Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a knob, in particular for an electronic lock cylinder, and an electric lock cylinder with such a knob and a kit with such an electronic lock cylinder and a tool for opening the bayonet lock of the knob.
  • mortise locks are provided according to DIN 18251 for doors with mechanical locking cylinders according to DIN 18252.
  • Such lock cylinders have a cylinder housing and therein a cylinder core, which can be rotated with a matching key in the housing and moves out of the cylinder housing cam (driver) moves to unlock or lock the lock.
  • profile cylinder round cylinder
  • oval cylinder see also DIN EN 1303
  • the lock cylinder is today the heart of the security of lock and door.
  • Electronic lock cylinders are known in the art. Electronic lock cylinders are generally distinguished by the fact that instead of the mechanical coding of the key, an electronic coding, for example in the form of electrical signals, is used. Instead of a mechanical key for this purpose, an "electronic key" is used in the form of a transmitter or transponder, which transmits the electrical signals by means of electromagnetic waves from the transponder to the lock cylinder. The signals are verified by means of electronic device, the electronic device usually in one Knob or in two knobs, which are provided on the lock cylinder or profile cylinder is housed. The knob or the knobs are used in addition to the accommodation of electronic components as a handle for actuating the lock cylinder and its cam.
  • the DE 10 2004 009 992 discloses a rotary knob which can be mounted via a latching connection with the lock, and disassemble by means of a drive magnet.
  • the EP 1 039 072 discloses a furniture lock with a removable knob having a plastic cylinder with an overlying plastic lid. Between the plastic lid and the plastic cylinder sits a bearing sleeve. the bayonet slots for twist lock on the plastic lid has.
  • the DE 1 147 507 relates to a door knob for door locks, the door knob is mounted with its shaft for mounting purposes in the axial direction in a crown-like longitudinal guide of the door panel attachable to the door.
  • Lock cylinders are available as a single knob cylinder (half cylinder) and as a double knob cylinder.
  • the knob depending on the manufacturer and design, rotated by a few degrees, so that the cam does not protrude from the cylinder housing or lock cylinder and the lock cylinder can be inserted into the housing of the castle.
  • the lock cylinder is on the housing of the lock with a relative long screw, the so-called forend screw mounted.
  • the knobs are in some models by means of radially arranged, z.T. slightly modified hexagon socket set screws attached to the axis of the lock cylinder. These can usually be easily removed by a commercially available tool from unauthorized persons.
  • knobs electronics and / or battery (s) should be on the one hand as well as possible protected against unauthorized access. However, these knobs should be easily opened by professionals to replace the batteries.
  • the knobs are made of turned metal, die-cast or plastic. Die-cast knobs usually have relatively thick walls and are therefore very heavy. Although twisted metal knobs can be made with a thinner wall, such knobs are very expensive. Plastic knobs can be made very cheaply, but plastic knobs do not offer the ruggedness of a metal knob. In addition, a metal knob is perceived by the end user as more aesthetic and high quality.
  • the present invention relates to a knob, in particular for an electronic lock cylinder, and an electric lock cylinder and a method for attaching such a knob to an electronic lock cylinder.
  • the present invention further relates to a method for opening and closing a knob according to the invention.

  • the two handle parts for a knob which contains electronic devices and / or battery (s), releasably connected to each other.
  • a biasing means is provided which biases the second handle portion against the first handle portion to prevent a visible gap between them when the two handle portions are in the connected state.
  • This embodiment of a knob is for example advantageous for an inner knob, especially when the entire electronics is housed in the inner knob.
  • the two handle parts are preferably firmly connected to each other when no electronic devices or batteries are present in the knob.
  • the first handle part can be connected inextricably linked by a frictional and / or positive connection with the second handle part. Since at least one of the knobs should be removable in a double knob cylinder, it is advantageous if the removable knob is formed so that the two handle parts are firmly connected. The removable knob can then be removed as a "piece".
  • This embodiment is advantageous for an outside knob, as it preferably has no sensitive electronic components and / or a battery.
  • the above-discussed preferred embodiments for the inner knob and the outer knob are very similar in that they have a same locking mechanism, which is also referred to as a first bayonet closure hereinafter.
