Claims (2)

  1. A folder unit of a reel-fed printing press having a longitudinal folding device (10) and a transverse folding device (11) arranged seen in transport direction of the substrate material downstream of the longitudinal folding device (10), wherein the longitudinal folding device (10) comprises a single former (12), wherein substrate webs running into the former (12) as ribbon (13) are cut into part webs through a longitudinal cutting device assigned to the former (12) or through a longitudinal cutting device assigned in each case to at least one substrate web of the ribbon (13), which leave the former (12) as ribbon (14), wherein the ribbon (14) leaving the former (12) can be divided downstream of the former (12) and upstream of the transverse folding device (11) into part ribbons (18, 19, 20, 22, 23), and wherein at least one of the part ribbons in each case is assigned a stitcher (21), characterized in that the ribbon (14) leaving the former (12) can be divided into five part ribbons (18, 19, 20; 22, 23), wherein exclusively the middle part ribbon (19) and the two outer part ribbons (18, 20) or exclusively the two part ribbons (22, 23) running in each case between the middle part ribbon (19) and an outer part ribbon (18, 20), are assigned a stitcher (21) each.
  2. The folding unit according to Claim 1, characterized in that the part ribbons (18, 19, 20, 22, 23) can be united downstream of the or each stitcher (21) and upstream of the transverse folding device (11).
