Description

The invention relates to a door for a cooking appliance with an inside facing a cooking chamber. The invention also relates to a cooking appliance which has such a door.

Cooking appliances, which include ovens, microwave ovens, stoves and the like, usually have an interior that is a cooking, roasting or baking chamber. In the following, the term cooking space is always used for the interior, although, as stated, the cooking space can also be a baking or roasting space. Cooking also includes both moist cooking techniques, such as boiling, steaming, stewing, simmering, pressure cooking, low-temperature cooking, etc., as well as dry cooking techniques, such as roasting, sautéing, grilling, deep-frying, stewing, microwaves, etc., and baking.

The cooking space of the cooking appliance is accessible via a door, with the door closing the cooking space during operation of the cooking appliance in such a way that as little heat as possible can escape from the cooking space. The door of the cooking appliance can be designed, for example, as a sliding door or as a door that can pivot about an axis.

During operation of the cooking appliance, in which dishes containing moisture are prepared in the cooking chamber under the influence of heat, it often happens that condensation forms and precipitates, particularly in the area of the door and/or on the inside of the door. When the door is opened, the condensate, in particular drops of condensate, can undesirably get onto the floor, into a warming drawer and/or onto a piece of furniture in which the cooking appliance is installed, for example, which can lead to contamination of the floor, the warming drawer and/or or the furniture as well as swelling of the furniture or limescale residues on the floor, the warming drawer and/or the furniture. This problem occurs not only, but increasingly, with so-called Steam devices, which primarily use steam.

In order to counteract this problem, one from the disclosure document DE 10 2004 020 181 A1 Known cooking appliance has a door drip tray on its cooking chamber door, by means of which condensate running down the cooking chamber door can be collected and released in a controlled manner via a sliding device with openings to an appliance drip tray, in which the condensate can then evaporate or wipe up. Due to the sliding device, the device drip tray is, on the one hand, quite large and, on the other hand, quite complicated. There is also a risk that the condensate collecting in the door drip tray will escape uncontrollably from the door drip tray if the sliding device is not regularly operated manually.

In the case of a steamer, which is described in the published publication DE 38 20 572 A1 As described, there is also a channel on the door to collect condensate. This channel is open at one of its side ends, so that a permanent drainage opening for the condensate is provided, which does not have to be opened manually. In order to be able to collect condensate draining out of the gutter via the drain opening, an additional collecting gutter is removably attached below the gutter to the steam cooker housing. This collecting channel is wider than the channel above, so that the condensate draining through the drain opening can reach the collecting channel relatively safely. However, the entire structure is very large, especially due to the wider collecting channel.

In contrast, a simpler gutter construction for collecting condensate is included in the utility model DE 94 20 938 shown. Here, a condensate collecting pan is attached directly to an oven below an oven door, with a channel-like depression being formed on the inside of the oven door, which is further formed into a drip edge. When the oven door is open, condensate liquid can collect in the recess, which can flow over the drip edge into the condensate collecting tray when the oven door is closed. However, the recess cannot be removed from the oven door for cleaning because the inside of the oven door forms the recess itself. In addition, with this structure there is a risk that the condensate, especially when the oven door is open, can easily get into the interior of the oven door and dirty the interior of the oven door, as is particularly clear from the illustration Figure 2 is visible. A drop of condensation may drip from the recess into the interior of the oven door. However, the inside of the oven door is usually very difficult or impossible to access, so that dirt can only be removed with difficulty or not at all.

DE 101 56 419 A describes a cooking appliance door which has a condensate drip edge, below which a condensate collecting channel is arranged.

JPS 54-144267 discloses a door for a cooking appliance according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention is therefore based on the object of further developing a door for a cooking appliance and a cooking appliance of the type mentioned in such a way that an object, for example a piece of furniture or a floor, can be acted upon , with a liquid with a structurally low cost of a collecting device is avoided in a particularly operationally safe manner.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a door according to claim 1. Since condensate often forms on the inside of the door of a cooking appliance, which can run down the inside of the door when the door is opened, it is proposed according to the invention to use one on the inside of the door Assign a collecting device for a liquid to the cooking appliance. The liquid does not necessarily have to be just aqueous condensate, i.e. just one type of liquid. Rather, the liquid can also be a liquid mixture, for example aqueous condensate and a food liquid.

The provision of a collecting device is particularly advantageous if the door, as according to a variant of the invention, can be pivoted about an at least substantially horizontal or vertical axis. In the case of a horizontal axis, the pivot axis of the door is usually arranged below the cooking space of the cooking appliance. If the door is opened during or after a cooking process of a food in the cooking space of the cooking appliance, the collecting device is preferably used to collect condensate deposited on the inside of the door, which can run down the inside of the door when the door is opened and is ultimately picked up in the collecting device becomes. This prevents condensation that has formed on the inside of the door from getting onto furniture or a floor, for example.

According to a variant of the invention, the collecting device is designed such that it can at least partially release the liquid or condensate collected into a collecting device for a liquid of the cooking appliance when the door is closed. Liquid can also remain in the door's collecting device, which can evaporate naturally, for example. The liquid collected in the collecting device of the cooking appliance can also evaporate naturally or can be removed from the collecting device using a cloth after the cooking process.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the inside of the door for a cooking appliance has at least one plate, which is preferably a continuous, i.e. uninterrupted plate. When the door is closed, this plate usually lies against a seal in the cooking chamber of the cooking appliance, so that as little heat as possible can escape from the cooking chamber during operation of the cooking appliance. The plate is preferably made of glass, so that the glass plate or glass pane allows an operator of the cooking appliance to see through the door into the cooking space. In addition, such glass plates are relatively easy to clean.

According to a variant of the invention, the plate has at least one drip edge on its underside facing the collecting device, which is intended to prevent drops of condensate from running laterally along the underside of the plate and on the outer sides of the plate, which may no longer be assigned a collecting device is to drain. According to one embodiment of the invention, the plate can also have at least one groove, an undercut and / or a nose for draining the liquid on its underside facing the collecting device. The groove, undercut and/or nose can run in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the plate or the collecting device or can be arranged on both sides on the underside of the plate, for example essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the plate or the collecting device, in order to achieve the previously mentioned lateral To prevent drops of liquid from running along.

A variant of the invention provides that the underside of the plate projects at least partially into the collecting device, so that as much as possible of the liquid or all the condensate that forms on the plate is picked up by the collecting device.

The collecting device is preferably a gutter. Likewise, the collecting device of the cooking appliance can also be a channel and/or recess of the cooking appliance.

The longitudinal extent of the collecting device of the door is at least equal to, but preferably larger than, the width of the cooking chamber of the cooking appliance, so that with a preferred central arrangement of the collecting device relative to the cooking chamber, practically no liquid can get past the collecting device.

According to a variant of the invention, the collecting device for receiving the liquid is closed laterally on both sides of its longitudinal extent and, according to a further variant of the invention, is made of metal, a metal alloy and/or a temperature-resistant plastic.

According to the invention, the collecting device is integrated into a closure on the underside of the door. The closure closes the underside of the door and also has the collecting device.

The object of the invention is also achieved by a cooking appliance which has one of the doors described above. The cooking appliance is preferably an oven.

  • FIGS. 5, 6 : partial sectional views of the cooking appliance with the door opened and closed.

In FIG 1 a view of the inside of a door 1 of a cooking appliance 12 is shown. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the door 1 of the cooking appliance 12 comprises an inner plate 2 and an outer plate 3. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the plate 2 is made of glass, so that the plate 2 is an inner pane 2 of the door 1 acts, which can preferably be provided with a heat-reflecting coating, not shown.

In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the plate 3 is also made of glass and represents a front or outer pane 3 of the door 1. The arrangement of the inner pane 2 and the outer pane 3 relative to one another is in particular the FIG 2 refer to. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, a plate 4 in the form of a center disk 4 is also arranged between the outer pane 3 and the inner pane 2. The outer pane 3 and the middle pane 4 can also be provided with a heat-reflecting coating.

The inner pane 2, the outer pane 3 and the middle pane 4 are arranged on frame components 5 of the door 1 in a manner not shown in detail, i.e. H. attached to these, which can be accomplished in a manner known per se, for example by means of adhesive connections, plug connections, clamp connections, screw connections or the like.

The inside of the door 1, in particular the inner pane 2 of the door 1, is assigned a collecting device 6 for a liquid. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the collecting device 6 is a collecting channel 6 for a liquid. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the collecting channel 6 is arranged on the underside of the door 1 and integrated into a closure 7 on the underside of the door 1. The end 7, which is attached to frame parts 5 of the door 1, closes the interior of the door 1 on the underside of the door 1. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the end 7 and thus also the collecting channel 6 are made of a temperature-resistant plastic. In the present case, the collecting channel 6 and the end 7 are a plastic injection molded part. However, the end 7 and the collecting channel 6 can also be made of a metal, a metal alloy or another temperature-resistant material.

The inner pane 2 and the collecting channel 6 are like that FIGS. 2 and 3 can be removed, arranged relative to one another in such a way that the inner pane 2 protrudes at least partially into the collecting trough 6, so that liquid, for example condensate flowing down, on the inside of the inner pane 2 facing a cooking chamber is picked up relatively safely by the collecting trough 6. If it is mentioned above that the inner pane 2 protrudes into the collecting trough 6, this does not necessarily mean that the inner pane 2 protrudes into the interior of the collecting trough 6. Rather, the inner pane 2 can only be in the in FIG 3 indicated collecting area 21 of the collecting channel 6 protrude.

The inner pane 2 is preferably designed in such a way that it has a drip edge 8 on its underside facing the collecting trough 6, which ensures that condensate running down on the inside of the inner pane 2 actually drips into the collecting trough 6 at the drip edge 8 and not on the underside runs along the side of the inner pane 2 and possibly drips into the outer areas of the inner pane 2 next to the collecting channel 6. The inner pane 2 can also have one in the FIG 3 only have a schematically indicated groove 9, an undercut 10 and / or a nose 11, which should lead to the liquid dripping off. However, the groove 9, the undercut 10 and the nose 11 do not necessarily have to extend along the underside of the inner pane 2, but can also, as in FIG 1 indicated for two lugs 11, can be arranged on both sides on the underside of the inner pane 2, the lugs 11 in this case running essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the inner pane 2 or the collecting channel 6. In this case, the noses 11 prevent drops from migrating laterally on the underside of the inner pane 2 beyond the collecting channel 6.

Demnach handelt es sich bei der Tür 1 um eine Schwenktür.in FIG 4 a detail shows the arrangement of the door 1 on a cooking appliance 12 in a perspective view from above. The door 1 can be pivoted about a substantially horizontal axis A. Accordingly, door 1 is a swing door.

Door 1 is like that FIG 4 can be removed with the help of two hinge joints 13, of which in FIG 4 only one is shown, arranged on a body 14 of the cooking appliance 12. To attach the hinge joints 13 to the door 1, it has L-shaped devices 15, as shown in particular in the FIG 1 and 3 can be recognized. The body 14 of the cooking appliance 12 has corresponding rail-like recesses 16 in which the hinge joint 13 or the hinge joints 13 can be fastened to the body 14.

Again FIG 4 can also be removed, the cooking appliance 12 has a cooking space 17 and a seal 18 surrounding the cooking space. In the body 14 there is a further collecting device 19 for a liquid, which is a depression in the body 14 or a collecting channel 19 in the body 14.

If the door 1 is closed, the inner pane 2 rests against the seal 18 of the cooking appliance 12 and closes the cooking space 17 in such a way that as little heat as possible can escape from the cooking space 17 to the outside when the cooking appliance 12 is in operation. With certain operating modes and cooking processes, it can happen that the. Inside of the inner pane 2 condensate precipitates, which runs down the inside of the inner pane 2 when the door 1 is opened. In this case, 2 drops of condensate form on the drip edge 8 of the inner pane, which drip off the drip edge 8 and are picked up by the collecting channel 6 of the door 1. For this purpose, the collecting trough 6, which is laterally closed on both sides of its longitudinal extent with side walls 22, extends at least over the width of the cooking space 17. As a rule, the collecting trough 6 is slightly longer than the width of the cooking space 17 and protrudes in the preferred central arrangement relative to the cooking chamber 17 on both sides beyond the width of the cooking chamber 17, so that all condensate that precipitates on the inside of the inner pane 2 can be collected in the collecting channel 6 as safely as possible. The condensate tends to collect when door 1 is opened, as shown in FIG 4 is shown, in the collecting channel 6. The collecting channel 6 therefore prevents the condensate from getting onto the inside of the outer pane 3 and contaminating it or from this in turn getting onto the floor or furniture and contaminating them and even causing the furniture to swell. Furthermore, any unwanted limescale residues on furniture, the floor or even the outer pane 3 are prevented.

When the door 1 is closed with the condensate contained in the collecting trough 6, the collecting trough 6 at least partially releases the collected condensate to the collecting trough 19 of the cooking appliance 12. Condensate remaining in the collecting channel 6 can evaporate naturally. Likewise, the condensate contained in the collecting channel 19 can also evaporate or be removed in another way, for example by wiping. Emptying the collecting trough 6 also ensures that when the door 1 is opened several times during a cooking process, the collecting trough 6 does not overflow, but rather the condensate can be collected each time it is opened. The collecting trough 19 is designed as a larger reservoir for condensate, so that the entire amount of condensate produced during a cooking process can be safely absorbed by the collecting trough 19.

The collecting trough 6 as well as the collecting trough 19 are located outside the cooking chamber 17.

In the FIGS. 5 and 6 the structure and function of the door 1 or the collecting channel 6 of the door 1 of the cooking appliance 12 are shown again in schematic representations. When opening door 1 according to FIG 5 Condensate running down the inner pane 2 is collected by the collecting channel 6. When closing door 1 or when door 1 is closed, according to FIG 6 the condensate collected by the collecting trough 6 is delivered from the collecting trough 6 to the collecting trough 19 of the cooking appliance 12 and picked up by it.

From the FIGS. 5 and 6 In particular, the spatial and structural arrangement of the collecting channel 6 of the door 1 and the cooking space 17 as well as the body 14 or muffle frame of the cooking appliance 12 can be seen relative to one another.

The glass plates 2, 3 and 4 do not have to be transparent over their entire extent, but can, as in FIG 4 indicated, only have one window 20, which allows a view from the outside into the cooking chamber 17. The remaining glass areas can be coated, in particular to cover the frame components 5.

The plates 2, 3 and 4 do not necessarily have to be made of glass, but can also be made of metal or another temperature-resistant material. However, if the plates 2, 3 and 4 are made of an opaque material, they preferably have a window in the middle, which can be inserted into the plates.

The door does not necessarily have to be pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis, as described above. Rather, there is the possibility of arranging the door on the body 14 of the cooking appliance 12 in such a way that it can be pivoted about a substantially vertical axis in order to allow access to the cooking chamber 17.

The cooking appliance 12 is preferably an oven.
