  7. Gas hob according to one of claims 1 - 6, characterised in that an area (11) along the outer edge is embodied for support on a hob plate (6).
  8. Gas hob according to one of claims 1 - 7, characterised in that the retainer plate (1, 16-19) is designed as a heat shield in the manner of a polygonal disc for thermally shielding a hob plate (6).
  9. Gas hob according to one of claims 1 - 8, characterised in that the opening (2) of the retainer plate (1, 16-19) runs below a hob plate surface (30).
  10. Gas hob according to one of claims 1 - 9, characterised in that the gas hob (13) comprises a number of openings (15) for gas burners (3, 21-24) and retainer plates (1, 16-19), wherein all retainer plates (1, 16-19) have the same contour.
  11. Gas hob according to claim 10, characterised in that a number of pan supports (7, 25-28) each form a support surface (25) for a food container (14) in the area of a gas burner (3, 21-24) and the support surfaces (25) have the same distance compared to a hob surface (30).
  12. Gas hob according to one of claims 1 - 10, characterised in that the hob plate (6) is manufactured at least partially from tempered glass or ceramic glass.
  13. Gas hob according to one of claims 1 - 10, characterised in that the hob plate (6) is manufactured at least partially from sheet metal in the manner of a trough and a with a hard glass or ceramic glass plate adhered to the underside of the sheet metal.
