Description

The invention relates to a packaging container made of plastic, in particular at its upper end closable bag, bag or the like., With a arranged within the contour of the container carrying handle according to the preamble of claim 1.
In a known packaging container of the type mentioned, a corner region is divided from the interior by a heat-sealing seam in which a handle opening is recessed. Such a design reduces the filling space of the packaging container and limits the possible arrangements of the carrying handle on corner regions, so that the carrying handle does not hinder the filling and Entlehrung of the packaging container.

In the case of bags made of multilayer material which are open at the top, it is known to provide grip loops which project beyond the upper edge of the container and are fastened with their attachment ends between layers of the container walls in the upper edge region. Such a design of handles affects the handling of the bag because of the protruding handle loops. The applicability is otherwise limited to bag or bag designs that have no closure means at the top.

In the case of valve bags, it is known to provide a carrying handle on the bottom of the bag which comprises a base sheet carrying a grip tape. Such a carrying handle design is unsuitable for containers which are closable at their upper edge after filling and are provided, for example, at the top with a Randverschlußvorrichtung for reclosing.
A generic packaging container is from the EP-A-0 900 741 known. The invention is concerned with the problem to provide a packaging container of the type mentioned above with a carrying handle, which is easy to install, allows carrying the container in a stand-like orientation and leaves the upper edge region of the container for closure and reclosing devices free.

The invention solves the problem by a packaging container with the features of claim 1. With regard to significant further embodiments, reference is made to the claims 2 to 7.

In the container according to the invention, the grip band forms a functional part extending along the side wall of the container which is optically inconspicuous, allows convenient carrying of the container and leaves the head region of the container free for closures and reclosures. In this case, the carrying handle is easy to install attachable. When attaching the grip band on the inside of the side wall of the packaging container of the carrying handle is optically particularly inconspicuous. If the access opening to the handle initially still closed and exposed only by tearing a vorperforierten wall area, the carrying handle can be completely hidden even up to its use, so that the design of the outer surface of the container side wall can be done free from consideration for the carrying handle.

The Fig. 1 Figure 3 illustrates, in a fragmentary view, a side wall portion of a prior art container which is conveniently located near the top of the container. The container formed from plastic film is preferably formed as a flat or side gusseted bag and equipped with a flat or mold bottom. Preferably, the container has at its upper edge a closure device for resealing the container after removal of a subset of contents.

On the observer facing the front side 1 (or back) of the container, which may also be designed as a sack, a grip band 2 is attached, which is connected in the region of its two ends to the container wall 1, glued or sealed depending on the material. If the container foil, as preferred, is made of a polyester (PET) at least on the outside, the grip band 2 is adhesively bonded by means of an adhesive 3. In practice, the grip tape 2 is flush on the outside of the container wall 1, but can be lifted for support purposes in the region of the handle loop portion 4 of the outer surface of the container wall 1.

In the embodiment according to the invention Fig. 3 the grip band 2 is mounted on the inside of the container wall 1 and accessible from outside through an adapted access opening 5 in the container wall 1. In this case, the grip band 2 is mounted on a carrier sheet 6 made of plastic, which engages behind the grip band 2 on the back and is also connected to the container wall 1. Preferably, the carrier sheet 6 is continuously connected along its outer edges with the inside of the container wall 1, so that in this way the access opening 5 is closed to the filling space of the container.

The carrier sheet 6 is expediently made of thermoplastic film, which can be glued to the handle belt 2 continuously, but in the region of the handle loop portion 4 of the grip 2, the adhesive force is reduced so much by a deposited on the carrier sheet 6 release coating that the handle loop part 4 without difficulty can be detached from the carrier sheet 6. Only in the two end regions does the adhesive 3 each produce a firm connection. In a preferred embodiment of the container made of a plastic composite film with an inner layer of heat-sealable thermoplastic material, in particular polyethylene (PE), and with an outer layer of polyester (PET), the carrier sheet 6 is preferably connected to the inner layer of the container wall 1 by heat sealing, such as which is symbolized by the hatched heat seal seam 7.

The grip band 2 can in turn consist of thermoplastic plastic film or a composite film of thermoplastic material and a polyester. Therefore, it is also possible to connect the carrier sheet 6 and the grip band 2 by heat sealing together.

In the execution of the carrying handle to Fig. 3 the grip loop part 4 of the grip band 2 is visible through the access opening 5 which is matched in its dimensions to the grip loop part 4 of the grip band 2 and, if necessary, can be grasped for carrying purposes.

In the execution after Fig. 4 the access opening 5 is prepared for the grip band 2 in the container wall 1 by a perforation 8 and only by tearing out of the surrounded by the perforation 8 wall portion 9 can be released. In order to facilitate the detection of the wall region 9 to be cut out, an engagement opening 10 can be provided which is punched out when the perforation line 8 is attached.

Accordingly, how is this FIGS. 5 and 6 let the handle 2 completely hidden behind the container wall 1 until the area surrounded by the perforation 8 wall portion 9 is removed by tearing and the access opening 5 is exposed. The grip band 2 is firmly connected to the carrier sheet 6 in this embodiment by adhesive 3 in the end regions.

In the execution after FIGS. 5 and 6 the carrier sheet 6 is connected to the inside of the container wall 1, for example by gluing, as the gluing areas 12 symbolize.

It should be noted in conclusion that the representation of the container in the drawing reflects the actual facts only schematically. In particular, the thickness dimensions of the films and the adhesive areas are greatly increased for reasons of clarity. They move in the case of practical containers in the micron range.
