Definitions

  • the invention relates to a floor cleaning device, comprising a dirt receiving device for receiving a dirty liquid from a floor surface to be cleaned and a dirty liquid tank, in which the dirty liquid can be transferred.
  • Such a floor cleaning appliance designed, for example, as a scrubber-drier, usually comprises, in addition to the features mentioned above, a drivable cleaning tool for removing dirt from the floor surface to be cleaned, for example a brush roller or a disc brush.
  • the floor cleaning appliance typically includes a storage tank for cleaning liquid applied to the floor surface, e.g. Water to which a cleaning chemical may be added to increase the cleaning effect.
  • the mixture of cleaning liquid and detached dirt, the dirty liquid can be picked up by the dirt pick-up device from the bottom surface and transferred to the dirty liquid tank, e.g. under the action of a suction unit of the floor cleaning device. After work, the dirty liquid can be drained through an outlet from the dirty liquid tank. It may happen that dirt remains in the dirty liquid tank.
  • the US 4,393,538 describes a generic floor cleaning device having nozzles in the dirty liquid, with which a fine mist can be generated.
  • the mist is discharged towards a foam filter or interior of the dirty fluid tank to minimize foaming in the dirty tank.
  • Another floor cleaning device is in the EP 0 726 057 A2 described.
