Bremseinrichtung für ein bewegliches Bauteil eines Möbelelementes, insbesondere eines Polstermöbelelementes, das ein Traggestell (1) aufweist, mit mindestens einer am beweglichen Bauteil (3) (oder am Traggestell (1)) anzubringenden Gleitschiene (7) und mit mindestens einem am Traggestell (1) (oder am beweglichen Bauteil (3)) anzubringenden Bremslagerblock (8), wobei der Bremslagerblock (8) eine am beweglichen Bauteil (3) angebrachte, das bewegliche Bauteil (3) am Traggestell (1) tragende, auf der Gleitschiene (7) frei gleitend verschiebbare Halterung (9), sowie an einander gegenüberliegenden Bremsflächen (10) der Gleitschiene (7) zur Anlage kommende flächige Bremsbacken (11) aufweist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Halterung (9) von den Bremsbacken (9) räumlich getrennt ist,
daß die Bremsbacken (11) mittels eines Spannmittels (19), insbesondere einer Spannschraube, an die Bremsflächen (10) anstellbar sind und
daß die Bremskraft an den Bremsflächen (10) der Gleitschiene (7) nur oder überwiegend durch die Anstellung der Bremsbacken (11) an die Bremsflächen (10) mittels des Spannmittels (19) erzeugt wird.

wobei, vorzugsweise, das Aufnahmegehäuse (13) und der Gehäusedeckel (14) mit zueinander passenden Formschlußausbildungen (15) versehen sind, die bei aufgesetztem Gehäusedeckel (14) miteinander in Eingriff stehen, und/oder
wobei, vorzugsweise, das Aufnahmegehäuse (13) zusätzlich einen Raum (16) für die Halterung (9) aufweist und die Halterung (9) mit den Bremsbacken (11) durch die Anordnung im Raum (16) des Aufnahmegehäuses (13) gekuppelt ist.
