Description

  • Die Erfindung richtet sich auf einen Applikator für ein Kosmetikum, insbesondere für Mascara oder ein Haarfärbemittel, umfassend einen mit einem Stiel verbindbaren Grundkörper mit einer Mehrzahl von im Abstand voneinander parallel zueinander angeordneter Scheiben.
  • In der US 2002/0014251 A1 wird ein Applikator beispielsweise zum Auftragen von Mascara beschrieben, der scheibenförmige Besatzelemente umfasst. Diese Besatzelemente sind allerdings nicht parallel zueinander angeordnet. Benachbarte Besatzelemente sind jeweils gegeneinander verkippt. Der Verkippungswinkel bezüglich der Mittellängsachse kann im Bereich zwischen 45° und 90° variieren. Der aufgrund der Verkippung resultierende größte Abstand zwischen zwei benachbarten scheibenförmigen Besatzelementen kann im Bereich zwischen 1 mm und 5 mm liegen.
  • Im Gegensatz zu durch Verdrillen von Drähten zum Festlegen der Borsten hergestellten Mascara-Bürstchen eröffnen derartige durch Spritzgießen hergestellte Bürstchen einen viel weiteren Gestaltungsspielraum.
  • Die Formgebung der vorstehend erwähnten, vorbekannten Applikatoren mit einer Mehrzahl von Scheiben war vornehmlich durch spritzgießtechnische und entformungstechnische Vorgaben bestimmt.
  • Neuere Spritzgießtechniken ermöglichen demgegenüber weitaus individuellere Formgebungen, weshalb hiervon ausgehend der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde liegt, unter Ausnutzung dieser Möglichkeiten die Auftrags- und Kämmeigenschaften zu verbessern.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird bei einem gattungsgemäßen Applikator erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass der Scheibenabstand im Scheitelbereich bei 0,2 bis 2,4 mm, insbesondere bei 0,2 bis 1,6 mm, und im Fußbereich bei 0,0 bis 1, 2mm, insbesondere bei 0,1 bis 0,7 mm liegt.
  • Vorzugsweise sind die Scheiben anwendungsspezifisch strukturiert. Dies ist so zu verstehen, dass die Scheiben keine in Umfangsrichtung gleichmäßige, streng scheibenförmige Geometrie aufweisen, sondern in sich und insbesondere in ihrem äußeren Randbereich strukturiert sind. Dem liegt die Erkenntnis zugrunde, dass der ganz überwiegende Teil des Auftrags- und Kämmverhaltens durch den Randbereich des Applikators vorgegeben wird. Dem Rechnung tragend wurden beispielsweise bei gedrehten Mascara-Bürstchen schon Borsten eingesetzt, deren Enden meiselförmig ausgebildet sind (vgl. DE 102 32 589 A1 ). Diese Entwicklung wird nun für durch Spritzgießen hergestellte Bürstchen konsequent fortgesetzt. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Dimensionierung wird bezogen auf eine übliche Besatzlänge von 25,4 mm eine größere Scheibendichte als herkömmlich und damit eine besonders gute Wimpernseparierung und ―kämmung erreicht.
  • In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung kann vorgesehen sein, dass der Grundkörper aus einem ersten, härteren Kunststoff und die Scheiben aus einem zweiten, weicheren Kunststoff bestehen, wodurch einerseits die Längsstabilität des Applikators gewährleistet ist und andererseits vorteilhafte Auftragseigenschaften erreicht werden.
  • Weiterhin kann vorgesehen sein, dass die Scheiben von einer oder mehreren in Längsrichtung verlaufenden Nuten durchsetzt sind. Hierdurch werden zusätzliche Reservoirs für das zu applizierende Kosmetikum geschaffen und gleichzeitig wird aufgrund der hierdurch ausgebildeten radial verlaufenden Kanten die Kämm- und Separationswirkung erhöht.
  • Die Nuten können auch von Scheibe zu Scheibe versetzt eingebracht sein.
  • Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform sieht vor, dass die Scheiben im Querschnitt konisch ausgebildet sind, wobei an der Konusspitze eine konkave Nut vorgesehen sein kann.
  • Alternativ können die Scheiben auch zueinander parallele Außenflächen aufweisen und im Peripheriebereich im Querschnitt halbkreisförmig abgerundet sein.
  • Sofern vorstehend und im Nachfolgenden von Scheiben die Rede ist, könnten diese auch als Ringe bezeichnet werden, weil sie von einer Längsausnehmung durchsetzt werden können.
  • Die Scheiben können auch im Zweikomponenten-Spritzgießverfahren hergestellt sein, sodass sie aus einem weicheren Kunststoff bestehen, während ein Zentralkörper oder Grundkörper aus einem härteren Kunststoff besteht.
  • Eine weitere Variante sieht vor, dass ausgehend von einem im Wesentlichen konischen Querschnitt im Bereich der Konusspitze eine wulstartige, umlaufende Verdickung ausgebildet ist.
  • Zur Erzielung eines ausgeprägten Curl-Effekts, d. h. zur Aufwölbung der Wimpern beim Kämmen, kann jede Scheibe eine Abstufung aufweisen, an der die Wimpern beim Kämmen zur Anlage kommen.
  • Die Scheibenkonfiguration kann in der Aufsicht vorzugsweise rund, rechteckig, mit Vorsprüngen versehen oder nach Art eines vierblättrigen Kleeblatts ausgebildet sein.
  • Die Tiefe der Nuten zwischen den einzelnen Scheiben liegt günstigerweise bei 0,5 bis 3,0 mm, vorzugsweise bei ca. 2,25 mm.
  • Die Breite der Scheiben im Fußbereich liegt mit Vorteil bei 0,2 bis 1,2 mm.
  • Ein erfindungsgemäßer Applikator kann durch Ein- oder Zweikomponentenspritzen hergestellt werden, wobei insbesondere eine Kombination von TPE oder TPU für die Scheiben und PP, PE, POM, PBT, PA für den Grundkörper in Betracht kommt. Der Grundkörper kann auch durch ein Metallrohr gebildet sein.
  • Ist der Applikator aus einem Kunststoff hergestellt, so ist vorzugsweise PE, PP, PA, PBT oder Polyester und Polyacryl bevorzugt.
  • Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand eines bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiels in Verbindung mit der Zeichnung näher erläutert. Dabei zeigen:

  • Ein erfindungsgemäßes Mascara-Bürstchen 1 umfasst einen stabartigen, länglichen Grundkörper 2 mit einem Verbindungsabschnitt 3 zur Befestigung an einem Stiel. Der Besatz 4 besteht aus einer Mehrzahl von Scheiben 5, die einstückig mit dem Scheibenfuß verbunden sind, wobei in Längsrichtung verlaufende konkave Nuten 6 wahlweise vorgesehen sind, zwischen welchen konvex gewölbte Kämme 7 ausgebildet sind.
  • In Fig. 1a ist eine erste Querschnittskonfiguration einer Scheibe 5a mit planparallelen Seitenwänden und halbkreisförmiger Peripherie 8 dargestellt.
  • Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 1b ist die Scheibe 5b im Querschnitt konisch mit abgerundeter Peripherie 9 ausgebildet. Diese Ausführungsform ist besonders bevorzugt.
  • Bei dieser Ausführungsform, aber auch bei anderen hier beschriebenen Ausführungsformen beträgt die Breite der Scheibenfüße beim Übergang in den Grundkörper 2 0,2 mm bis 1,2 mm, der Abstand der Fußbereiche zweier benachbarter Scheiben 0,0 mm bis 1,2 mm, der Abstand der Scheibenspitzen bzw. der Mittellängslinien zweier benachbarter Spitzen 0,2 mm bis 2,4 mm, die wirksame Scheibenhöhe 0,5 mm bis 8,0 mm, insbesondere 1,5 bis 1,7 mm, der Durchmesser jeder Scheibe bei 4,0 mm bis 15 mm, eine Scheibenzahl von 127 bis 140 bezogen auf eine "Besatzlänge" von 25,4 mm oder anders gesagt, eine Scheibendichte von 5 bis 50 Scheiben pro 10 mm, wobei die Besatzlänge zwischen 10 mm und 100 mm liegen kann. Der Konuswinkel liegt bei 0,75° bis 99°, insbesondere bei 0,75° bis 2,5°, und der Spitzen-Krümmungsradius bei 0,025 mm bis 0,5 mm.
  • Fig. 1c zeigt eine Abwandlung von Fig. 1b mit einer Nut 10 an der Peripherie.
  • Bei der in Fig. 1d dargestellten Ausführungsform ist die Scheibe 5d im Querschnitt ebenfalls konisch, weist an der Peripherie 11 jedoch eine abgerundete Verdickung auf.
  • Die Ausführungsform nach Fig. 1e zeigt eine Scheibe 5e, welche im Querschnitt konisch ist und eine Peripherie 12 mit einer Mehrzahl von umlaufenden Nuten 13 aufweist.
  • Die Ausführungsform nach Fig. 1f zeigt eine Scheibe 5f mit konischen Flanken 14 bzw. 15, die zur Erzielung eines Curl-Effekts durch eine Abstufung 16 unterbrochen sind.
  • In Fig. 2 ist eine Schnittdarstellung durch eine Scheibe 5 zu sehen, wobei eine Mehrzahl radialer Nuten 6 vorgesehen ist, zwischen denen Kämme 7 ausgebildet sind.
  • Die Nuten 6 müssen nicht notwendigerweise, wie in Fig. 4 dargestellt, in Längsrichtung durchgehend ausgebildet sein, sondern können von Scheibe zu Scheibe auch versetzt ausgebildet werden.
  • In Fig. 5 ist eine Scheibe 5 dargestellt, die Ausnehmungen bzw. Nuten 6 aufweist, wobei in der Mitte jeder Ausnehmung bzw. Nut 6 eine Borste 17 angeordnet ist.
  • Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 6 ist vorgesehen, dass die Scheiben 5 einen annähernd quadratischen Querschnitt mit abgerundeten Seitenflächen aufweisen.
  • Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 7 besitzen die Scheiben 5 ebenfalls einen im Wesentlichen quadratischen Querschnitt, wobei die Seitenflächen konkav und die Eckbereiche abgerundet ausgebildet sind.
  • In Fig. 8 ist ein Grundkörper 2 mit einem Stielansatz 3 dargestellt, der einen im Querschnitt fünfeckigen Bereich 18 aufweist. Der Grundkörper 2 ist innen hohl und weist mehrere Austrittsöffnungen 19 auf. Dementsprechend ist es möglich, durch die Längsausnehmung und die Durchtrittsöffnungen 19 im Zweikomponenten-Spritzgießverfahren eine zweite, insbesondere weichere Komponente zur Ausbildung der Scheiben 5 zu spritzen. Der Grundkörper 2 weist Vorsprünge 20 auf, die verhindern, dass der Borstenkörper in axialer Richtung abgestreift werden kann.
  • Ergänzend bzw. abweichend von den vorstehend beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispielen kann vorgesehen sein, dass die Scheiben und deren Zentralbereich einstückig aus einem Material gespritzt sind, oder aber dass der Zentralbereich aus einem ersten Kunststoff besteht und im Zweikomponenten-Spritzgießverfahren die Scheiben an diesen, beispielsweise aus einem weicheren Kunststoff bestehend, angespritzt sind.
  • Die Scheiben können am Umfang wenigstens eine Ausnehmung aufweisen, wobei mehrere in axialer Richtung hintereinander liegende Ausnehmungen aufeinanderfolgender Scheiben eine Nut ausbilden können.
  • Es kann weiterhin vorgesehen sein, dass im Bereich der Ausnehmung der Scheiben eine oder mehrere Borsten angeordnet sind. In Längsrichtung gesehen können auch abwechselnd Scheiben und Borstenkränze angeordnet sein.
  • Der Grundkörper kann zur Befestigung an einem Stiel wenigstens abschnittsweise im Querschnitt mehreckig sein, um auf diese Weise eine verdrehsichere Montage zu erzielen.

Claims (12)

  1. Applikator für ein Kosmetikum, insbesondere für Mascara oder ein Haarfärbemittel, umfassend einen mit einem Stiel verbindbaren Grundkörper (2) mit einer Mehrzahl von im Abstand voneinander parallel zueinander angeordneter Scheiben (5), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Scheibenabstand im Scheitelbereich bei 0,2 bis 1,6 mm, und im Fußbereich bei 0,1 bis 0,7 mm liegt, wobei der Grundkörper (2) aus einem ersten, härteren Kunststoff und die Scheiben (5) aus einem zweiten, weicheren Kunststoff bestehen.
  2. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheiben (5) von einer oder mehreren in Längsrichtung verlaufenden Nuten (6) durchsetzt sind, wobei die Nuten (6) von Scheibe (5) zu Scheibe (5) versetzt eingebracht sein können.
  3. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheiben (5a) planparallele Außenflächen aufweisen und im Peripheriebereich (8) im Querschnitt annähernd halbkreisförmig abgerundet ausgebildet sind.
  4. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheiben (5c) im Querschnitt konisch ausgebildet sind.
  5. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ausgehend von einem im Wesentlichen konischen Querschnitt im Bereich der Konusspitze eine wulstartige, umlaufende Verdickung (11) ausgebildet ist.
  6. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheiben (5f) im Querschnitt gesehen eine Abstufung (16) aufweisen.
  7. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheiben (5) in der Aufsicht rund, rechteckig, mit Vorsprüngen versehen oder nach Art eines vierblättrigen Kleeblattes ausgebildet sind.
  8. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Tiefe der Nuten (6) zwischen den einzelnen Scheiben (5) bei 0,5 bis 3,0 mm, vorzugsweise bei ca. 2,25 mm liegt.
  9. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Breite der Scheiben (5) im Fußbereich bei 0,2 bis 1,2 mm liegt.
  10. Applikator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Applikator im Zweikomponentenspritzen hergestellt ist, wobei die eine Komponente TPE, also ein thermoplastisches Elastomer, und die andere Komponente TPU, also ein thermoplastisches Polyurethan-Elastomer, ist.
  11. Applikator nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Konuswinkel 0,75° bis 99°, insbesondere 0,75° bis 25° beträgt.
  12. Applikator nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Krümmungsradius im Spitzenbereich 0,025 mm bis 0,5 mm beträgt.
