Steifigkeit aufweisen, da sie in beliebig geringen Abständen nebeneinander angeordnet werden können, da zwischen ihnen den Erfordernissen entsprechende Absaugkanäle vorgesehen sein können, und da sie zudem auch als Abstreifleisten für die an die Unterseite des Siebbandes gelangende Flüssigkeit dienen.
Derartige Abstreifleisten sind jedoch deshalb nachteilig, da sie aufgrund der Ausbildung mit Platten aus einem keramischen Material in ihrer Herstellung sehr teuer sind und da zwischen ihnen und den anliegenden Siebbändern bzw. Filzbändern sehr hohe Reibungskräfte auftreten. Durch diese hohen Reibungskräfte ist einerseits für die Bewegung der Siebbänder bzw. der Filzbänder eine hohe Antriebsleistung erforderlich. Andererseits treten aufgrund dieser Reibungskräfte in den Platten aus einem keramischen Material sehr große thermische Belastungen und hierdurch bedingte thermische Spannungen auf, durch welche sie brechen können, worauf sie ersetzt werden müssen.
