  • auxiliary switches For switching devices, in particular for low-voltage switchgear, a whole series of different auxiliary switches from the prior art are known. These auxiliary switches are used to pass the switching position of the switching device to the outside.
  • a switching device with auxiliary switch according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from the document EP343046 known.
  • Auxiliary switches have hitherto only been fastened to the front of switching devices. This leads to a low flexibility in assembly and handling of such devices.
  • An object of the present invention is to increase this flexibility.
  • an auxiliary switch which has a fixed contact element, a movable contact element for contacting the fixed contact element, a movable contact element holding movable contact holder and a contact holder connected to the coupling element for transmitting a switching position of the switching device to the auxiliary switch, wherein the auxiliary switch to the side the switching device can be fastened.
  • the coupling element is releasably connected to the contact holder. This is particularly advantageous when one and the same auxiliary switch to be attached to the switching device in various ways and thereby the use of different types of coupling elements is required.
  • a coupling element which preferably engages in the contact holder and is preferably perpendicular to the contacting direction of the contact holder is provided as the coupling element.
  • auxiliary switch can not only be arranged laterally, but alternatively also on the front side on the switching device.
  • an end connected to the contact holder connecting head is preferably provided as a coupling element.
  • the connection head preferably runs in the contacting direction of the contact holder. In other words, it protrudes from a coupling surface of the auxiliary switch in the direction of the switching device.
