- the present invention relates to a modular assembly for storing and storing objects of various sizes, including tools, the number and dimensions of which may change over time.

- the user wishes to ensure the security of the materials contained in the storage boxes, he is forced on the one hand to lock one after the other access to each of the modules forming the whole then, on the other hand, to join together the modules.
- the present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages by proposing a modular storage unit in which the user will be able to share between one another the different modules and on the other hand to lock each of the access means each module from any of the lock commands that each module has.
- the subject of the present invention is thus a storage unit of the type consisting of at least two modules which can be secured to each other, and each comprising means for access to at least one storage space comprising closure means, and means for interconnection of the modules together, characterized in that each module comprises locking means on the one hand of the means for securing the modules together and on the other hand means for closing at their access.
- the locking means of the securing means and the means for closing the access to the modules may be addressable from the same centralized control that may be constituted by any one of the locking commands of a module.
- This centralized control of the locking means may be arranged on the front face of the modules, in particular at the upper part thereof.
- Each module may comprise at least one cremone mounted vertically movable under the action of centralized locking control, able to occupy two positions, namely a locking position in which it will ensure on the one hand the locking means of access to the internal volume of at least a part of the module, and secondly the locking of the means of securing the modules together, and an unlocking position in which it will release these elements.
- These cremones may be provided with coupling means that can be controlled by the means for securing the modules together.
- the modules may advantageously comprise centering means intended to ensure their positioning relative to each other.
- centering means may for example consist of a rabbet made at their upper part and their lower part on their lateral sides, this rabbet being such that one is in “hollow” and the other is in “full” .

- any movement of approximation of the two control buttons 46 has the effect of bringing back to each other the two bolts 48 against the force of the spring 50.
- the upper part of each bolt 48 is hollowed out of a vertical groove 49 which opens upwards.
- the bolts 48 are engaged in the lights 32 of the espagnolette 30, so that to remove the drawer 12 the user is obliged to retract the bolts by bringing the two buttons 46. When they are released the bolts resume their position out which ensures the maintenance of the drawers if they are then in the retracted position.
- the elongated downward shape of the lights 32 made in the cremones 30 allows them to move down while maintaining the drawers without locking them, and this until the upper part of the lights 32 engage in the notches 49 of the bolts 48 when the espagnolette 30 is moved down.
- the bolts 48 are then locked and the user can therefore free the drawers 12 by acting on the buttons 46 since the bolts can no longer slide to retract, being prevented by the espagnolette 30.
