Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a machine housing, in particular a cylinder head for an internal combustion engine, with the features of the preamble of patent claim 1.
It is based on the European patent application EP 1 350 928 A2. In this a device for variable actuation of a lift valve of an internal combustion engine is described. This device is arranged in a machine housing, and consists in addition to other components at least a camshaft and a camshaft arranged in parallel to another shaft, an eccentric shaft for lifting height adjustment of the lift valve. The camshaft and the eccentric shaft are each rotatably mounted in the machine housing. A drag lever, which is provided for actuating a lift valve, is mounted on the one hand on a hydraulic base, a hydraulic clearance compensation element and on the other hand on the valve stem of a lift valve. The hydraulic base is supplied by a pressurized lubricant as well as the bearings of the camshaft and eccentric shaft.
A disadvantage of the described embodiment, the high structural complexity to supply all bearings with lubricant. As is well known to those skilled in the art, this is usually done via lubricant spray nozzles or through lubricant bores terminating in the bearings.
Object of the present invention is to show a simplified lubricant supply for the bearings of a generic machine housing.
This object is achieved in that the machine housing has a wall that emerges in the installed position of the machine housing from a bearing and / or spilled lubricant in the machine housing, wherein another bearing is at least partially disposed in the collected lubricant. The proposed embodiment, the manufacturing costs for a generic machine housing are reduced because the processing of lubricant holes or the use of additional lubricant spray nozzles deleted. Furthermore, the machine housing according to the invention has a reduced lubricant delivery requirement, whereby a smaller lubricant pump can be used. This also leads to lower production costs, and to a reduced fuel consumption of the internal combustion engine.
The embodiment of the invention is suitable in particular for largely parallel to the camshaft arranged waves according to claim 2. For this case, for example, the water emerging from the bearing of the camshaft lubricant can be collected in the geodetically lower trough. In addition, a part of the lubricant splashed during operation of the internal combustion engine, for example, by the cam of the camshaft in the trough is collected.
The proposed embodiment is particularly suitable for variable stroke valve trains with a stroke height adjustment by an eccentric shaft.

- Fig. 2
- shows a plan view of the machine housing according to the invention without a camshaft and without another shaft.
Fig. 1 shows the top view of a three-dimensionally illustrated engine housing 1 with a camshaft 2, in the present case, a cylinder head for an internal combustion engine. The view is directed to a dividing plane 1 'of a recognizable in Fig. 2 bearing 3 another
During operation of the internal combustion engine, the depression 6 in the present embodiment is filled up with lubricant sprayed by the valve drive and lubricant injection nozzles. In another embodiment, a further bearing can be arranged geodetically above the trough 6, in which case the trough 6 is additionally filled with lubricating lubricant exiting from this bearing and, depending on the structural design.
In the present embodiment, the
Fig. 2 shows the same structure of Fig. 1, but without camshaft 2 and without
Owing to the embodiment according to the invention, the manufacturing or manufacturing costs for a generic machine housing are reduced, since no lubricant bores or separate lubricant spray nozzles are necessary for the bearing 3 and / or the
