Description

The invention relates to a floor care appliance with a rotatable brush according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Floor care equipment of the type in question are known, so for example. In the form of attachments for household vacuum cleaners or in the form of stalk guided sweepers. These have rotating brushes, for sweeping the floor to be cleaned, including the brushes are generally aligned transversely to a usual direction in which the user pushes the device in front of him and further wherein the brush with their bristle tufts protrude down over the bottom of the device , To alleviate the ease of such floor care appliances also have at least one roller over which the device is supported on the floor to be cleaned.

Gleiches zeigt schließlich auch die EP-A-0523632 .From the JP-A-05228085 For example, a floor care appliance with a brush integral with an impeller is known. The impeller is driven by the brush. It is part of the brush itself JP 040589256A a floor care device with a rotatable brush is known, in which the roller is penetrated by the axle body of the brush and the axle body of the brush at the same time forms the axis of the roller. The US-A-4660247 shows such a floor care device with a juxtaposition of brush and roller. The same shows finally the EP-A-0523632 ,

Based on the cited prior art, the object of the invention is to improve a floor care appliance of the type in question with regard to a simple, effective design.

This object is achieved in the subject matter of claim 1, wherein it is pointed out that the roller is penetrated by the brush, wherein a central opening of the roller or optionally a guide of the roller forms a passage opening for the brushes and a support of the roller in the absence of axles takes place over its outer circumference or the leadership of the roller is mounted transversely to the axis of rotation of the roller in the range of the device housing. According to this embodiment of the invention, a floor care device is provided in which the roller is arranged in a direct soil cultivation area independently rotatable by the brush. In particular, the arrangement according to the invention of the roller in floor care appliances which work with an extraction in the region of the brush is advantageous. Thus, it is known in the known devices for preventing the suction of the floor care device to the carpet, to arrange a roller with a centrally arranged axis in the direction before or behind the penetrated by the brush suction mouth in the field of equipment bottom. Further measures to prevent the suction exist, for example. By the arrangement of webs in the suction mouth. However, if rollers mounted in the direction of travel in front of the suction mouth or in front of the brush, this is inevitably further away from the end face of the floor care device, which means a disadvantage with respect to the front exhaust. If rollers are arranged behind the suction mouth or the brush, in particular a carpet in the end region of the device is often sucked up so far that it comes to a self-sealing and thus high sliding forces. In this respect, the arrangement of the roller according to the invention proves to be advantageous, since in this way the brush or the suction mouth penetrated by the brush can be arranged further close to the frontal area of the floor care appliance for improved front extraction or brushing. Furthermore, the roller according to the invention is arranged in the critical region, such as in the brushing and optionally suction region, so that, in particular in a floor care appliance, in which at the same time an extraction takes place for brushing, a carpet section to be processed is held down by the roller. An intake and thus a self-sealing is counteracted. As a result, the sliding forces are reduced especially in a brushing and suction processing of a carpet. Since the roller is designed so that the brush protrudes through the roller, the function of the rotating brush is not hindered. Roller and brush are preferably arranged approximately coaxially with each other. Furthermore, the brush undergoes a defined ground clearance by the inventive arrangement of the roller. The guide for the roller, which leaves a passage opening for the brush, preferably extends over only a part of the circumference of the roller, so for example. Over 25 to 75%, preferably about 30% of the circumference. This guide defines the geometric axis of the roller and may, for example, be formed as a sliding guide. Furthermore, in this regard, it is preferable for the guide to extend beyond a lower peripheral section in the operating position of the floor care appliance. The guide can be held in the region of the brushing or suction chamber. Thus, further holder can be designed in the region of the brushing or suction chamber. In an advantageous development of the subject invention it is provided that the guide also forms a hub portion, but the roller moves relative to the hub portion. The guide is for this purpose shell-shaped to form a over a part of the circumference of the roller extending hub portion on which radially outwardly the annular shaped roller is guided. The latter passes through the guide in a radially outwardly extending section. This section also serves to hold the guide or the roller bearing hub portion. The penetrated by the roller opening in this section is cross-sectionally designed so that the roller is positively held on the guide. Thus, in a preferred embodiment, the leadership forming a hub portion guide with the radially outwardly extending portions are secant associated with the roller, wherein in the region of the sections a penetration is achieved by the roller. The penetrated area in the sections is of a cross-sectional and curvature in the circumferential direction of the roller to the latter adapted for rotationally movable, but axle-fixed support of the roller both in Laufachsachsrichtung and across it. The brush has a Bürstenachskörper and here radially projecting bristle tufts. In this regard, it is proposed that the passage opening of the roller is selected to be larger than the diameter of the Bürstenachskörpers but smaller than a maximum radial extent of the bristle tufts. Thus, the brush may be circumferentially bristle-free in the penetration area to the roller be held. Due to the fact that the passage opening of the roller is chosen smaller than a maximum radial extent of the bristle tufts, the brushing of this floor is ensured even when supporting the roller on a carpet or the like. In addition, the passage opening of the roller is chosen so that a tiltably mounted brush - so, for example, to react on bumps - is freely movable in the penetrated region of the roller. The bearing of the roller can also be achieved by a sliding guide, in which the annular roller is supported on its inner wall by means of rollers. Alternatively, the roller can be supported on its outer periphery axis-free. Such a support can be made in the manner of a roller or cylinder bearing, for forming a roller or outer sliding guide. In an exemplary embodiment, a plurality, so preferably three uniformly spaced supports are provided over the circumference of the roller, which is annular, wherein these forming roller or cylinder bearings in the range of the device housing, so further preferably in the brush or Saugraumes are held.

Der Anschlussstutzen 6 steht in strömungstechnischer Verbindung mit einem - in üblicher Vorschubrichtung r betrachteten - stirnseitigen Saugraum 7, welcher sich quer zur Vorschubrichtung r in dem Bodenpflegegerät 5 erstreckt und nach unten, d. h. zum zu pflegenden Boden 4 gewandt einen schlitzartigen Saugmund 8 ausformtThe connecting piece 6 is in fluid communication with a - viewed in the usual direction of feed r - frontal suction chamber 7, which extends transversely to the feed direction r in the floor care device 5 and downward, ie facing the floor to be cared 4 forms a slot-like suction 8

In the suction chamber 7 further drivable, rotatable brushes 9 are arranged, which also extend transversely to the feed direction r over the Saugraumbreite. The bristle tufts 19 of the brushes 9 project on the underside over the device base 11 through the suction mouth 8 for brushing the bottom 4.

As in particular in the bottom view in Fig. 2 To recognize the ground care device 5 in the rear, ie the connecting piece 6 facing area provided with rollers 12, which are rotatably mounted in the usual manner about an anchored in the device housing 13 axle body 14.

A further support is experienced by the floor care device 5 in the side area considered in the feed direction r, so concretely in the region of the suction mouth 8 penetrated by the brushes 9 or by the bristle tufts 19.

Here are further rollers 15 are provided, which are arranged centrally in the extension direction of a respective brush 9 interspersed by these.

Fig. 3). In the Fig. 3 to 7 a first embodiment of this arranged in the front region of the floor care device 5 rollers 15 is shown. These initially have a guide 16, which leaves a through opening 17 for the respective brush 9, which is selected to be larger than the diameter d of a Bürstenachskörpers 18, but greater than a radial extent of the radially from the Bürstenachskörper 18 protruding bristle tufts 19 (see. Fig. 3 ). In the, the roller 15 passing through axial portion of the Bürstenachskörper 18 is held bristle-free. The geometric axis of rotation of the roller 15 is defined by the guide 16.

The guide 16 extends only over part of the circumference of the roller 15, so in the illustrated embodiment, about over a third of the roller circumference, wherein further the guide 16 also forms a hub portion 20 for the substantially ringfömig formed roller 15. On both sides of this end in cross-section shell-shaped hub portion 20 are formed approximately radially outwardly extending portions 21, which portions 21 are penetrated by the annular roller 15.

The thus formed guide 16 is secant-like assigned to the lower position of the roller 15 in the working position of the floor care device 5. The roller 15 is supported in this case on the inside wall of the hub portion 20, wherein a radial outer dimension of this hub portion 20 is selected to be smaller than the radial outer dimension of the roller 15th

About the approximately radially projecting portions 21, the guide 16 is supported transversely to the axis of rotation of the roller 15, to which the sections 21 in the device housing 13, so in particular in the region of the suction chamber 7 are tied.

The arrangement and determination of the leadership; 16 is further selected so that the roller 15 projects beyond a circular section down over the bottom of the device 11.

Fig. 6 und 7).The annular roller 15 is positively held on the guide 16, to which the annular roller 15 has an approximately double-T-shaped cross-section. The intersected by the roller 15 sections 21 have cross-sectionally shaped corresponding through openings 22 which are formed in the thickness direction of the sections 21 adapted to the circular arc of the roller 15 (see. 6 and 7 ).

According to this embodiment, the roller 15 is held positively on the guide 16 with free rotational movement. The support of the floor care device 5 via the rollers 15 and also a lifting of the floor care device 5 do not lead to a relative displacement of the roller 15 relative to the guide 16 in the transverse direction to the axis of rotation.

Due to the fact that the guide 16 is only partially formed over the circumference of the roller 15, the through opening 17 to be penetrated by the brush 9 is formed by the hub portion 20 and the central opening of the annular roller 15 A light measure of this passage opening 17 corresponds approximately 1.2 to 1.5 times the brush body diameter d. The bristle tufts 19 projecting radially from the brush body 18 are selected in their extent dimension so that they protrude radially with their free ends over the roller outer surface.

According to the embodiment of the invention, the rollers 15 has a double function. In particular, carpets, which can be easily sucked by the imminent vacuum in the suction chamber 7, which would lead to a closure of the suction chamber 7 and thus to an increase in the sliding forces , Are held down in the critical area by the rollers 15.

An alternative embodiment for axially fixing the rollers 15 is in the 8 and 9 shown. These rollers 15 are formed achsörperfrei, so that formed by the annular formation of the roller 15 central opening at the same time forms the passage opening 17 for the brush 9. The support of the roller 15 takes place in the region of its outer periphery, including viewed in the direction of rotation on both sides of the rollers 15 cylindrical bearings 23 are provided, which with the beveled edges 24th the roller 15 cooperate Here, the cylinder bearings 23 are aligned approximately at an angle of 45 ° to the plane extension of the roller 15 wherein further distributed over the circumference of the roller 15 three cylinder bearing pairs, each including an angle of 120 "between them, are provided Cylinder bearings 23 are in this case held in the region of the device housing 13, in particular in the region of the suction chamber 7.
