Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel injection valve according to the preamble of the main claim.
- a fuel injection valve which is surrounded by a magnet coil core, an armature by a cooperating with a fixed valve seat valve closing body by means of a welded to the anchor connecting pipe, with a tubular intermediate metal part, which faces with its one end to the armature End of the core and is sealed at its other end to a tubular connecting part by welding, and at least one of the magnetic coil spanning bow-shaped guide element, which is connected with its valve closing body end facing the connecting part and at its other end to the core by welding wherein the welding of two overlapping components of the fuel injection valve takes place in a cross-sectional reduction of one of the two parts to be welded.
- a disadvantage of the fuel injection valve known from the above publications is in particular that the preparation of the connections between the individual components of the fuel injection valve complicated and thus time consuming and costly. Furthermore, the welded areas are thermally stressed and thereby lose their strength and flexural rigidity, which can lead to significant resonances due to differently strong housing parts and associated noise during operation of the fuel injection valve.
- EP-A-1 219 825 discloses a fuel injector extending along a longitudinal axis between a first injector end and a second injector end and including a valve assembly and a flow group assembly.
- the valve group assembly performs fluid transport functions, and the stream group assembly performs electrical functions.
- the valve set assembly further includes a tube assembly extending along a longitudinal axis of the valve between a first tube assembly end and a second tube assembly end.
- the tube assembly includes an inlet tube, a non-magnetic cup and a valve body, the valve body being formed with a wall thickness continuously decreasing toward the downstream end of the valve.
- a fuel injector is provided whose size and weight is reduced over conventional fuel injectors.
- a thin-walled non-magnetic sleeve is provided as a connecting part between a core and a valve seat body in the fuel injection valve, wherein the non-magnetic sleeve also fulfills holding, support and carrier functions.
- the sleeve has a stepped cross-section adapted to the components received therein. Therefore, the upper one is Sleeve portion which carries the anchor, provided with a slightly larger diameter than the lower sleeve portion.
- EP-A-1 170 501 A fuel injector is described, wherein the valve is supported by a valve seat base and a cylindrical body formed with in three sections of different diameters along its longitudinal extent, which are adapted to correspond to the outer contour of the stationary core ,
- the fuel injection valve according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the wall thickness of the valve sleeve of the fuel injection valve varies. It is thereby adapted to the respective requirements in the various areas. Resonances are damped, which also dampens the noise. The stability of the valve sleeve and the saturation behavior of the magnetic field in the working air gap are not affected.
- the wall thickness decreases in a downstream direction of the fuel, so that stability is still present in the parts relevant for the support.
- valve sleeve in the range of smaller wall thickness in diameter tapers, making the fuel injector more compact and lighter.
- the fuel supply line to the sealing seat inlet pipe can be integrally formed with the valve sleeve, so that the Fuel injector also can be made more compact and shorter.
- Fig. 1 shows a schematic sectional view of a longitudinal section through an embodiment of an inventively designed fuel injector 1, which is particularly suitable for injecting fuel into a not-shown suction manifold of an internal combustion engine.
- the fuel injection valve 1 comprises a magnetic coil 2 which is wound on a bobbin 3.
- the bobbin 3 is encapsulated in a pot-shaped valve housing 4.
- the bobbin 3 is penetrated by a valve sleeve 5, which is designed tubular and varies according to the invention in their material thickness. The measures according to the invention will be described in more detail below.
- a spread in the valve sleeve 5 or welded support tube 6 can serve as the inner pole of the solenoid 2.
- the valve housing 4 serve as the outer pole of the solenoid coil 2, for example.
- Outflow side of the support tube 6 is arranged an armature 7, which is integrally formed with a valve needle 8.
- armature 7 In the valve needle 8 through-flow openings 9 are provided which guide the fuel injector 1 flowing through the fuel to a sealing seat.
- the valve needle 8 is preferably by welding in operative connection with a spherical valve closure member 10 in the embodiment, which forms a sealing seat with a valve seat body 11. Downstream of the sealing seat, at least one spray-discharge opening 13 is formed in a spray-disk 12, from which the fuel is injected into the suction pipe (not shown).
- the armature 7 is acted upon in the idle state of the fuel injection valve 1 by a return spring 14 so that the fuel injection valve 1 is kept closed by the pressure of the valve closing body 10 on the valve seat body 11.
- the return spring 14 is arranged in a recess 15 of the armature 7 or the support tube 6 and is brought by an adjusting sleeve 16 to bias.
- a cup-shaped filter element 17 is preferably pressed into the valve sleeve 5.
- the fuel which is supplied via a central fuel supply 18, flows through the fuel injection valve 1 through a supply pipe 24, the recess 15 and the throughflow openings 9 to the sealing seat and to the injection opening 13.
- the fuel injection valve 1 For mounting on a fuel distributor line, not shown, the fuel injection valve 1 is provided in the region of the central fuel supply 18 with a seal 19. Another seal 20 seals the connection, not shown, between the fuel injection valve 1 and the intake manifold.
- the solenoid coil 2 is energized via a line from an electrical current which can be supplied via an electrical plug contact 21.
- the plug contact 21 is of a Surround plastic casing 22, which may be molded onto the valve sleeve 5 and the supply pipe 24.
- the fuel injection valve 1 is closed as soon as the magnetic coil 2 exciting current is turned off and the magnetic field is reduced so far that the return spring 14 pushes the armature 7 from the support tube 6, whereby the valve needle 8 moves in the outflow direction and the valve closing body 10 touches on the valve seat body 11 ,
- Fuel injectors tend to interfere with noise due to bending vibrations during operation. This is due to the shape of the valve sleeve 5, which on the one hand has a support function, but on the other hand, must be thin enough from the material thickness to allow a satisfactory structure of the magnetic field in the working air gap.
- the valve sleeve 5 is designed tubular and varies according to the invention in its wall thickness to curb the noise emission.
- a supply-side region 25, in which the supply pipe 24 is inserted more than a downstream-side region 26 is formed.
- the wall thickness of the valve sleeve 5 is included about 0.5 mm, while the downstream region has a wall thickness of about 0.3 mm.
- the cross section of the valve sleeve 5 is variable. In the thicker area 25, the cross section is larger, which leads to a higher stability of the valve sleeve 5, in the weaker material region 26, the cross section is smaller.
- valve sleeve 5 takes place on a collar 27, which separates both the material-rich and material-weak as well as the different areas in cross-section.

Description
- In
- In
