Definitions

  • Radio remote control for issuing commands to a remote-controlled device
  • the invention relates to a radio remote control for issuing commands to a remotely controllable device in a wireless way, in which an assignment mode can run before start-up, with a transmitter / receiver unit, a controller and with at least one antenna.
  • Remote controls or remote controls particularly for industrial and agricultural devices, have to meet particularly high security requirements.
  • the remote controls mostly use a common radio standard, such as. B. Bluetooth, with ranges of up to 100 m depending on the performance class.
  • this object is achieved in that after triggering the assignment mode by the user, the radio range of the remote control is reduced to such an extent that communication is only possible with a device located directly on the remote control and a return to the standard range only takes place after the assignment has been completed.
  • the solution according to the invention is characterized in that it is particularly simple and is optimally adapted to the actual conditions in industry and agriculture.
  • the assignment process can be triggered, for example, by pressing just one key. B. with the remote control located directly on the device, the assignment is made.

Furthermore, it can only be recognized by a current or impedance measurement on the part of the device that a remote control is available. When measuring e.g. 3, identification is also possible. Furthermore, data such as a key, a PIN etc. can be exchanged via the transformer interface TRA. However, a radio mode can also be initialized, which, for. B. with Bluetooth assigning the radio identifiers of the remote control FEB and device GER. At the same time, an adjustment of the Parameters of the remote control to the type of device to be operated or the transfer of operating parameters to the remote control. • the actual operation of the device GER is preferably carried out by radio using the remote control that is usually held in the hand of an operating person, whereby usually a few input keys TAS on a keypad are sufficient. Several or even just one of these keys can be used with the remote control docked to start the sequence of the assignment mode, so that no complicated entries via alphanumeric keypads are necessary. The data exchange required for the assignment then runs automatically.

Asp) Only when the assignment has been completed will there be a return to the standard range so that the remote control can then be used for its purpose.
  • the radio range can be reduced very simply by reducing the transmission power, namely to a minimum power which, when the FEB remote control is docked, is sufficient for data transmission to usually only a few cm. Accidental communication with third-party devices or "eavesdropping" is hardly possible.
  • the range can also be reduced by reducing the receiver sensitivity of the GER device, which reduces the risk of interference from other devices. The same applies to a reduction in the range by interfering with the antenna function, in many cases a combination of the measures mentioned can be expedient, in particular a reduction in the transmission power on the one hand and the receiver sensitivity on the other. It should be clear that all measures to reduce the range can be carried out on the part of the remote control and / or the device.
  • FIG. 4 For an explanation of a possible initialization process, reference is made to FIG. 4, in which such a process is shown, starting with the docking.

  • part of the information exchange can also take place via the inductive interface TRA, in particular at the beginning or at the end of the entire assignment process.
