Der Heizmedienrücklauf erfolgt über das zwischen den unteren Anschlussgarnituren angeordnete Rücklaufrohr.
Der Anschluss des Heizkörpers kann nach einem bevorzugten Merkmal beliebig wechselseitig oder gleichseitig an den Heizkreislauf erfolgen.

Die Anschlussgarnituren (c, d) sind durch ein Rücklaufrohr (e) miteinander verbunden, wobei das Rücklaufrohr (e) die Anschlussgarnitur (c) durchkreuzt, so dass die Heizmedienströme von der vorderen zur hinteren Platte und vom verbindenden Rücklaufrohr (e) getrennt bleiben (Fig. 2 und 5). Der Heizmedienvorlauf VL ist je nach Anschlussort über die Anschlussgarnitur (a) oder (b) einleitbar (Fig.3 bzw. 4). Der Anschluss des Heizkörpers kann nach einem bevorzugten Merkmal beliebig wechselseitig oder gleichseitig an den Heizkreislauf erfolgen. Das Heizmedium aus dem Heizungsvorlauf VL strömt also je nach Anschlussart in den Vorlaufanschluss a oder auch b (Fig. 3 bzw. 4). Da der Strömungsweg zur hinteren Platte 21 in den oberen Anschlussgarnituren a, b versperrt ist, muss das Heizmedium in die vordere Platte 11 einströmen, in welcher sich das Heizmedium teilweise abkühlt. Am unteren Ende der vorderen Platte 11 strömt das Heizmedium über die Anschlussgarnitur c von der vorderen Platte 11 in die hintere Platte 21, ohne dabei mit dem Heizmedium aus dem Rücklaufrohr e in Verbindung zu kommen. Die Anschlussgarnitur c ist ein übliches Überström-T-Stück mit dem zum Rücklaufanschluss führenden durchgesteckten Rücklaufrohr e.
