Definitions
- the invention relates to a cross-country or touring ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
- ski bindings are well known. Only example is in this respect on the DE 37 31 616 A1 . EP 0 257 282 A2 , or US 3,907,319 directed.
- the present invention has for its object to change the known binding while maintaining their reliability and functionality so that a mounting or dismounting of closing and / or actuating element from above when mounted on the ski binding is possible. At the same time, the cost of injection molds should be reduced. The new bond should thus be as compared to the prior art simplified construction, without the advantage of the known bindings is lost.
- an essential point of the present invention consists in the fact that the binding housing consists of a base part with a receptacle for the closing and actuating element on the one hand and a cover part on the other hand, with open or removed cover part, the closing element and associated actuator within the receptacle in the base part for mounting or disassembly are accessible. Accordingly, closure member and actuator can be assembled or disassembled without the need to remove the binding housing from the ski. The assembly or disassembly can thus be done from above after opening or removal of the lid part. By these measures, the bond loses no function or reliability. The advantage of the known bond is retained. The assembly or disassembly is considerably simplified. It is also readily available from the user, i.
- the injection molds for the housing can also be simplified, since experience has shown that a two-part housing requires less complicated injection molds like a corresponding one-part housing with a large number of undercuts.
- the simple assembly or disassembly applies according to the invention in particular with respect to the actuating part, which is preferably designed as an actuating lever and has two lateral pivot pins which correspond with upwardly open storage pockets in the base part such that the actuating element is pivotally mounted in the bearing pockets.
- the actuating part which is preferably designed as an actuating lever and has two lateral pivot pins which correspond with upwardly open storage pockets in the base part such that the actuating element is pivotally mounted in the bearing pockets.
- This is a construction in which a separate pivot axis is dispensable.
- the actuator can be very easily mounted from above and disassemble.
- lid part it only needs the lid part to be opened or removed for this purpose; because preferably the cover part is placed on the base so and locked with this, that not only the recess in the base part is covered, but that the pivot bearing pins of the actuating element are held down in the associated bearing pockets to form a closed pivot bearing.
- the closing element against the action of a resilient bias, in particular a spring element, from the closed can be brought into the release position.
- a resilient bias in particular a spring element
- the closing element preferably comprises a flat element which is displaceable back and forth in the base part, one of which, namely the rear end, being deformed behind a cross-shaped hook axis in the closed position, and the other, namely the front end, being pivotable in the base part mounted actuator is connected such that the pivoting movement of the actuating element can be converted into a translational reciprocating movement of the closing element.
- the lid part In order to open the lid part without tools and remove if necessary, this is made of a much softer plastic than the base part. Accordingly, the lid part can also be made of a less expensive plastic, which in total the manufacturing cost can be reduced again. It should be remembered that ski bindings of this type are products made in large quantities.
- a particular embodiment is characterized by the fact that adjoins the rear end of the lid part, an elastic return element or flexor, which supports a provision between ski and shoe with raised heel.
- This flexor can either be anchored in the base part.
- the flexor is integrally connected to the lid part.
- the cover part may be made of a correspondingly soft rubber-elastic material.
- the lid part must only be designed so stiff that it is securely latched in the base part. It is also possible to design the hardness of the cover part and flexor according to the requirements, ie to produce the section which defines the cover part of harder plastic than the section which defines the flexor.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 illustrated illustration of a cross-country or touring ski binding 10 is in a conventional manner to the ski deck of a ski body (in the Fig. 1 to 3 merely indicated), for example, by screwing (fixing screw 11) attached.
- engaging elements of the binding 10 are provided within a plastic or the like.
- the sole-integrated engagement elements comprise in a manner known per se a joint axis extending transversely to the ski longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread.
- the hinge axis extends within a groove-like recess on the underside of the front sole end, and usually at a distance from the bottom of the groove-like recess and at a distance from the front Sole end or a front support surface at the front sole end.
- At the bottom formed on the underside of the sole end of the outsole of the ski boot usually follow guide grooves directly.
- the binding-side engagement elements which is referred to below as the closing element 13, comprise a flat element 14, which is displaceable back and forth in the binding housing, one of which, namely the rear end, either engages behind the sole integrated joint axis in the closed position (see FIG FIGS. 5 and 6 ) or overarching (see FIGS. 1 to 3 ) hook-like bracket 15 is deformed, and the other, namely the front end with a pivotally mounted in the binding housing 12 actuating element, namely actuating lever 16 is connected such that the pivoting movement (see double arrow 17 in Fig. 6 ) of the operating lever 16 in a translational reciprocating motion (see double arrow 18 in Fig. 6 ) of the closing element 13 can be implemented.
- the already mentioned binding housing 12 is modular and consists of a fixedly mounted on the ski base base 19 with a receiving space 20 for the closing element 13 and the operating lever 16 on the one hand and a cover part 21 (see also Fig. 4 ) On the other hand, with open or removed ( Fig. 2 ) Cover part, the closing element 13 and associated actuating lever 16 within the receiving space 20 in the base part 19 for mounting or dismounting from above are accessible, as is Fig. 2 very good.
- the closing element 13 already described above is in the in the FIGS. 1 to 3 illustrated embodiment against the action of a resilient bias, namely a compression spring 22 (see Fig. 2 ) Can be brought from the closed to the release position.
- a resilient bias namely a compression spring 22 (see Fig. 2 )
- the closed position of the binding is defined by the fact that in this position the shoe is hinged to the binding, while the release position means the shoe release position.
- the closing element 13 is connected to the actuating lever 16 via a swivel arm integrally formed on the latter or is articulated to the actuating lever via this swivel arm.
- this pivotally connected to the operating lever pivot arm is indicated by a dashed line connecting between the pivot bearing of the actuating lever 16 in the binding housing on the one hand and the articulated connection between the actuating lever 16 and closing element 13 on the other hand and indicated by the reference numeral 23.
- the closing element 13, specifically the flat element 14, is within the receiving space 20 of the base part 19 by a transverse web 24 (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 6 ), so that it is between the bottom of the base member 19 and the crossbar 24 back and herverschietik (arrow 18) is mounted.
- the crossbar is accessible through from above accessible screws 25 (see Fig. 1 ) fastened to the base part 19. Accordingly, therefore, all movable components of the binding, namely closing element 13, compression spring 20, lever 16 and cross bar 24 with removed cover part 21 from above within the receiving space 20 of the base member 19 of the binding housing 12 mount or dismount without the base member 19 from the ski must be removed. An access from the bottom of the base part 19 for the assembly or disassembly of the aforementioned parts is not required. Accordingly easy is also the replacement of defective parts. Such can also be carried out by the user himself in a simple manner. He only needs to order the defective part either in the shop or on the Internet and then exchange.
- the actuating lever also has two lateral pivot pins 26 which correspond with upwardly open, approximately U-shaped bearing pockets 27 in the base part 19 such that the actuating lever 16 is pivotally mounted in the bearing pockets 27 (see in particular Fig. 2 and Fig. 6 ).
- the base part 19 consists of a harder and high-quality, in particular very weather-resistant plastic.
- the lid member 21 may be made of something softer and less high quality plastic, so that it can be unlatched by simple deformation of the base member 19 and thus removable. Separate screw means for fixing the lid part on the base part are then not required.
- an elastic return element or flexor 28 which supports a provision between ski and shoe with raised heel.
- the flexor is anchored in the base part.
- An anchoring on the cover part 21 is basically also conceivable.
- the cover part 21 is made entirely of relatively soft plastic material, wherein the hardness of this plastic material is set differently. In the area of the flexor 28, the material is set relatively soft, while the rest of the lid area this is a little harder, but still so soft that the cover part 21 can be unlatched without tools by mere deformation of the base and unlocked with the base member 19.
- cover part 21 can be placed on the base part 19 and locked with this, in particular under cover of the receiving space 20 in the base part and holding down the pivot bearing pin 26 of the actuating lever 16 in the associated storage pockets 27, for example, on the Top of two in the assembled state of the cover part 21 hidden side cheeks 39 of the base part 19 are milled ( Fig. 2 ).
- the base part still in a conventional manner on a U-shaped receptacle 29 for the articulated connection of the ski boot or the sole integrated joint axis of the same.
- the hinge axis is introduced at the bottom of the sole in this receptacle 29, in the embodiment of the FIGS. 1 to 3 with the simultaneous displacement of the hook-like bracket 15 of the closing element 13 forward against the action of the compression spring 22. If the sole integrated longitudinal axis reaches the bottom of the U-shaped receptacle 29, the closing element snaps backwards, so that the hook-like bracket 15 of the closing element 13, the sole integrated hinge axis engages to form the above-mentioned articulated connection of the shoe on the binding housing.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 it is not a "step-in” mechanism of the type described above.
- the opening and closing of the binding takes place exclusively by means of the actuating lever 16.
- this embodiment can be converted in a simple manner as a "step-in” construction become. It must only be taken measures that have an automatic movement of the closing element 13 to the rear against the action of an elastic element result in the entry into the binding such that after the entry of the closing element 13 then automatically moves forward to the closed position, in which the hook-like bracket 15 engages behind the sole integrated joint axis.
- the base part must be relatively stiff and solid; Accordingly, the base consists of a relatively hard and durable plastic.
- the base part is designed to absorb all forces.
- the cover part 21 has no supporting functions except, if appropriate, the holding down of the pivot pins 26 of the actuating lever 16. For this reason, the cover part 21 can be made of a softer material, which as a rule also cheaper.
- the lid part in plan view is approximately U-shaped and angled in side view (see Figures 2 and 4 ).
- the two legs can still be connected and stabilized by a cross bar.
- This crossbar is in Fig. 1 and 4 designated by the reference numeral 32.
- locking lugs 40 are provided or formed, which cooperate with corresponding recesses in the base part 19 latching.
- the lid part 21 is formed like a hood. Also in this embodiment, the cover part 21 at the front end a latching lug 34 which is latched within a latching recess 35 at the front end of the base part 19. Also at the rear end of the cover part 21, a latching with locking lug and recess is provided. This locking is in Fig. 6 indicated by the reference numeral 36. As already mentioned, the latching or unlatching of the cover part 21 takes place by deformation of the hood-shaped cover part 21, in particular in such a way that first the rear catch 36 releases. Also is in the embodiment after Fig. 7 still a lateral locking of the cover part 21 with locking lugs 37 and complementary recesses 38 conceivable, as in Fig. 7 is indicated. This latching can be fixed or released by deformation of the cover housing 21.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cross-country or touring ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
All these known bindings have in common that the assembly of the actuating element is relatively expensive, even if the lid part is opened or removed.
The present invention has for its object to change the known binding while maintaining their reliability and functionality so that a mounting or dismounting of closing and / or actuating element from above when mounted on the ski binding is possible. At the same time, the cost of injection molds should be reduced. The new bond should thus be as compared to the prior art simplified construction, without the advantage of the known bindings is lost.
This object is achieved by the characterizing measures of claim 1, wherein advantageous developments and details are described in the dependent claims.
An essential point of the present invention consists in the fact that the binding housing consists of a base part with a receptacle for the closing and actuating element on the one hand and a cover part on the other hand, with open or removed cover part, the closing element and associated actuator within the receptacle in the base part for mounting or disassembly are accessible. It is also readily available from the user, i. not only by the professional feasible. The injection molds for the housing can also be simplified, since experience has shown that a two-part housing requires less complicated injection molds like a corresponding one-part housing with a large number of undercuts. The simple assembly or disassembly applies according to the invention in particular with respect to the actuating part, which is preferably designed as an actuating lever and has two lateral pivot pins which correspond with upwardly open storage pockets in the base part such that the actuating element is pivotally mounted in the bearing pockets. This is a construction in which a separate pivot axis is dispensable. In addition, in this construction, the actuator can be very easily mounted from above and disassemble. It only needs the lid part to be opened or removed for this purpose; because preferably the cover part is placed on the base so and locked with this, that not only the recess in the base part is covered, but that the pivot bearing pins of the actuating element are held down in the associated bearing pockets to form a closed pivot bearing.
Also in the measures according to claims 5 and 6 are structural details that are new compared to the prior art. Above all, the mounting of the crosspiece for holding down the closing element within the housing from above is novel and corresponds to the overall concept of the binding according to the invention, according to which it can be completed from above after mounting the base part on the ski deck.
In order to open the lid part without tools and remove if necessary, this is made of a much softer plastic than the base part. Accordingly, the lid part can also be made of a less expensive plastic, which in total the manufacturing cost can be reduced again. It should be remembered that ski bindings of this type are products made in large quantities.
A particular embodiment is characterized by the fact that adjoins the rear end of the lid part, an elastic return element or flexor, which supports a provision between ski and shoe with raised heel. This flexor can either be anchored in the base part. Preferably, however, the flexor is integrally connected to the lid part. Accordingly, the cover part may be made of a correspondingly soft rubber-elastic material. The lid part must only be designed so stiff that it is securely latched in the base part. It is also possible to design the hardness of the cover part and flexor according to the requirements, ie to produce the section which defines the cover part of harder plastic than the section which defines the flexor.
