Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fire detector according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Fire detectors are used for the early detection of fires in areas with appropriate fire load for the protection of persons and property.
  • Fire detectors are usually mounted on the ceiling and have a round, white housing with a diameter of about 10cm and a height of about 7cm to 10 cm. Due to its function, the housing sits on the ceiling.
  • Fire detectors are standard industrial products and fire detectors of one type and manufacturer usually look the same.
  • the corresponding housing size is usually immediately recognizable as a fire detector in rooms with public traffic on the ceiling.
  • the uniformity of the series production and the housing form thus always represent a compromise between the function of the fire detector and the taste of the user and the visual requirements of the environment.
  • a scattered light smoke detector which has a light emitter and a light receiver, the arranged such that a scattering point outside of the scattered light smoke detector is located outdoors, wherein the scattered light smoke detector has a cover for protecting the light emitter and the light receiver, and means for distinguishing between smoke and other foreign bodies, which are located in a region around the scattering point.
  • the means for distinguishing between smoke and other foreign bodies have a processor for analyzing the time course of received signals of the light receiver, wherein the processor is connectable to the light receiver.
  • US 5333418 shows a smoke detector hidden in the ceiling behind a cap.
  • a scattered light smoke detector which has two light receivers or an imaging optics for a light receiver for setting a defined measuring volume.
  • the inventively designed fire detector with the features of claim 1 offers the advantage of universal usability, since it is adaptable to virtually any environmental conditions in a simple and cost-effective manner.
  • the fire detector has a cap which can be connected to the housing of the fire detector and terminates the housing flush with the ceiling.
  • the cap has a recess into which pre-cut films can be inserted before the cap is placed on the housing of the fire detector.
  • Such films are inexpensive to produce light-proof design with a variety of color shades.
  • the cap is preferably made transparent.
  • the fire detector is designed as a standard mounting kit that includes films with the usual living room colors.
  • the housing and the cap can be connected to one another by a latching or clip connection.
  • a hook and loop fastener may be provided.
  • Such releasable connection means on the one hand ensure a secure hold of the cap on the housing of the fire detector.
  • the cover cap On the other hand, however, they also make it possible for the cover cap to be easily removed for replacement of a film and to be reconnected to the housing.
  • the material and shape of the cap can support color matching.
  • the impression can be supported by a slightly convex shape of the cap, that shades harmoniously merge into each other.
  • the cap can completely or at least in partial areas of its surface also be slightly frosted to further this impression. The above measures blur the differences between adjacent areas of different surface texture and color.
  • cap and / or aperture can also be configured as a template for the matching blank of cover material.
  • matching cover material can be cut to size at the place of assembly to suit the environment and inserted in place instead of a foil in the cover cap.
  • a film with a contrasting color which differs greatly from the environment can also be used if this is desired for design reasons.
  • special optical effects can be achieved. This great flexibility is made possible by the solution according to the invention.
  • FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the invention. Shown is a fire detector 1 in a cross section.
  • the fire detector 1 comprises a flush mounting box 1.4 for mounting the fire detector 1 in a recess 5 of the ceiling 4, in which a cable, not shown in the drawing for the connection of the fire detector 1 is introduced.
  • the fire detector 1 comprises a base 1.5, which is connected to the interior of the flush-mounted box 1.4 and on which the electrical wires of the cable are placed on contact elements and a detector insert 1.1, which is inserted with a releasable closure device in the base 1.5 and thereby automatically to the Contact elements is connected.
  • a radiation receiver 1.2 and a radiation transmitter 1.3 are arranged in the detector insert 1.1.
  • the fire detector 1 comprises a preferably transparent cap 3 and an exchangeable film 2, which is arranged between the cap 3 and the detector insert 1.1.
  • the flush-mounted box 1.4 and the base 1.5 can be pre-assembled independently of the actual detector insert 1.1. It does not matter at what time of the assembly progress the ceiling color is applied to the ceiling 4.
  • the detector 1.1 is normally introduced by a specialist in the base 1.5 and checked for correct function.
  • FIG. 2 is a further embodiment of a fire detector 1 shown in a cross section.
  • a flush mounting box 1.4 is provided, which is fixed in a recess 5 of the ceiling 4.
  • a base 1.5 is arranged in the flush mounting box 1.4.
  • a detector insert 1.1 is detachably connected to the base 1.4.
  • the detector insert 1.1 fastened in the base 1.4 does not cover the edge of the base 1.4.
  • an annular aperture 3.1 is additionally provided, which surrounds the cap 3.
  • this panel is expediently designed to be easily removable, so that even in this annular edge region a film 3.1 can be inserted.
  • the cap 3 designed slightly convex. This effect can be further enhanced by the fact that the cover 3, or the aperture 3.1, not completely transparent, but provided with a slight matting. In this case, the fire detector 1 appears like a slightly milky cover on the ceiling surface. Any existing differences in the shades are no longer distinguishable.
