Description

The invention relates to a rolling mill with at least one roll stand for rolling a metal strip and with at least one suction device for extracting haze or dust from the surface of the metal strip before and / or after a rolling operation.

The European patent application EP 0 765 696 A1 discloses a device for keeping cold strip dry in the outlet of cold rolling and strip lines. The device comprises a permanently installed partition and a hinged movable partitioning in the outlet of the plant for rejecting liquid rolling medium in the region of the belt outlet. In the foreclosure a bale blower and a Bandkantenabblasung is integrated. Regardless of the foreclosure, the in EP-A 0 765 696 disclosed plant on a vapor extraction in the vicinity of the expiring metal strip.

From the prior art, for example from the US patent US 3,204,393 Such a rolling mill is basically known. The development of the rolling mill disclosed in this patent was based on the problem that in the hitherto known suction devices in the vicinity of rolling stands very large-sized cooker hoods were used to extract dust, smoke or gases, the monitoring of the rolling plants due to their size and arrangement significantly more difficult during their operation. In order to solve this problem, said US patent proposes to associate so-called suction boxes, each with a suction slot, on the suction ducts on the inlet side and the outlet side of the rolling mill. The suction slots are each arranged in the immediate vicinity of the roll gap, that is, directly where the dust and smoke originates. Due to this favorable placement or arrangement of the suction slot, the amount of air necessary for effective extraction of the dust and the smoke and thus also the dimensions of Absaugboxen or the suction hoods are significantly reduced. On the input side and / or on the output side of the rolling mill or rolling stand preferably pneumatically operating lifting devices are provided for optimal positioning of Absaugboxen together with Walzenabstreifern in their height relative to the metal strip.

Based on this prior art, the present invention seeks to further develop a known rolling mill with a suction device to the effect that the construction of the suction device is simplified and thus cheaper.

This object is solved by the subject matter of patent claim 1. Accordingly, the rolling mill according to the invention is characterized in that the inlet suction channel and / or the outlet suction channel is integrated into the rolling stand and is guided vertically straight in the inlet guide region and / or the outlet guide region closely adjacent to the rollers.

In the context of the present invention, the term "contaminated air" as a generic term for haze; Dust, smoke and / or harmful gases, especially flue gases to understand. The term "rolling stand" stands for quarto roughing stands, duo roughing stands, heavy plate stands in "rolling mills", which are generally designed as hot and cold flat rolling mills.

The claimed embodiment of the rolling plant or the suction device has the advantage that it has no complicated and thus expensive suction boxes over the described, known from the prior art suction and therefore structurally simple and cheaper to produce. Nevertheless, it ensures an effective, because close to the roll gap suction of contaminated air from the environment of the rolled strip, even without that oversized suction hoods would have to be present and without unnecessarily much foreign air from the Workshop, in which the rolling mill is, would have to be sucked. Due to the claimed integration of the inlet suction channel and / or the outlet suction channel in the roll stand, the rolling stand or the entire rolling mill can be made very compact, that is space-saving.

According to a first embodiment of the invention, it is advantageous if the openings in the inlet guide plate and / or in the outlet guide plate are formed in the form of slots. The slots ensure that only smaller particles that pass through the slots are sucked by the suction device out of the vicinity of the metal strip; at the same time, larger particles or foreign objects that do not pass through the slots are retained by the slots. The latter has the advantage that the retained foreign body can not damage the suction device, in particular a fan contained therein.

According to a further embodiment, it is provided that the inlet suction channel and the outlet suction channel each have a fixed main section and an inlet or outlet side movable section. The inlet-side or the outlet-side movable section is then telescopically movable in each case relative to the fixed main section assigned to it. In this way, the inlet suction and / or the Auslaufabsaugkanal can be adjusted in height relative to the surface of the metal strip always in accordance with the respective desired or set thickness of the metal strip, so that in this way always an optimal suction of the contaminated air is guaranteed.

The method of the inlet-side or outlet-side sections together with the guide plates and also together with the existing Walzenabstreifern is advantageously carried out by a drive device, which is preferably designed in the form of hydraulic cylinders.

The invention will now be described in detail in the form of embodiments with reference to said figures.

FIG. 1 shows a rolling mill 100. The rolling mill comprises a rolling stand 110 with rollers 116 for rolling a metal strip. The rolling stand 110 further includes an inlet guide section 112 for inserting the metal strip into a nip 118 and a discharge guide section for extracting the metal strip after rolling from the mill stand 110. In addition, the mill stand 110 has a suction device 120 for sucking contaminated air from the vicinity and in particular from the surface of the metal strip. The suction device 120 comprises on the one hand an inlet suction channel 122 leading into the inlet guide region 112 and / or one outlet suction channel 124 leading into the outlet guide region 114. The inlet guide channel 122 protrudes above an opening 113-O in an inlet guide plate 113 which defines the inlet guide portion 112 and communicates with the inlet guide portion. Similarly, the Auslaufabsaugkanal 124 via an opening 115-O in an outlet guide plate 115 which defines the outlet guide portion 114 and is in communication therewith. In order to carry out the suction of the contaminated air, that is to say of haze, dust, smoke or gases, as efficiently as possible, both the inlet suction channel 122 and the outlet suction channel 124 are arranged as close as possible to the roll gap 118, means if possible in the immediate vicinity of the place where the pollution of the air arises.

As in FIG. 1 can be seen, preferably both the inlet suction channel 122 and the outlet suction channel 124 are formed telescopically. Both channels then have a fixed main portion 122-I, 124-I and a relative to the fixed main portion movable portion 122-II, 124-II. The method is carried out with a drive device 130, which is preferably in the form of hydraulic cylinders 131 (in FIG. 1 not shown) is formed. The inflow-side portion 122-II of the intake exhaust passage 122 opening into the opening 113-O of the intake guide plate 113 is preferably fixed to the intake guide plate 113 at its upstream end, and then moved relative to the main portion 122-I together therewith. The process is carried out in accordance with a respective currently desired size of the roll gap 118. Similarly, the outlet side section 124-II of the Auslaufabsaugkanals 124 is connected to the outlet guide plate 115 and can be moved together with this in accordance with the currently desired size of the roll gap. The inlet guide plate 113 and the outlet guide plate 115 are always in contact with the Walzenabstreifem 119, the guide plates 113, 115 are respectively moved together with the Walzenabstreifern 119 corresponding to the current desired size of the roll gap 118.

The reference numerals 140 are in FIG. 1 Designates transport rollers over which the metal strip to be rolled is guided into the rolling stand or led out of this. The vertically upwardly directed arrows in the inlet suction channel 122 and the outlet suction channel 124 indicate the direction in which the contaminated air is sucked out. In contrast, the horizontally oriented double arrows indicate the rolling direction W, in which the metal strip passes through the roll stand.

According to the invention, both the inlet suction channel 122 and the outlet suction channel 124 are integrated into the rolling stand, so that this and thus the entire rolling mill can be compact, that is to say save space. The integration of the said channels into the roll stand is possible in particular because of the arrangement of the channels in a straight line and close to the roll gap in the vertical direction.

FIG. 2 FIG. 12 shows a side view of the inlet side portion 122-II of the inlet suction channel 122. It can be seen that this inlet side section at the end which projects into the opening 113-O is extended as far as possible over the entire width of the metal strip to be rolled. In order to save material and costs, but also for suction reasons, the inlet-side section 122-II can increasingly taper with increasing distance from the inlet guide region 112. Section 122-II is in both FIG. 1 as well as in FIG. 2 shown disposed opposite to the transport roller 140. These illustrations are only to be understood as examples; the transport roller 140 could also be positioned elsewhere.

In FIG. 3 Fig. 12 is a plan view of the inlet end of the inlet side portion 122-II. It can be seen there as already in FIG. 2 schematically illustrated that the opening 113-O is divided into a plurality of partial openings in the form of slots 113-S. Through the slots 113-S is prevented that larger parts are sucked by the suction device 120 with and then undesirably clog or even destroy. In the FIGS. 2 and 3 shown representations of the inlet suction channel 122 equally apply to the Auslaufabsaugkanal 124th
