48 terminates at a small distance of about 0.5 mm below the plane of the surface 32 of the hob plate 20. This distance is so small that cooking pots can only abut with their bevelled or rounded bottom portions of the top edge of the hot plate 20, whereby they are passed over the edge without damaging them. Also causes the standard C-cut a skew of the end face 26 in the uppermost area which supports the deflection of shocks. The horizontal leg 46 and the upstanding web 48 are glued with their upper side or inside to the underside or end face 26 of the stove plate 20 by means of an elastic adhesive 55 or a silicone rubber. The adhesive layer may be 0.5 to 1 mm thick and forms between the upper edge surface 54 of the upstanding ridge and the end face 26 of the hot plate 18, a flat groove 56th

The upper edges 48 of the side frame members 38 and 40 are bevelled in the front edge portion 30 of the hearth 20, the tapering latter by the facet 34, also sloping forward, so that the upper edge surface 54 of the vertical leg 48 in this area in each case at a constant distance under the Plane of facet 34 ends. The side frame members 38 and 40 end at the front in just such a small distance from the front end face 44 of the stove plate 20. To the underside of the hob 20, a heating elements carrying pan 58 is glued, which engages down into the mounting cutout 16. As in Figure 3 can be seen, the front edge portion 30 of the stove plate 20 is performed exposed without frame member and a slightly thicker seal 60 directly to the underside of the stove plate 20 against the front end face 44 slightly recessed glued.

According to a modified embodiment not according to the invention, the cross-sectional profile of the frame elements can also be embodied as L-shaped without a cover web.

In the FIG. 4 shown in detail, with respect to the profile of the frame elements modified embodiment shows a kitchen worktop 412 with a mounting cutout 416 in which a hob 418 is installed. The hob 418 has a stove plate 420 made of glass ceramic. This has at lateral edge regions, of which only the right edge portion 428 is shown end faces 426 with a so-called C-cut, which has a radius of about 3 to 4 mm and whose central axis lies at mid-height of the stove. The C-cut has in the present context in the description of the embodiment according to the FIGS. 1 to 3 mentioned advantages.

The edge portions, eg the right edge portion 428, are framed by frame members, eg the right frame member 440, which are made from the same aluminum extruded profile. This has a below the hearth 420 horizontal leg 446, from the outside a vertically upstanding ridge 448 along the end face 426 of the hearth 420 leads upwards, with a horizontal, flat top edge surface 470 at a small distance of about 0.5 mm below the plane of the surface 432 of the cooking plate 420 ends. Flushed and with its upper side in a horizontal plane with the upper edge surface 470 of the upstanding ridge 448, a rib or lip 472 formed thereon protrudes toward the hearth plate 420, wedge-shaped tapering from below, and lies against an upper inclined region of the end face 426 of the stove 420 at. In hard bumps against the frame member 440, the lip on the end face 426 elastically slightly upwards be deflected, which mitigates the transfer of the impact on the brittle stove plate. The upstanding ridge 448 is, seen from the lip 472, seen in section rectangular, with a thickness of about 2 mm.

According to a modification, the upstanding web 448 may have a, in Fig. 4 in broken lines 473 indicated inner longitudinal groove under the lip 472 have to increase the elasticity of the lip for deflections without weakening the total, by the lip 472 also increased rigidity of the frame member substantially. According to a modification, not shown, the lip can be even obliquely, even with its surface obliquely upwards against the stove plate out.

At the upstanding web 448 closes, in extension of the same over the horizontal leg 446 down to a Abdecksteg 450, which ends in the installed state of the cooktop 418 at a small distance above the worktop 412. The outer sides of the cover web 450 and the upstanding web 448 are aligned and extend in a vertical plane and pass with a very small radius of curvature of about 0.5 mm in a flat top edge surface 470, so that the transition point between adjacent hobs with this edge design only has a slight gap and is easy to clean. The cover bar 450 hides behind a pasted to the underside of the horizontal leg 446 seal 452 of a foam rubber-like, oil-soaked material, which is slightly compressed during installation and the hob 418 is supported on the countertop. The Abdecksteg 450 is narrower than the upstanding ridge, whereby the seal advantageously closer to the outer edge of the hob 418 used and the gap between the Abdecksteg 450 and the countertop 418 less deep and better cleanable.

The horizontal leg 446 and the upstanding ridge 448 are adhesively bonded to the underside or end face 426 of the hearth plate 420 by means of an elastic adhesive or with a silicone rubber. The adhesive layer is about 0.5 to 1 mm thick and may have to increase the elasticity cavities, for example, extend horizontally, for example in the groove 473. The lip 472 is located directly on the end face 426 but may according to a modification with a be thin elastic adhesive layer adhered to the end face.

According to a not shown further modification of the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 3 can also be a tapered edge region of the stove plate bordered by a frame element. This has a horizontal leg and an upstanding web that ends slightly below an imaginary extension of the plane of the facet 34 below the top of the remaining end face 44 and in its extension down a Abdecksteg that ends just above the kitchen worktop. The lateral frame members are so far against that of the embodiment according to the FIGS. 1 to 3 modified as they are led forward to the front frame member and connected in a miter connection with this, except for the lower upstanding ridge same front frame profile.

That in the Fig.5 to 7 shown, modified, non-inventive cooktop 518 is particularly suitable for so-called island herd, which are free in space and can be operated from two sides. It has a hearth plate 520, which is tapered sloping from above in its front edge region 530 by a circular-shaped bevel 534, the radius of which corresponds approximately to the thickness of the hotplate 520 or slightly larger and whose axis is in the lower region of the hotplate, so that imaginary circular arc extension of the bevel 534 protrudes slightly beyond the surface 532 of the hob plate 520 and results in a blunt edge 533 between this surface 532 and the bevel 534. This radius, which does not affect the surface 532, facilitates preparation during grinding and results in a satisfactorily clear design of the cooking plate 520. The radius and position of the axis of the bevel 534 are further selected such that the bevel 534 fully engages the front end face and the lower end face Range extends approximately vertically. If the stove plate 520 is made from a blank which receives the C-cut or a similar sander as standard on all sides, the radius of the bevel can also be chosen or the center of the arc can be set so that it does not touch the bottom in the lower area C-cut reaches out and also forms an edge there.

A left edge region 529 and a right edge region 528 are unrestrained and bordered by left and right frame members 538 and 540. The right frame member 540 has, as Fig. 6 shows a 6 to 10 mm below the hearth plate 520 cross-horizontal leg 546, a connecting upstanding ridge 548 and one of them over the surface 532 of the hob plate 520 cross-upper horizontal leg 549, as well as an extension of the vertical web 548 from the horizontal leg 546 down, in the installed state to close to the kitchen worktop, not shown extending Abdecksteg 550 for covering a omitted for clarity in the illustration, attached to the underside of the horizontal leg recessed seal. The hearth plate 520 encompassing legs 546, 548 and 549 are clamped onto the side edge portion 528 of the hob plate 520 and glued to the latter with an elastic adhesive 555 between the upstanding ridge 548 and an end face 526 of the hob 520.

In the front edge portion 530 of the hearth 520, the upstanding web 548 of the frame member 540 is cut out of the taper 534 of the hearth 520 and the upper horizontal leg 549 is bent over it and over the taper 534 and before the hearth 520 obliquely down to the front end of the hearth lower horizontal leg 546 and the front end of Abdeckstegs 550th

A rear edge region 535 of the hearth plate 520 is mirror-symmetrically provided in the same way to the taper with the surface 532 not tangent curved bevel 437 and not framed. The rear ends of the side frame members 538 and 540 are configured in the same manner as the front ends. The horizontal leg 546 terminates at the front and rear with the end faces of the hearth plate 520 and is covered by the downwardly bent end portion 580 of the upper horizontal leg 549. This embodiment is particularly suitable for so-called island stoves, which are free in space and can be operated from two sides.
