- FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate the problem that arises when wide forme cylinders 06 are used in known printing units 01 of the type described, when a wide paper web 09 of 150 cm in width or more is to be printed.

- the impression cylinder 07 can only be seen at its ends, since it is largely covered by the paper web 09 entering the impression gap formed by the impression cylinder 07 and forme cylinder 06.
- the inking roller 04 sags downward. Although this also applies to the forme cylinder 06, its sag is considerably less than that of the inking roller 04 because it has a much larger diameter and thus a higher rigidity. As a result of the sagging of the inking roller 04, a gap S is formed in the middle of the inking roller 04 between the inking roller 04 and the forme cylinder 06. In the area of the gap S, the inking roller 04 does not come into contact with the forme cylinder 06. Because of this, this occurs in this area also not to ink the printing form applied to the forme cylinder 06. Color dropouts in the finished product are the result.
- Fig. 3 shows a similar situation for a printing group 01 with a forme cylinder 06, which has a small diameter. Because of its own weight and because of the counter-pressure cylinder 07 pushing against it, the forme cylinder 06 now sags much more than the inking roller 04. In this case, gaps S are formed between the inking roller 04 and the forme cylinder 06 in their edge areas, while the inking roller 04 is in the middle the forme cylinder 06 is in contact. In the case shown in FIG. 3, the edge areas of the printing form applied to the forme cylinder 06 are therefore not inked, so that there are now color dropouts in the finished printed product in these areas.

- Fig. 4 is a plan view of such an inking unit 02. It shows a tub 03 and three inking rollers 12; 13; 14, which are rotatably mounted within the tub 03.

- the staggering of the inking rollers 12; 13; 14 along the width of the tub 03 is such that it proceeds from left to right with an increasing reference number, while the staggering along the length of the tub 03 is such that the inking rollers 12 and 14 are arranged on an axis and can be rotated about them is offset parallel to an axis about which the inking roller 13 rotates.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un système d'impression (01) comprenant un cylindre porte-clichés (06) et un mécanisme d'encrage (02). Ledit mécanisme d'encrage (02) comprend une cuve (03) recevant de l'encre liquide ou pâteuse et un rouleau d'encrage (12, 13, 14) pouvant tourner dans la cuve et s'étendant sur une première section de la largeur de la cuve (03) et du cylindre porte-clichés. Outre le premier rouleau d'encrage (12, 13, 14), il est prévu au moins un autre rouleau d'encrage qui s'étend sur une seconde section de la largeur du cylindre porte-clichés (06) et de la cuve (03).
