  • DE 100 03 025 C1 is a funnel structure with two movable transversely to the web formers known.
  • the DE 32 37 504 C2 shows two formers with an additional third former, at least one slitter and two turning bars.
  • DE 101 63 209 B4 is an arrangement with two juxtaposed formers and in each case a staggered thereto in the vertical direction thankfalztrichter, wherein the funnel structure is arranged following at least one printing unit of a printing press and productions for a certain number of stationary newspaper pages and horizontal newspaper pages in tabloid format allows.
  • the WO 2005 / 105447A1 discloses a hopper assembly with a group of three in the same hopper level arranged formers of a certain width.
  • this group of three funnels is laterally associated with an additional former of greater width.
  • this group of three funnels on a different plane is a group of two additional larger width bins assigned.
  • the nachverö Gette with respect to the claimed priority WO 2006/108779 A2 discloses a funnel construction with a group of adjacent formers and an auxiliary funnel which has longer funnel edges as compared to the funnels of the funnel group.
  • a funnel structure is disclosed, wherein a former additionally a funnel segment with only one, compared to the former shorter funnel edge, z. B. a deflection, is juxtaposed.
  • a funnel plane of a rotary printing machine wherein two adjacent adjacent funnels simultaneously different width partial webs are each guided off-center, so that after combining the two strands a four-ply folded product with four different side widths.
  • the two formers are each shown with two different funnel edges.
  • the JP 57-38265A discloses a funnel structure of a rotary printing press, wherein two funnel planes are provided. An upper of the levels has two formers, which are each shown with two differently long funnel edges. Two half-width partial webs are to be guided through the two funnel levels in an operating situation, and four quarter-width partial webs are to be guided over the funnels in another operating situation.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a web-fed rotary printing press and a method for producing a printed product.
  • At least one asymmetrically designed "straight ahead funnel” it is possible without much additional effort, alternatively instead of - for example, standard newspaper printing of z. B. four juxtaposed print pages in straight ahead, a product or partial product with a larger print page width - z. B. lying tabloid pages or wider newspaper pages - produce.
  • at least one unbalanced folding former is designed to be movable transversely to the direction of web travel, lateral displacement can be dispensed with for at least one of the partial webs of the wider product.
  • the expense of the standard formers i. be kept low for the arranged in the machine infeed the hopper by laterally to escape the standard formers a former with at least one compared to the standard formers larger effective funnel edge, in particular a "half former" with only one provided for deflection and compared to the standard formers with a larger effective funnel edge, is coordinated.
  • the in Fig. 1 funnel structure 01 shown has at least one funnel plane with two juxtaposed, in particular fixed-format, formers A, B; C, D on. These are either in pairs or individually laterally movable so that by applying a fifth-wide partial strand (see Fig. 4 ) also five-sided webs with one or both of the fixed formers A; B; C; D can be processed. This is especially true for products that require variable web widths.
  • the hopper assembly 01 is associated with at least one folder F1 or folding unit 01, which may be formed for example as a double folder with two folding cassettes F1A and F1 B.
  • the formers A; B; C; D z. B. in each case an effective width b in their casserole area for the incoming web, which is half of an effective width b02 of a funnel structure 01 upstream printing cylinder 02, z. B. a forming and / or a transfer cylinder 02, corresponds ( Fig. 2 ).
  • the formers A; B; C; D z. B. each have an effective width in their ramp area for the incoming web, the two standing pages of a standard product in the stationary newspaper format, z. B. two newspaper pages in broadsheet format (see, eg. Fig. 3 ).
  • the effective width of the former A; B; C; D corresponds z. B. two juxtaposed printing forms in newspaper format, especially in broadsheet format.
  • the effective width b02 of the forme cylinder 02 can be greater than four juxtaposed printing forms in the newspaper format.
  • the printed pages in the newspaper format, in particular the standard format, here have, for example, a width of 12.5 inches.
  • the printing cylinder 02 (in particular all printing cylinder of a printing unit or a printing unit 03) has a greater effective width b02 than four newspaper pages above, in particular an effective width b02 of five newspaper pages on.
  • the printed with four sides or four newspaper pages wide web B1 passes through the printing unit 03 in a plane of symmetry S center, is longitudinally cut by a longitudinal cutting device with at least one - in particular transversely movable - knife M1 in the middle before the resulting part webs the formers A; B; C; D be supplied.
  • the formers A; B; C; D are in a symmetrical to the symmetry plane S position, z. B. basic position.
  • the width b1 of the web B1 is z. B. 50 inches.
  • Fig. 3 represented production thus provides z. B.
  • the section through the longitudinal cutting device can also immediately before running onto the former A; B; C; D, for example, take place on a hopper inlet roller, not shown.
  • a web B2 passes through a larger width b2, z. B. 62.5 inch, the printing unit 03, in which it z. B. is printed side by side with five printed pages. This results in a maximum increase of the possible number of pages in newspaper production to 125% in comparison to a maximum page number producible with a four-page wide rotation.
  • the web B2 is then passed through at least two knives M1; M2 (or a longitudinal cutting device with at least two knives M1, M2) cut into three partial webs, wherein two partial webs are each two newspaper pages wide, and a partial web a newspaper page wide.
  • the three partial webs are separated by the two blades M1; M2 in the web before a turning bar assembly W cut longitudinally.
  • the two funnels A; B; C; D are placed in an eccentric position in which they are offset by an offset V, z. B. by a half newspaper page width, are moved across the above-mentioned basic position transversely to the incoming web B01.
  • the only one Newspaper side wide partial web is turned over a turning bar pair of a turning bar assembly W on the flight of one of the other two partial webs and with this together the corresponding former A; B; C; D supplied.
  • the funnels A; B; C; D of the two funnel groups are moved independently of each other laterally, so that printed a subset of the webs to be printed with five pages in width and on accordingly shifted from the basic position funnel A; B; C; D a hopper level can be performed and printed the remaining webs with four sides in the width and located in the base position funnel A; B; C; D the other funnel level can be performed.
  • This can result in a cost savings when the four-sided wide webs are printed by means of easily exchangeable individual plates.
  • z. B. is a newspaper production with a five-page wide web B1, which is printed with five newspaper pages side by side (eg., Each 12.5 inches wide) (short: 5/5) is, A 1/5 partial web is turned while the other two partial webs in the straight-line run the respective - correspondingly positioned - former A; B; C; D is supplied.
  • Fig. 5 shows an embodiment, wherein a web B3, possibly with one of the aforementioned widths b1; b2 different width b3, with printed pages in tabloid format, that is printed with horizontal printed pages.
  • a 51-inch wide web B3 with three side-by-side tabloid sides with sides of z. B. 17 inches printed.
  • the funnel construction 01 after Fig. 5 points next to the other two funnels A; B; C; D another folder E (additional funnel E) on which z. B. is wider than the former. It has, for example, a width b ', which corresponds to two printed pages in tabloid format, for. B. a width b 'of 34 inches.
  • web B3 is cut into a two-thirds and one-thirds wide web. These Now be offset laterally by two turning bar pairs of a turning bar assembly W and guided on the additional funnel E. However, it is also possible to use two knives M1; M2 z. Example, a longitudinal cutting device three third part widths webs be generated, which are then fed to the additional hopper E three turning bar pairs of a turning bar assembly W then.
  • the additional funnel E for example, has a greater effective width b 'than the other formers A; B; C; D.
  • Fig. 6 shows an example of a printing press with four reelstands R01 to R04, three (eg at least on both sides four pressure points having) printing towers, the hopper assembly 01 and the folder F1.
  • the superstructure has z. B. two turning towers, each with at least two turning bar pairs of a turning bar assembly W, advantageously three turning bar pairs, on.
  • On at least one of the printing towers D01 to D03 can be arranged an additional printing unit with an additional pressure point per web page.
  • the three towers D01 to D03 are shown in the illustration of Fig. 6 go through four lanes.
  • the under press arranged table of the Fig. 6 are presented alternative production possibilities, wherein the second and fourth line products corresponding to a train B1 according to Fig.
  • Fig. 7 to 10 Superstructures or hopper assemblies for the variable product design with a standard designed for four pages of a first format in the web width printing machine (with correspondingly wide printing unit or forme cylinder 02) for the printing of three compared to the standard print page wider print pages of a different format from the first format
  • the printed pages can in the latter case z. B. less than one-third of a maximum in the printing unit printable width (b02) or equal to one third of this width (b02). However, it is larger than a quarter of the standard width for printing four standard pages of the first size side by side.
  • the printing press can now be operated side by side in an operating situation with four printed pages of the first format side by side or with three printed pages of the second format side by side.
  • a page layout on a web B2 for the standard case of four printed pages (strand Sa, Sb, Sc, Sd), and directly below a web B3 for three broader pages (strand S1 to S3) is shown.
  • Downstream follows a funnel structure 01 with at least two adjacent funnels A; B.
  • the two adjacent funnels A; B in Fig. 7 in each case an effective width b in the run-up area for the web, which corresponds in each case to half of the maximum web B2 to be printed, that is to say two page widths in the standard format when printing on four sides.
  • An effective width (b / 2) of a funnel edge of this two-flank funnel A; B thus corresponds to a page width in standard format - in the example substantially one quarter of the effective width b02 of the forme cylinder 02 or the maximum width of the web to be printed.
  • the two funnels A; B is a wider addition judge (E), or as shown a "half funnel" F associated with only one funnel edge f.
  • E a wider addition judge
  • a "half funnel" F associated with only one funnel edge f.
  • the effective width bf of this flank f, short flank width (ie projection of the effective width on the width of the incoming part web) of the hopper E, in particular of the half hopper F is designed to be greater than a quarter of the maximum width to be printed b02 and corresponds to at least one strand width one of the three sub-webs or substantially equal-width strands S1, S2, S3.
  • the web B3 is thus in one operating situation by two knives M1; M2 in three - eg equal width - partial webs (strands S1 to S2) cut, each of the three strands via a pair of turning bars W laterally offset in the flight to the broader edge f, and led together on this flank f.
  • the web B2 is replaced by z.
  • a knife M1 centrally cut longitudinally, and the two resulting - eg two standard pages in each case wide - partial webs in straight-ahead on the two funnels A; B guided.
  • one of the two partial webs can also be guided via one of the turning devices W onto the other partial web and jointly onto one of the two funnels A; B are led. It is advantageous if at least one of the turning devices W are formed with turning bars of a length which corresponds to at least half the effective width b02 of the forme cylinder 02, or at least half of the maximum web width to be printed, in projection onto the incoming part web.
  • the half hopper F may be in the manner of a pressure medium, eg compressed air, inflated turning bar - eg without an additional hopper plate - be formed.
  • a pressure medium eg compressed air
  • Fig. 8 the partial webs run on an edge f of one of the two funnels A '; B 'on and are on corresponding turning devices and possibly additionally falls (eg, because here the offset of the third sub-web is very low) aligned with this flank f.
  • At least one of the two funnels A '; B ' is asymmetrical with respect to its effective funnel edges, ie it has - for example on a side facing the outside of the machine - a longer effective edge f (or larger width bf of the projection), z. B. bf greater than a width of a printed page in the standard format.
  • the funnel A '; B ' is for this example designed asymmetrically, ie, it has a longer edge f and one of the page width of the standard pressure side corresponding shorter edge (on the machine inside) on. In Fig. 7 and 8th are thus z. B. laterally offset all three sub-webs.
  • funnel edge here are the inclined to the web running direction legs of the substantially triangular funnel A; B; A '; B 'understood.
  • the leg regions of the funnel A 'running obliquely to the direction of web travel; B 'in Fig. 8 are different lengths.
  • the asymmetry is designed such that the length of the one leg becomes zero.
  • FIG. 9 At least one of the funnels A '; B ', especially the hopper B' provided for the third partial webs; movable transversely to the web running direction.
  • the one partial path (here on the left) can travel straight ahead along the longer flank f of the funnel B 'which has moved inward, and the middle and right partial path can likewise be aligned with this flank f via turning devices.
  • the funnel B ' is driven even further inward, one or more partial webs can be moved to the center of the funnel in an unillustrated embodiment and can therefore be longitudinally folded. The same result can be achieved if a partial web to be turned is aligned not on the flank, but on the funnel tip.
  • one or more of the tracks can not on the flank, but exactly between two funnels A '; B 'are driven, but this must then be cut before.
  • both funnels A '; B '- eg together - be designed to be movable transversely to the web running direction in the same direction. In this case, in each case only a wider flank f with a non-turned wider sub-web can be brought into flight.
  • both funnels A '; B ' moves in the direction of the machine center that without turning the one outer part of the web on the outer longer edge f of a funnel B' and the other outer part of the web on the outer longer edge f of the other funnel A 'is performed.
  • the middle sub-path can then either on flank f of one or the other funnel A '; B 'turned or aligned.
