Definitions
- the invention relates to a vehicle for the transport of a wheelchair, with a frame in which a drive for moving the vehicle is arranged and with a mounted on the frame platform for the wheelchair.
- auxiliary drives have become known with which wheelchairs can be pushed or pulled.
- Such an auxiliary drive is for example in the EP 0 419 085 A disclosed.
- the coupling of a wheelchair to a bicycle, as in the EP 0 863 067 A is proposed.
- motorized wheelchairs are difficult to mount bulky and relatively expensive. Motorized wheelchairs are comparatively expensive and, above all, not very suitable for rail transport.
- EP 1 616 545 A By the EP 1 616 545 A is known a vehicle that can be berien with a wheelchair.
- the vehicle is intended for moving a wheelchair on a staircase. It is a special vehicle and is not suitable for moving a wheelchair on a street.
- the invention has for its object to provide a vehicle of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned.
- the vehicle should also enable older and infirm persons to move in mountainous and hilly terrain.
- the object is achieved in a generic vehicle in that the platform for loading the vehicle with the wheelchair lowered and the vehicle at least one handle and by an attendant or the person sitting in the wheelchair is controllable.
- the attendant preferably steers the vehicle walking.
- the vehicle has a standing plate on which the accompanying person can stand and then ride along.
- the lowerable platform allows a very easy loading of the vehicle with the wheelchair.
- the disabled person can stay in the wheelchair.
- the at least one handle allows a very simple control of the vehicle.
- the handle may be arranged so that the vehicle can be controlled by the disabled person himself. Alternatively, a handle is possible that allows the vehicle to be controlled by the attendant.
- Two handles are also possible, one for the disabled person and the other for the accompanying person. In this case, the controller is programmed so that one of the handles has priority.
- a conventional wheelchair and in particular a so-called lightweight wheelchair can be moved by motor.
- a wheelchair can be moved by a companion in a hilly terrain to a train station.
- the wheelchair can be used, the vehicle is deposited at the station. After lowering the platform unloading is also very easy and possible without effort.
- the handle is a so-called joy stick for a self-propelled or arranged on a rear side of the frame handle.
- the movement of the vehicle is then particularly easy for a companion if the handle is a so-called sensor handle.
- a sensor handle allows a particularly simple and intuitive operation with little effort.
- the speed of the vehicle is automatically controlled by the walking speed of the escort.
- a capacitive or other hand detection buttons for switching on and off the engine and displays for example for the battery state of charge may be integrated.
- the handle can also be designed so that when released automatically a brake is activated.
- the operation is particularly easy for a companion when two spaced-apart handles are attached to the back of the vehicle. This allows in particular a high maneuverability.
- the vehicle has two wheels, each having a drive.
- the drives are preferably wheel hub drives.
- the two driven wheels have a distance from one another which is smaller than the usual distance between the two rear wheels of the wheelchair.
- the drive wheels of the vehicle are thus always between the two rear wheels of the wheelchair. This makes it possible that the drive wheels and the rear wheels of the wheelchair overlap in the direction of travel. This allows a particularly short construction of the vehicle.
- wheelchairs with very different distances between the rear wheels can be used.
- the platform is height adjustable according to a development of the invention and can be turned off on the ground traveled by the vehicle. If the platform is parked on the ground or the path, the wheelchair can be driven onto the platform without a step. The vehicle is stably parked and can not tip over.
- the platform at a distance from a front edge two mutually spaced recesses or depressions, in each of which a rear wheel of a wheelchair is retractable to its coupling.
- This allows a particularly simple and secure coupling or fixing the wheelchair on the vehicle.
- the two rear wheels automatically move into the recess or recess, thereby fixing the wheelchair by its own weight.
- the wheelchair then only has to be braked with its own brake. He is then securely fixed on the vehicle. Other fasteners are not required.
- the two rear wheels of the wheelchair here in each case at a front edge of the recess and on a stop plate.
- an energy source for the vehicle is particularly and preferably provided an electric battery or an accumulator.
- the platform is preferably moved with an electric lifting drive, for example by means of a spindle.
- the lowering and raising of the platform is preferably carried out via four levers which are hinged to a frame base at a distance from each other.
- the FIG. 1 shows a vehicle according to the invention 1, which has a frame 3, on which a left wheel 11 and a right Wheel 12 are stored. As seen in the running direction, these wheels 11 and 12 are in the rear area.
- the wheels 11 and 12 each have a known, non-visible wheel hub drive.
- the two wheel hub drives each have a controller. Preferably, these wheel hub drives are designed so that the control of one drive reads the parameters of the other drive.
- a battery is housed in a box 3a of the frame 3. Also located in box 3a is an internal charger with electronic charging current monitoring.
- a frame base 3b On a frame base 3b is also in the distance to the wheels 11 and 12 approximately centrally in a FIG. 3 visible wheel 22 is arranged. Instead of this single wheel 22 and two spaced apart wheels can be attached to the frame base 3b. The wheel 22 and the two wheels mentioned are movably mounted on the lower part 3b.
- the frame base 3b is covered by a platform 4, which is mounted with levers 20 and 21 lowered on the frame base 3b.
- the front two levers 20 and 21 are visible. In the distance there are opposite two equal here not visible levers.
- the platform 4 is thus mounted on four levers. These levers are each secured at lower ends with a hinge 25 on the frame base 3b.
- the platform 4 has an approximately U-shaped surface 6 and centrally an upwardly extending hood 4a, on the upper side a bearing part 10 is attached.
- a lifting drive 9 attacks. This is preferably, but not necessarily, an electric drive. The movement takes place, for example, in a conventional manner with a spindle not visible here.
- a pivot 19 FIG. 3 ) connects the lifting drive 9 with the Bearing part 10.
- the in FIG. 3 drawn double arrow 26 shows the movements of the lifting drive. Is in FIG. 3 the platform 4 to the left and thus moved forward, so the levers 20 and 21 are pivoted in the counterclockwise direction accordingly. The platform 4 is thereby lowered until it hits a bottom 27.
- the platform 4 is in the lowered position, this may be from an in FIG. 2 wheelchair 2 are steplessly driven.
- the wheelchair is a so-called light wheelchair and can be pushed at two handles 18.
- Two rear wheels 16 and two smaller front wheels 17 are formed as usual.
- the platform 4 has for this purpose an approximately U-shaped horizontally extending edge 4b. On two parallel opposite sides, this edge 4b is bounded by upwardly directed bends 5.
- the FIG. 2 shows the wheelchair 2 in a position in which it is in transport position on the platform 4.
- the wheelchair 2 rolls against the direction of travel of the vehicle 1 to the rear until the rear wheels 16 of the wheelchair 2 each abut against a stop plate 13.
- the two wheels 16 in each case engage in a recess 7 in a lower region.
- the distance between the two wheels 11 and 12 to each other is smaller than the distance between the two wheels 16 of the wheelchair 2.
- This allows an arrangement of the wheelchair 2, in which the wheels 11 and 12 and the wheels 16 in the view according to the FIG. 3 overlap a bit.
- This allows a particularly short construction of the vehicle 2.
- the two stop plates 13 are correspondingly arranged so that they are located approximately above the axis of the two wheels 11 and 12, as in particular in the FIG. 3 is apparent.
- the attachment of the two stop plates 13 takes place with carriers 14, which connect the plates 13 with the platform 4. When moving the platform 4 thus the two stop plates 13 are also moved.
- the wheelchair 2 can thus not roll backwards in the raised position or in the lowered position.
- the vehicle 1 can be moved and controlled by a companion, not shown here.
- two handles 15 are arranged on the frame 3. These handles 15 are attached to the frame 3 with bent tubes 23 so that, as can be seen, they protrude rearward and can be grasped by the escort person by hand.
- the handles 15 are so-called sensor handles.
- Such known per se handles are provided with strain gauges or piezo crystals and allow a very simple and safe control of the vehicle.
- at least one of these handles 15 has a hand recognition, for example a capacitive hand recognition.
- the vehicle 1 are moved substantially without effort. Very small forces on the handles 15 are converted into corresponding control commands. The vehicle 1 can thereby be moved very easily and with an intuitive operation.
- the speed of the vehicle 1 adapts automatically to the running speed of the operator. Corresponding regulations or controls are known per se.
- an automatic braking is provided as soon as the handles 15 are released.
- the two motors of the wheels 11 and 12 are immediately quiet as soon as the two handles 15 are released. This ensures that the vehicle 1 is braked as soon as it is no longer held on the handles 15.
- a so-called Joy Stick 28 (FIG. FIG. 3 ) be provided. This is arranged so that it is operated by the person sitting in the wheelchair 2. The control is done by the corresponding movement of a handle 29. This is also possible with very little effort. If both the handles 15 and the joy stick 28 are provided on the vehicle 1, then the controller is programmed so that one of the handles has priority. For example, the two handles 15 may have priority. If both the handles 15 and the joy stick 28 are actuated, the drive with the handles 15 follows. It is also possible to use a selector switch, not shown here, on which it is possible to set which control should have priority.
- the vehicle 1 has a plug connection, not shown here, for a computer which operates according to FIG. 3 is covered by a removable cover 24.
- a plug connection for example, the maximum speed can be set. But there are also other parameters programmable, so that a large adaptation to the user is possible. Possible are also indications of the state of charge of the battery.
- the end positions can be defined, for example, via switches, not shown here.
- the vehicle 1 can only be driven when the platform 4 with the wheelchair 2 has reached the end position. In this, the platform 4 is slightly inclined forward, for example, 1 to 4 and preferably about 2 degrees. When lifting the platform 4 is first tilted slightly backwards and then forward to the end position. This ensures a safe and convenient for the wheelchair user as well as the companion.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a vehicle for the transport of a wheelchair, with a frame in which a drive for moving the vehicle is arranged and with a mounted on the frame platform for the wheelchair.
Many disabled people rely on a wheelchair. So-called lightweight wheelchairs that are not motorized and that can be moved by an accompanying person or by the disabled person are often particularly suitable for such persons. However, non-motorized wheelchairs have the disadvantage that they can not be moved on rising roads and generally in hilly area by the disabled person and also by escorts, since the forces required for this lack. Such persons are therefore often prevented from moving in hilly terrain.

The invention has for its object to provide a vehicle of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned. The vehicle should also enable older and infirm persons to move in mountainous and hilly terrain.
The object is achieved in a generic vehicle in that the platform for loading the vehicle with the wheelchair lowered and the vehicle at least one handle and by an attendant or the person sitting in the wheelchair is controllable. The attendant preferably steers the vehicle walking. It is also conceivable, however, that the vehicle has a standing plate on which the accompanying person can stand and then ride along. The lowerable platform allows a very easy loading of the vehicle with the wheelchair. The disabled person can stay in the wheelchair. The at least one handle allows a very simple control of the vehicle. The handle may be arranged so that the vehicle can be controlled by the disabled person himself. Alternatively, a handle is possible that allows the vehicle to be controlled by the attendant. Two handles are also possible, one for the disabled person and the other for the accompanying person. In this case, the controller is programmed so that one of the handles has priority.
It is essential that with the vehicle, a conventional wheelchair and in particular a so-called lightweight wheelchair can be moved by motor. With the vehicle, for example, a wheelchair can be moved by a companion in a hilly terrain to a train station. For further transport by train then the wheelchair can be used, the vehicle is deposited at the station. After lowering the platform unloading is also very easy and possible without effort.
According to a development of the invention it is provided that the handle is a so-called joy stick for a self-propelled or arranged on a rear side of the frame handle.
The movement of the vehicle is then particularly easy for a companion if the handle is a so-called sensor handle. Such a sensor handle allows a particularly simple and intuitive operation with little effort. The speed of the vehicle is automatically controlled by the walking speed of the escort. In the handle, a capacitive or other hand detection, buttons for switching on and off the engine and displays for example for the battery state of charge may be integrated. The handle can also be designed so that when released automatically a brake is activated.
The operation is particularly easy for a companion when two spaced-apart handles are attached to the back of the vehicle. This allows in particular a high maneuverability.
According to a development of the invention, the vehicle has two wheels, each having a drive. The drives are preferably wheel hub drives.
According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the two driven wheels have a distance from one another which is smaller than the usual distance between the two rear wheels of the wheelchair. The drive wheels of the vehicle are thus always between the two rear wheels of the wheelchair. This makes it possible that the drive wheels and the rear wheels of the wheelchair overlap in the direction of travel. This allows a particularly short construction of the vehicle. In addition, wheelchairs with very different distances between the rear wheels can be used.
The platform is height adjustable according to a development of the invention and can be turned off on the ground traveled by the vehicle. If the platform is parked on the ground or the path, the wheelchair can be driven onto the platform without a step. The vehicle is stably parked and can not tip over.
According to a development of the invention, the platform at a distance from a front edge two mutually spaced recesses or depressions, in each of which a rear wheel of a wheelchair is retractable to its coupling. This allows a particularly simple and secure coupling or fixing the wheelchair on the vehicle. When the wheelchair is driven onto the platform, the two rear wheels automatically move into the recess or recess, thereby fixing the wheelchair by its own weight. The wheelchair then only has to be braked with its own brake. He is then securely fixed on the vehicle. Other fasteners are not required. In the fixed state are the two rear wheels of the wheelchair here in each case at a front edge of the recess and on a stop plate.
As an energy source for the vehicle is particularly and preferably provided an electric battery or an accumulator. The platform is preferably moved with an electric lifting drive, for example by means of a spindle. The lowering and raising of the platform is preferably carried out via four levers which are hinged to a frame base at a distance from each other.
