Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fuel injection valve according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for assembling a fuel injection valve according to claim 8.
  • the US 5,356,079 describes a filter retaining assembly with a flat or cup-shaped filter medium which is held on an annular mounting frame, preferably of fuel-tolerant plastic.
  • the mounting frame has a nose circumferentially and surrounds the inlet end of the fuel inlet nozzle.
  • the nose in the mounting frame snaps into a circumferential groove on the outer edge of the Brennscherinlivesstutzens and thus fixes the Filter medium at the fuel inlet port.
  • a similar filter holder for a cup-shaped filter medium is also off US 2003/0155447 known.
  • a fuel injector in which a fuel filter is made in one piece with a retaining collar.
  • the retaining collar extends radially beyond the fuel inlet port and has a nose outside of the fuel inlet port.
  • the circumferential nose of the retaining collar forms, together with a groove on the outer circumference of the fuel inlet nozzle a latching connection, by which the fuel filter is fixed defined.
  • a disadvantage of the from the DE 43 25 842 A1 known fuel injection valve is in particular the high production costs incurred for fixing the filter either on the adjusting sleeve or on the fuel inlet. Furthermore, filters and adjusting sleeve made of different materials, which occur at the contact surfaces mainly on the plastic of the filter Abspanungen and abrasion, which can lead to malfunction of the fuel injection valve by the deposition of the particles.
  • the fuel injection valve according to the invention with the features of claim 1 and the inventive method for mounting a fuel injection valve with the features of claim 7 have the advantage of a fast and cost-effective production and assembly and a chip-free and reliable fixation of the filter element in the fuel injection valve.
  • the filter element is pressed with an outer contour of a support tube of the fuel injection valve wherein the press fit of the filter element is effected by the mounting of an extension sleeve whose inner diameter is slightly smaller than an outer diameter of the filter element.
  • the outer contour of the support tube has grooves, in which a Glasmaschinebuchstoffum mousseung the filter element is pressed under pressure.
  • a further advantage is that the grooves can be introduced in a simple manner by turning or by means of a forming steel in the support tube.
  • the filter element is advantageously pot-shaped as conventional filter elements produced from a fabric material and a Glasmaschinebuchstoffum mousseung.
  • Fig. 1 shows for better understanding of the inventive measures first in a sectional, schematic sectional view of a longitudinal section through a fuel injection valve 1 according to the prior art, which is particularly suitable for injecting fuel into a suction pipe of an internal combustion engine, not shown.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 comprises a magnetic coil 2 which is wound on a bobbin 3.
  • the bobbin 3 is encapsulated in a valve housing 4 and closed by a cover 5.
  • a contact lug 6 is formed at the bobbin 3.
  • the bobbin 3 is penetrated by a valve sleeve 7, which is designed tubular and comprises therein a spread or welded support tube 8, which serves as the inner pole of the magnetic coil 2.
  • a valve sleeve 7 As the outer pole of the solenoid coil 2, for example, the valve housing 4 serve.
  • an armature 9 is arranged, which is formed integrally with a valve needle 10.
  • through-flow openings 11 are provided, which guide the fuel injector 1 flowing through the fuel to a sealing seat.
  • a ring filter 12 may be arranged for filtering the fuel.
  • the valve needle 10 is preferably by welding in operative connection with a spherical valve closure member 13 in the embodiment, which forms a sealing seat with a valve seat body 14. Downstream of the sealing seat, at least one spray-discharge opening 15 is formed in a spray-disk 34, from which the fuel is injected into the suction pipe (not shown).
  • the armature 9 is in the idle state of the fuel injection valve 1 by a return spring 16 so acted upon, that the fuel injection valve 1 is kept closed by the pressure of the valve closing body 13 on the valve seat body 14.
  • the return spring 16 is arranged in a recess 17 of the armature 9 and the support tube 8 and is brought by an adjusting sleeve 18 to bias.
  • a cup-shaped filter element 19 is preferably pressed into the valve sleeve 7.
  • the filter element 19 is provided with a brass ring 20, which allows a secure hold of the filter element 19 in the fuel injector 1.
  • the fuel which is supplied through a central fuel supply 22, flows through the fuel injection valve 1 through the recess 17 and the throughflow openings 11 to the sealing seat and to the injection opening 15.
  • Fig. 1B shows in an excerpted sectional view the in Fig. 1A with IB designated section of the in Fig. 1A shown fuel injector 1.
  • the same components are provided with matching reference numerals. A repetitive description of already known components can be dispensed with.
  • the filter element 19 is cup-shaped and consists of a filter 21, which preferably consists of a fabric material 24, and a brass ring 20 for fixing the filter element 19 in the fuel injector 1.
  • a filter 21 which preferably consists of a fabric material 24, and a brass ring 20 for fixing the filter element 19 in the fuel injector 1.
  • the brass ring 20 is preferably designed as a deep-drawn part. The brass ring 20 and the complex sealing of the injection mold cause high production costs of the filter element 19 with the brass ring 20th
  • Fig. 2A shows a schematic sectional view of an embodiment of a filter element 19, which is suitable for equipping a fuel injection valve 1 designed according to the invention.
  • the filter element 19 is cup-shaped similar to the known filter elements 19. It consists of a fabric material 24 which is provided with a fiberglass extrusion coating 25.
  • the assembly of the filter element 19 is carried out according to the invention, as in Fig. 2B shown on the inner pole serving as support tube 8 of the fuel injection valve 1.
  • Fig. 2B shown on the inner pole serving as support tube 8 of the fuel injection valve 1.
  • At an inflow end 26 of the support tube 8 are grooves 27 provided in an outer contour 28 of the support tube 8, which can be produced for example by means of turning or by a mild steel in a simple manner.
  • the filter element 19 is attached to these grooves 27 in the area of the glass fiber plastic extrusion coating 25.
  • the filter element 19 is supported on a shoulder 29 of the support tube 8.
  • the plugged-on filter element 19 has a slightly larger diameter than the support tube 8.
  • an extension sleeve 30, which serves, for example, the connection to a fuel distributor not shown, the outer diameter of the filter element 19 is calibrated to the inner diameter of the extension sleeve 30, which is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the filter element 19.
  • the filter element 19 is pressed into the grooves 27 of the support tube 8 in the region of the fiberglass extrusion coating 25.
  • a secure hold of the filter element in the fuel injection valve 1 is ensured even with strong temperature fluctuations.
  • the fuel injection valve 1 can be produced by the measures according to the invention in a simple manner by the elimination of the brass ring 20 cheaper without increasing the cost of other components.
  • the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment and suitable for any construction of fuel injectors 1, z. B. for fuel injection valves 1 for direct injection or fuel injectors 1 with connection to a common rail system.
