Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner with a housing which surrounds a dust chamber and receives a suction unit and are rotatably mounted on the rollers for moving the vacuum cleaner along a floor surface to be cleaned, and with a suction nozzle arranged on the housing for connecting a suction hose and with a housing surrounding, on the outside over the housing protruding bumper.
- the housing comprises a lower housing part and a housing upper part, wherein the lower housing part is cylindrical with a perpendicular to the bottom surface aligned first cylinder axis, the bumper surrounds the lower part in the circumferential direction, and wherein the Housing upper part a part-cylindrical housing portion with a Having aligned perpendicular to the first cylinder axis second cylinder axis.
- the bumper When vacuum cleaner according to the invention the bumper is held on a lower housing part, which is cylindrical in shape with aligned perpendicular to the bottom surface cylinder axis.
- the bumper protrudes in the radial direction over the housing of the vacuum cleaner, so that when hitting the vacuum cleaner on an obstacle, the obstacle is independent of the orientation of the vacuum cleaner in any case protected from damage.
- the upper housing part of the vacuum cleaner comprises a part-cylindrical housing portion, whose cylinder axis is aligned perpendicular to the cylinder axis of the housing lower part. It thus forms a "lying sub-cylinder", which rests on the "stationary cylinder" of the housing base. It has been found that this can be imparted to the vacuum cleaner a very compact design while maintaining an all-round impact protection, so that the housing has a considerable internal volume for the dust chamber and the suction unit, but that nevertheless the dimensions of the housing can be kept relatively low , Due to the thus ensured compact design of the vacuum cleaner is movable in a simple manner along the floor surface to be cleaned and it requires for its storage only a relatively small storage space.
- the "horizontal arrangement" of the part-cylindrical housing section on the “stationary cylinder” of the lower housing part also gives the vacuum cleaner according to the invention a high stability. If the user pulls the vacuum cleaner on the suction hose behind him, there is no danger that the vacuum cleaner tips. This also improves the mobility of the vacuum cleaner.
- part-cylindrical housing section extends in the circumferential direction with respect to the second cylinder axis over an angular range of at least 180 °.
- the housing portion thus forms at least one half-cylinder.
- the part-cylindrical housing section extends in the circumferential direction with respect to the second cylinder axis over an angular range of more than 180 °, in particular over an angular range of 220 ° to 240 °.
- the partially cylindrical housing section tapers in the direction of the housing lower part, so that a wedge-shaped intermediate space is formed between the housing upper part and the housing lower part in the side view above the protective strip. This gap can be used for example for storing an electrical connection cable.
- the suction nozzle is held on the part-cylindrical housing section.
- the suction nozzle protrudes outward beyond the lateral surface of the partially cylindrical housing section.
- the suction nozzle is formed centrally with respect to the second cylinder axis in the longitudinal direction of the partially cylindrical housing section on its lateral surface.
- a preferably arcuately curved handle is held on the part-cylindrical housing portion.
- the vacuum cleaner can be lifted on the handle.
- the handle defines a median plane of the vacuum cleaner, which is aligned perpendicular to the second cylinder axis and in which the first cylinder axis extends.
- the front side of the partially cylindrical housing section is followed by a respective side section of the housing upper part, wherein the outer wall of the side section is arcuately curved in plan view.
- the side sections are aligned with the second cylinder axis and increase the volume of the housing without the need to increase the diameter of the "standing cylinder" of the housing base.
- a dust compartment lid is held displaceably on a first side section, which covers the dust space.
- the dust chamber cover can be held, for example, removable or pivotable on the first side portion.
- the dust chamber cover is provided in a structurally simple way convenient access to the dust chamber. The latter is acted upon by the suction unit with negative pressure and is connected via a suction line with the suction in flow communication.
- a dust bag can be introduced in the usual way.
- the dust chamber lid is preferably held pivotably about a pivot axis aligned parallel to the bottom surface on the first side portion.
- an accessory compartment lid is displaceably held on a second side portion of the upper housing part, which is an accessory of the vacuum cleaner covering the receiving accessory compartment.
- the accessory compartment for example, several suction nozzles can be deposited, which can be optionally connected to the free end of the suction hose.
- the accessory compartment cover is held detachably or pivotably on the second side section.
- a filter compartment cover is held displaceably, which covers a filter compartment accommodating an exhaust air filter.
- the exhaust air of the suction unit can be cleaned by means of the exhaust filter, preferably by means of a HEPA filter, before it emerges from the housing of the vacuum cleaner.
- the exhaust filter is located in the filter compartment and accessible via the filter compartment cover for the user in a simple manner for replacement.
- the suction unit has a suction turbine whose axis of rotation aligned parallel to the second cylinder axis.
- the handling of the vacuum cleaner is simplified in a particularly preferred embodiment in that the vacuum cleaner is a cable drum for winding up a connecting cable. It is advantageous if the axis of rotation of the cable drum is aligned parallel to the second cylinder axis. This allows the use of a cable drum with a relatively large diameter, while still ensuring the compact design of the vacuum cleaner.
- the shock bar forms a shock ring, which is freely rotatable about a colinearly aligned to the first cylinder axis axis of rotation.
- the rotatable support of the shock ring on the housing makes it possible to roll it off when hitting an obstacle on the obstacle, so that there is no risk that the obstacle will be damaged.
- the housing movable relative to the bumper ring can maintain its orientation. This has the advantage that the vacuum cleaner pulled by the user behind the suction hose can travel along the obstacle. The mobility of the vacuum cleaner is thereby improved.
- the thrust ring may for example comprise an annular support member on the outside of a bumper made of a rubber-elastic material is held.
- the support member may be made of a rigid material, in particular of a rigid plastic material, and give the bump ring the required mechanical strength. The use of the rubber-elastic shock strip prevents the same when hitting the vacuum cleaner on an obstacle damage.
- the lower housing part comprises a bottom part and a support part, wherein the bottom part are held up and the upper housing part is seated on the support member and wherein the shock ring between the bottom part and the Support member is freely rotatably mounted.
- the bottom part preferably has a trough-shaped outer contour and comprises a parallel to the bottom surface aligned bottom wall on which the rollers are rotatably mounted. It can be provided that the rollers are each mounted on a pivot member which is held about a pivot axis aligned perpendicular to the bottom surface pivotably on the bottom part.
- the bottom part and / or the support member is arcuately curved in the transition region to the thrust ring.
- the bottom part and the supporting part are convexly curved in their region adjacent to the impact ring.
- FIG. 1A . 1B and 1C the basic structure of a vacuum cleaner 10 according to the invention is shown with a housing 12 which comprises a housing lower part 14 and a housing upper part 16.
- the vacuum cleaner 10 is movable along a bottom surface 18.
- a plurality of rollers 20 are rotatably mounted on the underside of the lower housing part 14.
- the lower housing part 14 is cylindrical in shape and has a first cylinder axis 22 aligned perpendicular to the bottom surface 18.
- a bumper in the form of a shock ring 24 is freely rotatably mounted, wherein the axis of rotation of the thrust ring 24 is aligned colinearly to the first cylinder axis 22.
- the impact ring 24 completely surrounds the housing lower part 14 in the circumferential direction and projects radially beyond the housing lower part 14 and the housing upper part 16.
- the housing upper part 16 has a part-cylindrical housing portion 26 with perpendicular to the cylinder axis 22 and thus parallel to the bottom surface 18 aligned second cylinder axis 28. Relative to the second cylinder axis 28 extends the partially cylindrical housing portion 26 in the circumferential direction over an angular range of more than 180 °, in the illustrated embodiment over an angular range of about 230 °.
- Figure 1A The front side, that is aligned with the second cylinder axis 28, close to the part-cylindrical housing portion 26, a first side portion 31 and a second side portion 32, the outer wall 34 and 35 is convexly curved in plan view. This is going out Figure 1C clear.
- the side portions 31 and 32 taper in the housing lower part 14 facing away from the top. This is especially true FIG. 1B clear.
- the housing 12 surrounds a dust chamber 39, which extends over the entire height of the housing 12. Laterally next to the dust chamber 39 is a suction unit 41 arranged with a suction turbine 42 which is rotated by an electric motor 43 in rotation. The suction unit 41 is aligned within the housing 12 such that the axis of rotation 45 of the suction turbine 42 extends parallel to the second cylinder axis 28.
- a cable drum 46 is rotatably mounted within the housing 12 for automatically winding an electrical connection cable 48, by means of which the electric motor 43 is connectable to an external voltage source.
- the axis of rotation 50 of the cable drum. 47 is also aligned parallel to the second cylinder axis 28.
- the suction unit 41 By means of the suction unit 41, the dust chamber 39, in which a dust bag can be used, are subjected to negative pressure.
- the sucked air is discharged from the suction unit via exhaust ports, not shown in the drawing.
- the exhaust air On its flow path from the suction unit 41 to the exhaust air openings, the exhaust air flows through an exhaust filter 52 which is disposed within the second side portion 32 in a filter compartment of the housing 12.
- the upper housing part 16 Above the exhaust filter 52, the upper housing part 16 forms an accessory compartment 54, in which a plurality of suction nozzles can be stored, which can be optionally connected to the free end of a suction hose, not shown in the drawing, known per se.
