Definitions

  • the invention relates to a router having a milling table to be placed on a workpiece and a milling unit arranged above the milling table with a drive device having an output shaft with which a milling tool directed in the axial direction downwards in the connected state can be connected, wherein the milling unit in the axial direction slidably connected to the milling table and the milling table a passage recess for the passage of the milling tool is arranged, into which a suction opening.
  • At one of the DE 33 03 734 C2 known router is at the milling table an upstanding, by the milling tool Maschinengriffenes protective housing available, which has a lateral suction, which is adjacent to a suction nozzle for connecting a suction, so that the chips produced during milling chips can be sucked.
  • the protective housing is open at the top and ends with a relatively large distance to the milling unit. Furthermore, it has even more lateral openings, so that despite the chip suction a relatively large amount of chips escape into the environment and can pollute them.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a router of the type mentioned, which allows the most complete chip evacuation.
  • the suction chamber is also closed towards the bottom.
  • the end face of the milling unit which is penetrated by the output shaft and extends in the radial direction as far as the covering sleeve, forms an upper end of the suction space, so that during milling, when the covering sleeve is in its active position, practically no chips can escape to the outside, so that the by the suction opening taking place chip removal is complete accordingly.
  • the cover sleeve is expediently displaceably mounted on a neck portion of the milling unit coaxial with the output shaft. It can be provided that the cover in their inactive position does not protrude downwards in front of the neck.
  • Another expedient measure is that the covering sleeve is loaded in the direction of its effective position by spring force.
  • the inoperative position of the cover sleeve may be associated with a holding device which is adjustable between a holding the holding sleeve holding position and a cover sleeve for movement in the effective position releasing release position.
  • the cover is expediently made of transparent plastic material, so that the workpiece can be viewed during milling.
  • a further expedient measure is that the through-passage is defined by an annular wall part projecting upwards beyond the other router table. This ring wall part can be removably attached to the milling table, so that it can be removed or replaced.
  • the resulting from the drawing router 1 has on its underside a router table 2, with which the router 1 is placed on a workpiece to be milled.
  • the underside 3 of the milling table 2 is flat, so that the router 1 can be moved on the workpiece.
  • the router 1 further includes a milling unit 4 arranged above the router table 2 with a drive device 5 accommodated in an engine head and containing a drive motor 6. A the drive device 5 covering housing part is missing in the drawing.
  • the drive motor 6 drives an output shaft 7 directed towards the milling table 2, at the lower end of which a tool holder 8 for interchangeable fastening of a milling tool (not shown) performing the workpiece machining is arranged. In this way, a rotationally fixed connection of the milling tool results with the output shaft 7.
  • the milling tool is directed in the axial direction downwards.
  • the milling unit 4 is in the axial direction, i. Towards the milling table 2 out and away, slidably connected to the router table 2. For this purpose, the milling unit 4 is displaceably guided on columns 9, 10 upstanding from the milling table 2, so that the milling unit 4 can be moved towards the milling table 2 and away from it.
  • the guide columns 9, 10 each pass through a guide recess arranged on the milling unit 4, which in the exemplary embodiment is formed by a guide sleeve 11, 12 attached laterally to the milling unit 4.
  • the milling unit 4 is acted upon by a spring device, not shown, in the direction of the milling table 2 away.
  • the milling unit 4 further comprises lateral handle 13, 14, on which the user can grasp the milling unit 4.
  • the router 1 For milling a workpiece, the router 1 is placed with its milling table 2 on the relevant workpiece, wherein the milling unit 4 is still so far above the router table 2 that between the milling tool and the workpiece is still a distance. Then you moved the milling unit 4 against the spring force acting on it down and thus the milling tool against the workpiece so that it is processed accordingly. If you want to attach not only a hole in the workpiece but a running in the workpiece surface groove or the like, you move the router 1 on the workpiece.
  • a through-passage 15 passing through in the axial direction is arranged for the passage of the milling tool to the workpiece.
  • the chips produced during milling can be sucked off.
  • a laterally arranged suction opening 16 which is connected to a suction connection 17 for connecting a suction hose, which is connected to a suction device, so that the chips formed during milling discharges into the passage opening 15 of the milling table 2.
  • the suction nozzle 17 extends parallel to the axial direction upwards. However, he could also be differently trained and aligned.
  • the chips are detected as completely as possible, on the milling table 2 facing lower portion of the milling unit 4 is guided to the output shaft 7 coaxial cover sleeve 18 slidably in the axial direction.
  • the cover sleeve 18 can thus in a downwardly before the milling unit 4 projecting effective position ( Figures 3 and 4 ), in which, together with the wall 19 of the passage recess 15 of the milling table 2, it surrounds a suction space 20, which is essentially closed towards the outside.
  • the resulting chips during milling thus remain trapped in the suction chamber 20, so that they do not get into the environment but are sucked through the suction opening 16 therethrough.
  • the suction chamber 20 is closed at the top by the end face 21 of the milling unit 4, which is penetrated by the output shaft 7 and extends radially outward to the cover sleeve 18.
  • the tool holder 8 In her pushed up ineffective position ( FIGS. 1 and 2 ), the tool holder 8 is accessible for insertion or removal of a milling tool.
  • the cover sleeve 18 may consist of transparent plastic material, so that the user can look through the cover sleeve 18 through to the workpiece.
  • the cover sleeve 18 is in its operative position, the router table 2 and the cover sleeve 18 are in overlapping engagement with each other. In principle, it would also be possible to push the cover sleeve against the milling table on the face side. In the illustrated embodiment, it is provided that the cover sleeve 18 engages in the passage recess 15. It is understood that the cover sleeve 18 and the wall 19 of the passage 15 are adapted to each other in diameter so that there is no significant gap between them, could pass through the chips to the outside.
  • the through-passage 15 is defined by an annular wall part 22 protruding upward beyond the other router table 2. Since the annular wall portion 22 protrudes upward, the cover sleeve 18 can be formed correspondingly shorter. It can also be seen that in this case, the cover sleeve 18 in a modification of the illustrated embodiment could also overlap the upstanding annular wall portion 22.
  • the annular wall part 22 is a separate component which is either permanently fixed or expediently removably connected to the other milling table. In the latter case, the annular wall part 22 may optionally be replaced by another accessory.
  • the milling unit 4 has on its underside a penetrated by the output shaft 7 neck portion 23 on which the cover sleeve 18 is slidably mounted.
  • the neck portion 23 has a cylindrical outer periphery.
  • the cover sleeve 18 is correspondingly cylindrical.
  • the wall 19 of the passage recess 15 also has a corresponding cylindrical shape.
  • the cover sleeve 18 is loaded in the direction of its effective position by spring force.
  • the cover sleeve 18 is held in its operative position by the spring force against an arranged on the milling unit 4 stop means, so that the effective position is defined.
  • This stop means for example, in the region of the end face 21 on the circumference of the neck portion 23 projecting retaining projections 24 which run in groove-like recesses 25 on the inside of the cover sleeve 18 which terminate before the upper end of the cover 18, so that the retaining projections 24 in the effective Position the cover sleeve 18 at the ends of the recesses 25 strike.
  • the holding projections 24 together with the groove-like depressions 25 also provide a rotationally fixed guidance of the cover sleeve 18 in the axial direction.
  • the spring force acting on the covering sleeve 18 is applied in the exemplary embodiment by helical springs 26 distributed over the circumference, which are aligned parallel to the axial direction and are supported at one end on the milling unit 4 and at the other end on the covering sleeve 18.
  • the arrangement may be made such that the neck portion 23 of the milling unit 4 parallel to the axial direction extending grooves 27 - it could also be completely closed holes be - has, in each of which one of the coil springs 26 extends.
  • the coil springs 26 are supported at one end at the ends of the grooves 27 and at the other end respectively on a support body 28, which is arranged on the inside of the cover sleeve 18. In this way, the coil springs do not protrude from the circumference of the neck portion 23, so that they do not hinder the displaceable mounting of the cover sleeve 18.
  • the support members 28 may each be formed by a molded onto the cover sleeve 18 plug-in pin 29 which is inserted into the facing end of the respective coil spring 26 (see FIG. 5 ).
  • the inoperative position of the cover sleeve 18 is associated with a holding device 30 which is adjustable between a holding the sleeve 18 in its inoperative position holding position and the cover sleeve 18 for movement in the operative position releasing release position.
  • the holding device 30 is formed by a latching device 31 latching automatically when transferring the cover sleeve 18 into the inoperative position and releasing it by hand.
  • Such a latching device 31 can, as shown, a projecting from the cover sleeve 18 locking projection 32 and a pivotally mounted on the milling unit 4, loaded by spring force locking lever 33 included.
  • the locking lever 33 is a two-armed lever in the embodiment and forms on the one hand its pivot axis 34 operable by a user operating arm 35 and the pivot axis 34 on the other hand, a latching projection 32 associated latching arm 36.
  • the locking lever 33 is spring loaded, for example by a coil spring 37, so that he his holding position is pressed down.
  • FIG. 4 is the cover sleeve 18 in its operative position. If it is pushed upwards to its inoperative position, the latching projection 32 reaches the latching arm 36 of the latching lever 33. Then the latching arm 36 slides on an inclined surface 38 of the latching projection 32. Here, the locking lever 33 deviates according to the course of the inclined surface 38 against the spring force (in FIG. 5 to the right). If you have moved the cover sleeve 18 completely upwards to its inoperative position, the locking lever 33 snaps back under the spring force and engages under the latching projection 32, so that the cover sleeve 18 is held.
  • the user actuates the locking lever 33, so that the locking arm 36 is removed from the locking projection 32 and the cover sleeve 18 is released.
  • the pivot axis 34 by which the latching lever 33 is pivotable, extends parallel to the axial direction.
