Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for changing the format of a device for cutting a corrugated web according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a method for format change in a slitting / creasing device in a corrugated board plant is known.
- a first group of longitudinal cutting tools and a second group of longitudinal cutting tools is provided, each consisting of a series of rotatably driven, individually disengageable knives.
- all knives of the first group of slitting tools are disengaged from the corrugated web except for a single one. Only the remaining in the corrugated web knife cuts a longitudinal section further into a format change range. Now this knife is disengaged.
- format change areas can result in considerable length.
- the broke piece When cutting out the format change area from the corrugated web, there is an additional problem.
- the broke piece often has a width of more than half the width of the corrugated web and is in one piece. Subsequently, however, corrugated sheets of much smaller width are stacked, so that the broke pieces often lead to errors in stacking the corrugated sheets.
- the invention has the object of developing the format change method described above in such a way that the disadvantages described are reduced.
- the object is achieved in a method having the features of claim 1.
- the essence of the invention is to produce by a first and a second group of slitting tools each at least three longitudinal sections, all overlapping each other and whose ends are connected in pairs by connecting cuts, so that four endless sub-webs, namely two endless edge strips and two further processing endless part-corrugated webs, arise.
- the length of the format change area along the transport direction is greatly reduced, so that the corrugated web can be used more efficiently overall.
- the reject pieces have a smaller width, so that the problems in stacking the corrugated sheets are considerably lower.
- a corrugated board 1 comprises a well-known corrugated board manufacturing machine for producing a corrugated web 2, which, for example, from EP 0 687 552 A (equivalent to U.S. Patent 5,632,850 ), of the DE 195 36 007 A (equivalent to GB 2,305,675 A ) or the DE 43 05 158 A1 is known, which is referred to in the details.
- the Corrugated Board Making Machine is located to the right of Fig. 1 and is not shown.
- the corrugated board 1 comprises along a transport direction 3 successively a longitudinal cutting / creasing unit 4 and this downstream of a cross-cutting device 5. It is also possible to arrange the cross-cutting device 5 in front of the longitudinal cutting / creasing unit 4 , Downstream of the cross-cutting device 5 is located in the region of both edges of the corrugated web 2 a edge strip-discharge unit 6 for discharging edge strips 7. Downstream of a switch 8 is provided for dividing the corrugated web 2 in two planes. Downstream of the switch 8, a cross-cutting unit 9 is provided with two partial cross-cutters 10 arranged one above the other. Immediately behind the cross-cutting unit 9, a conveyor belt 11 is arranged per sub-cross cutter 10, the cut corrugated sheets 12 each feeds a stack tray 13.
- the longitudinal cutting / creasing unit 4 has a first longitudinal cutting unit 14 and a downstream second longitudinal cutting unit 15.
- the longitudinal cutting units 14, 15 are preceded by a first scoring unit 16 and a second scoring unit 17.
- the longitudinal cutting units 14 and 15 have tool beds on which arranged on tool carriers, transversely to the transport direction 3 individually displaceable, rotating knife 18th are provided.
- the knives 18 are individually engageable with the corrugated web 2 and cooperate with rotationally driven brush rolls (not shown) disposed on the other side of the corrugated web 2 when the knives 18 are immersed in the corrugated web 2.
- the creasing units 16 and 17 each have two tool beds, which are arranged one above the other in a substantially mirror-symmetrical manner to the corrugated web 2.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show the cross cutting device 5 from Fig. 1 in detail.
- the cross-cutting device 5 has a housing 20 in which a roller 21 is rotatably driven about a perpendicular to the transport direction 3 extending axis of rotation 22 is mounted.
- the housing 20 is designed in such a way that the corrugated web 2 can be transported directly below the roller 21 by the cross-cutting device 5.
- a knife 24 is fixed, which extends radially outwards and perpendicular to the transport direction 3 over the entire width of the corrugated web 2 runs.
- Below the web of corrugated board 2 several support units 25 are arranged perpendicular to the transport direction 3 side by side.
- Each support unit 25 has a cutting support 26, also referred to as anvil, which is fastened to a piston rod 27 of a hydraulic cylinder 28.
- the cutting support 26 is displaceable by the hydraulic cylinder 28 along the transport direction 3.
- the cutting pads 26 can have all the same width or different widths perpendicular to the transport direction 3.
- the number of editions 26 corresponds to the required accuracy in the adjustment of the lengths of the cross sections to be generated. As a rule, the number of copies 26 is greater than in Fig. 3 shown.
- Each cutting pad 26 can be moved by means of the associated hydraulic cylinder 28 from a first position to a second position and vice versa.
- the cutting position 29 - is the cutting support 26 directly below the roller 21.
- the vertical distance of the roller 21 of the cutting support 26 is chosen such that the blade 24 during the rotation of the roller 21 the Cutting pad 26 almost touched, but the corrugated web 2 located therebetween completely cut.
- the vertical adjustment may also be selected so that the knife 24 contacts the cutting support 26.
- the second position - the non-cutting position 30 - the piston rod 27 of the hydraulic cylinder 28 is fully extended, so that the cutting support 26 is relative to the transport direction 3 in front.
- the edge strip removal unit 6 consists of in the region of the edges 31, 32 of the corrugated web 2 arranged discharge tables, which open into two downstream and below arranged collection containers 33.
- the switch 8 has a feed table 34 for transporting the corrugated web 2 and two superimposed discharge tables 35, 36 for transporting away the corrugated web 2 in two planes.
- a plurality of points elements 37 are provided, which are arranged side by side transversely to the transport direction 3 pivotally mounted on the feed table 34 and relative to the discharge tables 35 and 36 are pivotable in corresponding angular positions.
- the cross-cutting unit has two partial cross-cutters 10, which are arranged one above the other.
- Each sub-cross cutter 10 comprises two rotatably drivable, superimposed, perpendicular to the transport direction 3 extending transverse cutting rollers 38, each having a radially outwardly extending cross-cutting blade 39 for complete cross-section of a guided through them corrugated web to Cut the corrugated sheets.
- the production of two endless partial corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 has the advantage that with two different haul lengths H 21 and H 31 , that is, the distance between adjacent cross sections K can be worked because the partial corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 are guided by different partial cross cutter 10.
- the width of the strips S 11 , S 21 , S 31 , S 41 , S 51 transverse to the transport direction 3 is freely adjustable, that is, not all strips within a part-corrugated web B 2 or B 3 need to be the same width , Of particular importance, apart from the outer longitudinal sections L 11 and L 31 , which separate the edge strips 7, the inner longitudinal section L 21 , which separates the partial corrugated webs B 2 and B 3 from each other.
- the sequence of the format change will be described below with reference to the sequence of FIGS. 4 to 8b. It is assumed that the corrugated web 2 is cut by knife 18 of the first longitudinal cutting unit 14 prior to the format change, as shown in FIG Fig. 4 is shown. If a format change is to be carried out, the positions of the knives 18 of the second longitudinal cutting unit 15 are first calculated and the knives 18 moved to the corresponding transverse position. It is important here, which knife 18, the second inner longitudinal section L 22 , which separates the partial longitudinal webs B 2 , B 3 from each other, will cut. The distance of the first inner longitudinal section L 21 from the edge 31 is denoted by x 1 . The distance of the second inner longitudinal section L 22 is denoted by x 2 .
- x 1 ⁇ x 2 that is, the width of the endless part corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 changes during the format change.
- this is not mandatory.
- the width the tracks B 2 , B 3 remains the same and only the position of the longitudinal sections in the sub-webs changes.
- the difference between x 1 and x 2 results in an overlap area U, which, as in Fig. 5 shown extending from the right edge of x 2 to the right edge of x 1 .
- the overlapping area U is bounded on one side by a line lying on the first inner longitudinal section L 21 , and on the other side by a line lying on the second inner longitudinal section L 22 .
- the endless part corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 perpendicular to the transport direction 3. If the overlap area U is determined, it is checked whether one of the first longitudinal sections L 11 , L 21 , L 31 , L 41 , L 51 , L 61 in the overlapping area U, that is, has a distance from the edge 31 which lies between x 2 and x 1 . Im in Fig. 5 In the case shown, this is the longitudinal section L 51 .
- the knife or possibly the knives, which lie in the overlapping area U are disengaged from the corrugated web 2 shortly before the other knives of the longitudinal cutting unit 14. Following this, all the other knives which produce the longitudinal cuts L 11 , L 41 , L 21 , L 61 and L 31 are simultaneously disengaged, so that these cuts are longer than the cut L 51 .
- the longitudinal sections overlap in the transport direction 3 over a length of at least one meter, in particular at least 50 cm, in particular at least 20 cm, in particular at least 5 cm, in particular at least 1 cm, wherein an overlap of 20 cm is particularly advantageous.
- the third step is in Fig. 6 shown.
- the cross-cutting device 5 now three connecting cuts Q 1 , Q 2 and Q 3 are predetermined length and position attached.
- the position and length of the connection cuts is adjusted by which cutting pads 26 are in the cutting position 29. Longer cuts can be made by arranging several cutting pads 26 side by side in the cutting position 29.
- Fig. 6 are the connecting sections Q 1 , Q 2 and Q 3 at the same height, that is on a line. It is in principle possible for the connection cuts to be arranged at different longitudinal positions, that is to say offset in the transport direction 3 from one another.
- the connecting cut Q 1 joins the cuts L 11 and L 12 so that the endless edge strip B 1 is separated from the rest of the web of corrugated cardboard.
- connection section Q 3 which connects the cuts L 31 and L 32 in the region of the edge 32 with each other. Also, the connection section Q 3 is not enough up to the immediately adjacent edge 32, so that the edge strip B 4 remains endless during format change.
- the connecting section Q 2 connects the first inner longitudinal section L 21 to the second inner longitudinal section L 22 , whereby the endless partial corrugated board webs B 2 and B 3 are separated from each other.
- the partial corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 remain endless even after the format change, that is to say all the strips each have a partial corrugated web before the format change are connected in one piece with the strips of the respective part-corrugated web after the format change.
- the connecting sections Q 1 , Q 2 and Q 3 are perpendicular to the transport direction 3. They stand, as in Fig. 6 shown only slightly beyond the longitudinal sections to be joined, for example L 11 and L 12 transversely to the direction of transport, to ensure that the longitudinal sections are in fact interconnected. The more accurately the positioning of the slitting tools and cross-cutting tools is possible, the more the respective overhang can be reduced to almost zero.
- connection cuts Q 1 , Q 2 and Q 3 would be attached at predetermined positions. Following this, the first longitudinal sections and the second longitudinal sections would be attached. Also, the terms of disengaging the first longitudinal cutting unit 14 and engaging the second longitudinal cutting unit 15 are understood to mean that the generated longitudinal cuts just overlap. Depending on the geometry and control of the knives in the slitting units, this may be necessary, earlier or earlier to drive later. It depends on the geometric sequence of the generated longitudinal sections.
- FIG. 7a and 7b the fourth processing step is shown.
- the two endless partial corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 are discharged after the removal of the edge strips B 1 , B 4 in the switch 8 in two different levels.
- the upwardly removed web B 2 is in Fig. 7a shown.
- the downwardly led web B 3 is in Fig. 7b shown. It can be seen once again that the partial corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 are endless.
- the endless partial corrugated webs B2, B3 are fed to the partial cross-cutters 10.
- the partial cross cutter 10 bring on the partial corrugated webs B 2 , B 3 over the full width of the same extending cross-sections K, the length of the hull, that is, the distance between adjacent cross-sections K is free adjustable.
- the trimming of the web B 3 is based on Fig. 8b described.
- the length of the hull that is to say the spacing of adjacent cross sections K, is set so that the last cross section K L3 is before the connecting cuts Q 2 and Q 3 is arranged to lie immediately before the start of the second longitudinal cuts, in this case L 62 and L 32 .
- the entire corrugated board can be used up to the format change area.
- the corrugated web is not usable across the entire width from the disengagement of all longitudinal cutting tools except one. This is not the case with the solution according to the invention.
- the corrugated board until the beginning of the second longitudinal cuts L 62 , L 32 is available.
- the gain in corrugated cardboard compared to the EP 0 894 583 B 1 you can recognize by the last cross-section K L2 in the web B 2 , which is explained in more detail below, extended into the web B 3 .
- the entire area between K L2 and K L3 has been added, again pointing out that due to the high speed of the corrugated web, the format change area can extend over a considerable length. If it was not necessary during the format change to engage a knife late because there was none in the overlapping area U, the entire corrugated board can be used after the end of the first longitudinal cuts L 21 , L 61 and L 31 .
- the first cross section K E3 after the connecting cuts Q 2 , Q 3 could be applied here and also the entire cardboard beyond ends of the first longitudinal cuts would be usable.
- the first cross section K E3 is set at the level of the beginning of the section L 52 , whereby the loss range is minimized.
- the corrugated sheets designated by the reference symbols A 1 and A 2 are rejects.
- the committee is cut in the format change area and thus narrower. He is thus much easier to handle.
- the sequence of cuts on the web B 2 is in FIG Fig. 8a exactly reversed.
- the last cross-section K L2 is attached at the end of short longitudinal section L 51 , whereby rejects A 1 and A 2 are formed, which are separated from each other.
- the first cross-section K E2 beyond the connecting cuts Q 1 , Q 2 is attached to the end of the longitudinal cuts L 11 and L 41 .
- the corrugated board can be used to its full extent.
- the gain in corrugated web results again by lengthening the cut K E3 of Fig. 8b in Fig. 8a , ie the area between K E2 and K E3 .
- the corresponding section is either completed before the first longitudinal sections or started after the second longitudinal sections, depending on its location.
