Description

La surface 7 s'étend de la surface de liaison 6 vers l'intérieur du tronc de côneThe invention relates to a method of producing a mound of earth on the ground, as well as a method of planting a seedling and its clod in such a mound of earth. The invention also relates to a mold for making such a mound of earth and a protective mound cover for said mound of earth. It finds application in the field of crops, such as strawberries. We already know a method of planting seedlings in which the gardener makes a donkey, then a recess at the top of this donkey to insert a seedling and its clod of earth. This process allows the heightening of the plant and the release of the fruits that hang under the leaves of the plant, which increases the amount of sunshine and facilitates harvesting. This process is restrictive insofar as making the donkey is manual and requires stirring up a lot of soil, which is tiring for the gardener and where making the recess can damage the donkey, requiring its reconstruction. . A solution is provided by the document GB-A-775,174 which describes the production of a mound of earth with a recess at the top using a mold. The mounds thus produced are of small dimensions, in particular the production of mounds of larger dimensions is impossible because the earth will escape from the mold during the inversion. An object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing an earth mound with a recess which does not have the drawbacks of the prior art. To this end, there is proposed a method of producing a mound of earth on the ground comprising: a step of filling a mold with earth; a step of turning the mold over on the ground; a step of at least partial removal of the mold; process during which a recess is produced at the top of the mound by the mold during molding of the mound by the mold and characterized in that the step of turning the mold is preceded by a step of placing a cover plate on the mold, and followed by a step of removing the cover plate. Advantageously, the removal of the mold is total and is followed by a step of setting up a protective mound covering covering the mound. Advantageously, the recess is a half ellipsoid. The invention also provides a method of planting a seedling and its root ball comprising: a step of producing a mound of earth according to one of the preceding variants; a step of placing the seedling and its root ball in the recess of the mound through an opening in the mound cover; characterized in that the root ball and the recess have a complementary shape. The invention also provides a mold suitable for making a mound according to the method of one of the preceding variants, comprising: a truncated cone forming the side walls of the mold; -a surface in the center of the mold; a bonding surface forming the bottom of the mold between the truncated cone and the surface extends from the bonding surface towards the interior of the truncated cone to form the recess at the top of the mound; characterized in that the mold includes a mold cover plate. Advantageously, the surface is a half ellipsoid. Advantageously, the surface is removable. Advantageously, the connecting surface descends from the truncated cone towards the surface. Advantageously, the connecting surface is a truncated cone. The invention also provides a mound cover for protecting an earth mound produced according to the method of one of the preceding variants comprising: a truncated cone forming the side walls of the mound cover; an upper surface forming the top of the mound cover; characterized in that the upper surface is provided with an access opening to the recess. Advantageously, the upper surface descends from the truncated cone towards the opening. Advantageously, the upper surface is a truncated cone. The characteristics of the invention mentioned above, as well as others, will appear more clearly on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment, said description being made in relation to the accompanying drawings, among which: FIG. . 1 shows a sectional view along a vertical plane of a mound of earth produced according to the method of the invention; Fig. 2 shows a sectional view along a vertical plane of a mold according to the invention; Fig. 3 shows a sectional view along a vertical plane of a mound cover according to the invention. In the description, the position references, top and bottom for example, will be relative to the earth mound, that is to say relative to FIG. 1. A clod and a recess are said to be of complementary shape in cases where the clod is of such size, that it fits into the recess made at the top of the mound under its own weight and that the addition of soil around the root ball is not necessary for planting. The invention provides a method of making an earth mound on the ground comprising: a step of filling a mold with earth; a step of turning the mold over on the ground; a step of at least partial removal of the mold; process during which a recess is produced at the top of the mound by the mold during molding of the mound by the mold and characterized in that the step of turning the mold is preceded by a step of placing a cover plate on the mold, and followed by a step of removing the cover plate. The cover plate (not shown) facilitates the turning and handling of the mold 1. The cover plate is placed against the opening 5, this plate coming to bear against the plate 3. This cover plate allows the mold 1 and the earth contained in the mold 1 to be turned over without the latter being overturned during the turning. This turning plate is put in place before the turning step and removed after this step, by pulling on it to slide it under the mold 1. FIG. 2 shows a mold 1, suitable for making an earth mound21. This mold 1 consists of a truncated cone 4 which forms the side walls of the mold 1; a surface 7 preferably located in the center of the mold 1 and at its top and a connecting surface 6 forming the bottom of the mold 1 between the truncated cone 4 and the surface 7. The surface 7 extends from the bonding surface 6 towards the inside of the truncated cone
4.4.
The mold 1 includes an opening 5 located at the base of the truncated cone 4, this opening 5 provides access to the filling area 8 located inside the truncated cone 4. The mold 1 may also include a tray 3 integral with the base of the truncated cone 4 and leaving free access to the opening 5. This plate 3 can be rectangular in shape which facilitates the positioning of several molds one next to the other in the case where several mounds 21 are performed simultaneously. It also serves as a support plane during the turning of the mold 1.
This mold 1 makes it possible to quickly produce a mound of earth 21. The mold 1 is filled with earth through the opening 5, it is turned over on the ground 22, then it is removed, thus leaving room for a mound 21 of earth which has the shape of the mold 1 and in particular the mound 21 has, at its top, a recess 24 produced by the surface 7 during the molding of the mound 21. In the step of filling the mold 1 the earth can be replaced by special potting soil or a soil fertilized according to the seedling which will then be planted in mound 21, in order to improve its development. This avoids having to treat the whole floor or the speed bump. The mold will preferably be made of plastic. Fig. 3 shows a mound cover 11 for protecting the mound 21. This mound cover 11 comprises a truncated cone 14 which forms the side walls of the mound cover 11; an upper surface 16 which forms the top of the mound cover 11. The mound cover 11 includes an opening 15, located at the base of the truncated cone 14, this opening allows the establishment of the mound cover 11 on the mound 21 The upper surface 16 is provided with an opening 17 which gives access to the recess 24 of the mound 21. The mound cover 11 may also include a plate 13 integral with the base of the truncated cone 14, and leaving free access to the opening 15, this plate 13 can be rectangular which facilitates the positioning of several mound covers next to each other in the case where several mounds 21 are produced simultaneously. The mound cover may also include holes 18 which allow the insertion of stakes 23 for fixing into the ground 22 in order to maintain it and prevent it from flying away under the effect of the wind. The mound cover 11a has a general external shape which corresponds to that of the mound 21 except as regards the recess 14. The mound cover will preferably be made of plastic. The mold 1 and the mound cover 11 are in the case of Figs. 2 and 3 overall volumes of revolution around the axis 2. The mold 1 is used to make a mound of earth 21 which is then covered by the mound cover 11 (Fig. 1). The mound cover 11 keeps the shape of the mound 21 and prevents it from flattening out due to bad weather, it also increases the heat in the mound 21 and prevents the fruits from being soiled by Earth. As described above, the mold 1 makes it possible to quickly produce an earth mound 21 which has at its top a recess 24 produced by the surface 7. During the step of removing the mold 1, the removal can be either total and then a step of fitting a mound cover 11 is necessary, that is to say partial, and in this case the fitting of a mound cover 11 is not necessary. Indeed in the case of a partial removal only the part corresponding to the surface 7 will be removed, recreating from the mold 1 the contours of the mound cover 1 1. The line of intersection 9 between the surface 7 and the surface of link 6 delimits the part corresponding to the surface 7 which will be removed. An opening 27 is thus created along the line of intersection 9 allowing access to the recess 24. After the production of the earth mound 21, a seedling and its root ball 20 are planted in the recess 24 through the opening 17 of the mound cover 11 in the case of a total removal of the mold 1, or through the opening 27 of the mold 1 in the case of a partial removal of the mold 1. The root ball 20 and the recess 24 have a complementary shape, in particular a half ellipsoid, in order to facilitate the placement of the clod 20 in the recess 24. The mound cover 11 pennet to create a clean surface, without soil, thus avoiding contact between the plant 25, from the seedling, and the earth from the mound 21 or the soil 22. The upper surface 16 has a downward slope from the truncated cone 14 to the opening 17 in order to promote the flow of water towards the roots of the seedling during watering or when it rains, thus promoting the development of plant 25. The upper surface 16 can be a truncated cone. Similarly, in order to keep the compatibility between the mold 1 and the mound cover 21, the connecting surface 6 has a downward slope from the truncated cone 4 to the surface 7, the connecting surface 6 can then be a truncated cone . Of course, the present invention is not limited to the examples and embodiments described and shown, but it is susceptible of numerous variants accessible to those skilled in the art. In particular the general shapes of the mold 1 and the mound cover 11, the truncated cones 4 and 14 can take any form of revolution or not.
