Definitions
- the invention relates to a shower according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a shower of this type is known in the art from the CH 646 499 known.
- This shower is a water outlet fitting for switching from jet to shower. It has a valve seat for a jet outlet and an effervescent outlet.
- the closure body has a Umstellkolben with an O-ring. By turning a knob a shower outlet can be kept open.
- the shower head can be made particularly simple and inexpensive.
- This sealant is preferably used sealingly in a sleeve-shaped part of the shower insert.
- the rubber-elastic sealant thus has a double function and thus serves as a valve seat and also for sealing the shower insert.
- the showerhead can be made particularly simple and constitution importancestig.
- This sealant is preferably used sealingly in a sleeve-shaped part of the shower insert.
- the rubber-elastic sealant thus has a double function and thus serves as a valve seat and zudern for sealing the shower insert.
- a closure of the valve with a comparatively small spring force is particularly reliable possible if a rubber-elastic and radially outwardly projecting sealing means is disc-shaped on the outside of the closure body.
- the sealant is then particularly flexible due to its shape and can close the Ventilöfnung with comparatively small spring force.
- the rubber-elastic and radially outwardly projecting sealing means has a hardness of 50-80 Shore, preferably 60-70 Shore and more preferably about 70 Shore.
- the closure body has a lower sealing surface which cooperates with the second and lower valve seat and which is formed by a comparatively hard material. This allows a particularly small height of the head can be achieved. The valve still closes reliably in both positions.
- the shower head has a sleeve which can be placed on a shaft of the housing, then a particularly advantageous modular construction can be achieved.
- a releasably latchable actuating means is provided.
- This actuating means is for example and preferably a button, which is arranged in an opening of the sleeve.
- the housing can be finished with the valve and the shower insert and tested in all functions. Subsequently, we put on the desired sleeve and finally at most the actuator or the button is placed or snapped. This results in a cheap storage easy installation and delivery.
- the sleeve on an underside has an opening into which an extension of the housing protrudes, an effective impact protection can be achieved.
- This approach preferably projects slightly beyond the outside of the sleeve. When you hit the shower, for example, on an edge of a pan, the sleeve is not damaged.
- the approach is preferably a strip-shaped web and said opening of the sleeve is preferably open at the front. The sleeve can thus also be pushed onto the shaft of the housing.
- shower 1 shown has a housing 2, which is preferably made in one piece from a plastic by injection molding.
- the housing 2 has a wall 23, which essentially forms a head K, on which a shaft 32 is formed, which forms a handle G with a sleeve 5.
- the shaft 32 has at one end a water connection part, such as a thread 3 for the connection of the showerhead 1, for example to a flexible hose which is connected to a water supply line.
- a channel 10 Through the shaft 32 is a channel 10, which leads at an opening 11 in the head K.
- the head K has on the inside a sleeve-shaped guide member 14 which is open to the mouth 11 and in which a closure body 16 of a change-over valve is displaceably mounted.
- the guide member 14 has an upper opening 35 which forms a first valve seat 12.
- a rubber-elastic ring or disk-shaped sealant 13 to this valve seat 12 at.
- the contact pressure is formed by a spiral spring 21 which is supported at one end on the closure body 16 and at the other end on a perlator 27 known per se.
- the sealing means 13 protrudes radially and is designed like a wing.
- the sealant 13 is seen axially flexible and made of a relatively flexible plastic.
- the plastic is, for example and preferably, EPDM and has a hardness of 50-80 Shore, preferably 60-70 Shore and more preferably about 70 Shore. Due to the aforementioned shape and the high elasticity can be achieved with the sealing means 13, a sufficient tightness even if the valve seat 12 has a comparatively small diameter and at the same time the spring 21 is comparatively weak. This allows a particularly small design of the head K.
- the closure body 16 has a front side 19, which forms a seal and which cooperates with a second valve seat 20, which is formed by an annular sealing means 22.
- This sealing means 22 abuts against a lower edge of the sleeve-shaped guide part 14.
- the sealant 22 is preferably integrally formed and has a hardness of 10-80 Shore, preferably 60-70 Shore, and more preferably about 70 Shore.
- the sealant 22 is also made of EPDM, for example.
- the sealing means 22 also abuts against the piller 27 and seals it against the housing 2 and against a shower insert 24.
- the closure body 23 is moved downwards by a pressure on a plate-shaped button 15 or another suitable actuating means, then the closure body 16 or the surface 19 moves against the retroactive force of the spring 21 against the second valve seat 20. If the surface 19 lies on the second valve seat 20, so a passage 36 is closed, which leads to the aerator 27.
- the tightness is ensured on the one hand by the rubber-elastic sealing means 22 and the comparatively hard closure body 16.
- the closure body 16 is in the lower position, the water flows through the mouth 11 in the guide member 14 and through the opening 35 in a space 37. From this, the water passes through nozzle openings 26 to the outside.
- the shower insert or insert 24 thus has first and second means for beam formation.
- the first means are the nozzles 26 and the second means of the aerator 27.
- the known perlator 27 is inserted from above into the shower insert 24 and can be cleaned or replaced with the insert 24 removed.
- an aerator 27 or another suitable beam-forming agent is conceivable, which is inserted from below into the shower insert 24, for example screwed in.
- the insert 24 is inserted into the head K with a bayonet closure, not shown here, or another suitable closure, for example a conventional thread.
- sealing means 25 are provided.
- the sleeve 5 has a finished or optical outer surface as chromed.
- the sleeve is releasably pushed onto the shaft 32. It has at a front end a ring 29 with an annular surface 9 and a preferably circular opening 6, in which the key 15 passes through or is used.
- the button 15 has locking means 17 or other suitable connection means with which the button 15 is detachably connected to the closure body 16. Below the annular surface 19 locking means 7 are integrally formed on the inside of the sleeve 5, which cooperate with corresponding locking means 33 of the housing 2. The locking means 7 and 33 are formed so that the sleeve 5 can be pushed with the button 15 removed on the housing 2 and the shaft 32 and removed after removing the button 15 again.
- the sleeve has on its underside an elongated and open at the front opening 8, in which a corresponding projection 28 protrudes.
- This projection 28 projects beyond the opening 8 with a strip-shaped surface 18, preferably somewhat up to 2 mm, as shown in FIG Fig. 1 shown with about 0.5 mm.
- the Fig. 2 also shows the arrangement of the projection 28 with respect to the handle G.
- the web-like projection 28 forms a shock protection. If the showerhead 1, for example, pitched with the bottom on an edge of a pan, the sleeve 5 is not damaged in this case. However, the plastic-made lug 28 can accommodate such impact without further damage.
- a formed on the housing 2 cam 31 ( Fig. 2 ) prevents twisting of the sleeve. 5
- the head K has a comparatively small outer diameter and a comparatively small height.
- An outer side 30 of the head K is substantially conical and easily visible.
- the head K essentially does not overhang the handle at the top.
- Above at the top is here only the button 15, which is operated here, for example with a thumb.
- the height of the head K including the button 15 and the shower insert 24 is preferably less than 56 mm, preferably less than 40 mm.
- the example shows a head K with approx. 37 cm 3 volume and approx. 43 mm height.
- the height of the head K including the button 15 and the shower insert 24 is preferably less than 50 mm, preferably less than 45 mm.
- the head K is like in the FIGS.
- the shower according to the invention consists of comparatively few and robust individual parts.
- the shower can be made particularly inexpensive and is particularly favorable in terms of manufacturing in terms of said modular structure in the storage and installation.
- the showerhead 1 can be tested before pushing the sleeve 5 in all its functions. By manufacturing the housing 2 and the sleeve 5 in different colors, surface structures and / or materials, the appearance can be varied in a simple and varied manner.

The said showers have proven themselves in practice. Nevertheless, the inventor has set himself the task of improving a shower of the type mentioned even further. In particular, the shower according to the invention should be more handy and cheaper to produce, and allow a particularly attractive design.
The problem is solved according to
A closure of the valve with a comparatively small spring force is particularly reliable possible if a rubber-elastic and radially outwardly projecting sealing means is disc-shaped on the outside of the closure body. The sealant is then particularly flexible due to its shape and can close the Ventilöfnung with comparatively small spring force.
A particularly high tightness results when, according to a development of the invention, the rubber-elastic and radially outwardly projecting sealing means has a hardness of 50-80 Shore, preferably 60-70 Shore and more preferably about 70 Shore.
According to the invention, the closure body has a lower sealing surface which cooperates with the second and lower valve seat and which is formed by a comparatively hard material. This allows a particularly small height of the head can be achieved. The valve still closes reliably in both positions.
If the shower head has a sleeve which can be placed on a shaft of the housing, then a particularly advantageous modular construction can be achieved. Preferably, it is provided here that a releasably latchable actuating means is provided. This actuating means is for example and preferably a button, which is arranged in an opening of the sleeve. During assembly, the housing can be finished with the valve and the shower insert and tested in all functions. Subsequently, we put on the desired sleeve and finally at most the actuator or the button is placed or snapped. This results in a cheap storage easy installation and delivery.
If the sleeve on an underside has an opening into which an extension of the housing protrudes, an effective impact protection can be achieved. This approach preferably projects slightly beyond the outside of the sleeve. When you hit the shower, for example, on an edge of a pan, the sleeve is not damaged. The approach is preferably a strip-shaped web and said opening of the sleeve is preferably open at the front. The sleeve can thus also be pushed onto the shaft of the housing.
