Definitions

  • the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, in particular a vacuum cleaner, with a housing in which a motor-driven suction fan and a device for producing the power supply of the fan motor is arranged, wherein the power supply of the fan motor within the housing both an accumulator and a cable drum for the optional operation of Vacuum cleaner in accumulator and mains voltage operation are arranged as integral components.
  • vacuum cleaners which have a power supply line. These have the disadvantage that for their energy supply a mains voltage must be present in reachable. This is especially not the case when cleaning stairs or motor vehicles, so that then has to work with extension cables, which reduces the ease of use.
  • vacuum cleaners which can be operated independently of the mains, wherein for mains-independent operation, a power supply module is provided which has, for example, one or more battery cells.
  • a vacuum cleaner is known, which has in its housing an externally accessible cavity for receiving a removable battery assembly.
  • the local vacuum cleaner has means for releasably holding the battery assembly to the cavity.
  • Battery or accumulator-fed vacuum cleaners have the disadvantage that, because of the high power consumption of the suction fan, the loading capacity is generally insufficient to thoroughly clean a large carpet or a room laid out with carpeting, so that it must be recharged several times. This also reduces the ease of use.
  • a vacuum cleaner is disclosed with a blower motor, wherein an external accumulator unit is provided for the power supply of the blower motor.
  • the vacuum cleaner shown here has a connection cable with which the fan motor can be connected to the accumulator unit for power supply.
  • an operating voltage of 18 V or 24 V is proposed.
  • the WO 2004/041054 A1 describes a vacuum cleaner in which both the brush roller and the fan of a suction attachment with rechargeable batteries is operated. A mains connection makes it possible to charge the batteries in the device. A similar vacuum cleaner is also from the US 2002/112315 A1 known.
  • the invention has the problem of disclosing a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned, which allows both a network operation and a network-independent operation and in which the difference for the maximum adjustable power consumption of the fan motor between mains voltage operation and accumulator operation is kept within reasonable limits.
  • the blower motor is designed for a nominal voltage between 80 and 120 volts in maximum operation and the voltage generated by the accumulator is between 50 volts and 80 volts.
  • the mains voltage to an operating voltage between 50 volts and 100 volts, a corresponding circuit arrangement is provided.
  • the user can use the vacuum cleaner as a hybrid vacuum cleaner without retrofitting in both modes, where it can be used in mains voltage operation as a full vacuum cleaner and in accumulator mode for the "intermediate suction" is fast and flexible with slightly lower, but still acceptable suction available. The latter is especially true for places that are not usually within reach of a power outlet, z. As garden sheds, terraces, stairs or cars.
  • the accumulator is arranged in a lower shell at the bottom of the housing.
  • the lower shell is double-walled with stiffening struts. It is also expedient if a plurality of individual accumulator cells are arranged in the lower shell and / or if removal openings for the accumulator or the accumulator cells are provided in the lower shell.
  • mains voltage supply is sensed by a further circuit arrangement and the operating mode with supplied mains voltage to mains voltage operation and not available mains voltage supply to accumulator operation is adjustable.
  • An advantageous method for operating such a vacuum cleaner is characterized in that in mains voltage operation, a charge of the accumulator takes place, so that the vacuum cleaner can then be operated at any time without power cord.
  • the further circuit arrangement reduces the maximum value, which can be selected by means of a power controller, for the fan power in the case of accumulator operation in relation to the mains voltage operation. This makes it clear to the user that he can no longer set the full power available in mains operation in battery operation.
  • the mains voltage operation and the accumulator operation must be locked against each other, for example by a change-over relay.
  • FIGS. 1 to 3 in particular show a inventively designed as a hybrid vacuum cleaner vacuum cleaner 1.
  • a cable drum 2 (see FIG. 6 ) provided thereon with power supply cable 3, which as in other manufactured and distributed by the Applicant vacuum cleaners (see also DE 10 2005 018 908 ) Rear right inside the housing 4 and therefore not visible in the figures.
  • the guided out of the housing 4 end of the connecting cable 3 is shown together with power plug 3.1.
  • an accumulator 5 is present, wherein the accumulator 5 and the cable drum 2 are arranged as firmly integrated components in the vacuum cleaner housing 4.
  • the accumulator 5 is arranged in a lower shell 6 at the bottom of the housing 4.
  • the lower shell 6 is in isolated representation again in the FIG. 4 shown in perspective.
  • the accumulator 5 is constructed of individual cells 7, which are electrically connected in series to generate an output voltage of about 65 volts (not shown).
  • the lower shell 6 is double-walled with stiffening struts 8, so that the shell 6 provides sufficient strength.
  • the lower shell removal openings 11 are provided for replacing the battery cells 7.
  • the accumulator cells 7 are arranged in the front region of the lower shell 6 below the dust chamber 9, which brings with it the advantage that cooling of the cells 7 takes place during the charging process by the sucked air into the dust chamber 9.
  • FIG. 5 shows in plan view in particular the area of the vacuum cleaner 1, in which between the power button 12 and the button 13 for actuating the automatic cable winder, a control panel 14 with a plus-minus button 15 and an associated display 16 is arranged. With the plus-minus button 15, the power of the fan motor 10 is set.
  • FIG. 6 shows in isolation the electrical diagram of the power supply for the hybrid vacuum cleaner 1, as already described. It will be used for the symbols of the components that in the FIGS. 1 to 5 are represented representationally, the same reference numerals.
  • a universal motor 10 which can be operated with a maximum voltage of 100 volts is provided for the drive of the fan, which receives an electrical power of about 1200 watts at this voltage.
  • the mains voltage is at contacted power plug 3.1 via the cable drum. 2 to a first, integrated in the device control 17 inverter 18 passed. There, it is transformed by pulse width modulation of 230 volts to an output voltage between 50 and 100 volts, which is then at a first voltage output to the terminals 19.1 and 19.2.
  • the final level of the output voltage depends on the set value of the plus-minus button 15, in FIG. 6 symbolized by the potentiometer 15.1, wherein an output voltage of 100 volts of a power consumption of about 1200 watts and a set value of 50 volts corresponds to a power consumption of about 300 watts.
  • the mains voltage via a second inverter 20, also integrated in the device control 17, transformed down to 75 volts and then rectified. This voltage is parallel to the lines 21.1 and 21.2, which are performed by the accumulator 5 to a second voltage output 22 and charge the battery 5 when contacted power plug 3.1.
  • the output voltage generated by the accumulator 5, also by pulse width modulation of a maximum of 65 volts (equivalent to a power of 600 watts) to 50 volts (equivalent to a power of 300 watts) can be reduced.
  • a changeover relay 24 sets the fan motor 10 in the de-energized state via the on-off button 12 as shown to the second voltage output with the terminals 22.1 and 22.2. As a result, the power supply via the accumulator 5 is produced. When the power plug 3.1 is contacted, the change-over relay 24 picks up and switches the fan motor 10 to the first voltage output 19.1 and 19.2. As a result, an automatic switch to mains voltage operation is established.
  • the relay 24 By the relay 24 accumulator operation and mains voltage operation to avoid a short circuit are securely locked against each other.
  • the relay and the voltage outputs 19.1 / 19.2 and 22.1 / 22.2 are thus components of a circuit arrangement by which a mains voltage supply can be sensed and the operating mode with supplied mains voltage to mains voltage operation and in the absence of mains voltage supply to accumulator operation is adjustable. This circuit is symbolized by the box 23.
  • the device If the device is switched off and the power plug 3.1 is not plugged in, no function of the vacuum cleaner 1 is possible. If the device is switched off and the power plug 3.1 is contacted, the battery cells 7 are charged. If the device is turned on via the on-off button 12 and plugged in the power plug 3.1, the battery cells 7 are charged and the vacuum cleaner 1 runs in line voltage operation. If the device is turned on via the on-off button 12 and the power plug 3.1 is not contacted, the vacuum cleaner 1 runs exclusively in battery operation. It thus becomes clear how easy to use the hybrid vacuum cleaner 1 according to the invention is. In which mode of the invention Hybrid vacuum cleaner 1 is operated, thus ultimately depends only on whether the power plug 3.1 is contacted or not.
  • an unillustrated rotary potentiometer can be used whose power setting is not labeled with numbers, but only with "Max” and “Min”.
  • the "Max” position then corresponds to 2000 or 1200 watts, in accumulator mode 600 watts.
  • the "Min” position corresponds to the setting of 300 watts.
