Description

The present invention relates to a composite package consisting of a container made of cardboard or other semi-rigid material and a bag, generally made of plastic material, integral with the container. Such a packaging is intended for the transport of hazardous materials such as hospital waste but can also be used for the transport of other products including pulverulent or pasty in the chemical industry for example.

Packaging of this type is designed to ensure the handling of products and their transport in the best safety conditions for operators and the environment. In particular, in the field of hospital waste, the regulation imposes structural constraints to prevent contact with the waste contained in the bag at the time of closure of the container.

Composite packagings consisting of a cardboard container of rectangular parallelepiped shape, within which a bag made of material adapted to the nature of the products it is to contain are known. It may be a plastic bag or resistant paper. The bag is attached to the inner walls of the container; its mouth coincides with the filling opening in the container. In general, means are provided for maintaining the bag in the open position during the filling phase. The walls of the bag are for example fixed in their upper part to the inner walls of the container or they are folded overflowing outside the body.

Such a package, which includes all the features of the preamble of claim 1, is known from the document FR 2,684,360 .

Elle est exposée dans la demande FR 0302920 .According to the known packages, for the final closure is first of all the closing of the bag and then that of the container. For example one uses a link associated with the bag with which one surrounds and squeezes the upper end of the bag. A known connection consists of a ribbon that is taken from the container, for example a ribbon of the type used as a tear tape in the field of the cardboard packaging. Once the bag closed, we flap shutters that are locked by mechanical means. Packaging, in the case of hospital waste, is then incinerated. The Applicant has developed a solution to reduce the risk of contact at the time of final closure. It is exposed in the application FR 0302920 .

The Applicant has now set itself the goal of designing a packaging of this type that meets the safety requirements in an improved manner throughout the period when the container remains open. This need is found in the case of an application as a receiver of products, such as waste, but also in the case of an application as a distributor where the container contains products that are just extracted from the bag . In particular, it is a question of reducing the risks of contact with the products contained in the bag.

L'emballage composite, conforme à l'invention, comporte les caractéristiques de la revendication 1.The composite package according to the invention has the features of claim 1.

Thanks to the invention, there is an additional means of protecting users throughout the service life. The contents of the bag being covered while remaining easy access. The removable nature of the cap further allows to form the package after filling, respectively complete emptying, in the same way as before.

In particular, the removable fixing means is constituted by a tongue housed in a notch. More specifically, said tab is formed on the first shutter flap, and the notch in a panel constituting the cap.

According to another feature, the cap comprises a flat wall for covering said opening and side walls for covering the edges of the opening. In this way, it allows a stable maintenance of the cap on the top of the package.

Advantageously, the cap is formed in a cardboard plate having a central panel forming said flat wall bordered by lateral panels that can be raised to form the side walls. Advantageously, the cap comprises means for maintaining it flat, with the side panels folded against the central panel. This provision allows in the case of a waste container, to introduce the cap flat on the top of the waste, It thus forms an additional protection of users at the time of closure of the bag and the container.

The invention therefore aims at the use of a packaging thus characterized, for collecting waste, such as hospital waste, according to which the cap is placed in place on the opening with said removable fixing means before putting into operation the 'packaging. More precisely, it aims at a use according to which the cap is laid flat and is slid into the opening before final closure.

The invention also relates to the use of a packaging thus characterized, as a bulk product dispenser according to which said cap is put in place before putting the package into service.

Other features and advantages will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment of the invention, including in the appendix the drawings on which
  • The figure 1 represents a composite package in filling position,
  • The figure 2 represents the packaging of the figure 1 with the cap of the invention in half-open position,
  • The figure 3 the packaging of the figure 1 with the cap closing the opening

  • The figure 5 represents a plate of suitably cut and grooved to form the cap after setting volume.

We have shown on the figure 1 a known composite package 1, in the open position for filling. It includes a container 10 of corrugated cardboard in particular, but any other semi-rigid type material is also suitable. This container here has a rectangular parallelepiped shape and rests on the ground by its bottom panel. It includes an opening of rectangular section filling in its upper part. There is a first flap 12 and a second flap 14 shutter this opening. The two flaps are articulated around parallel and opposite axes so as to close the opening by folding over one another. Two other flaps 16 and 18 are arranged perpendicular to the first two and contribute to the closure. They can include, in this embodiment adapted to hospital waste, openings forming handles. A bag 20, made of flexible plastic material or paper, depending on the use for which it is provided, is housed inside the container.

In the open position as seen in the figure, the upper edge of the bag is by the edge of the opening of the container that can be seen by transparency.

So as not to leave the opening gaping during the entire filling time. According to the invention, a removable cap is provided. figure 2 such headdress set up and half open.

The cap 30 is on the container by means of a tongue and notch connection. The tongue 120 is here on the free edge of the flap 12. It is slid into notch 320 formed on the panel of the cap 30, as seen on the figure 3 which represents the cap on the opening of the container.

On the figure 4 the cap 30 is shown alone. It consists of a flat central panel 32 which is preferably slightly smaller than the opening of the container 10 for the reason which will be explained later.

L'encoche 320 est ménagée sur ce volet 321.This panel 32 is bordered on three sides by walls 33, 34, 35 respectively. The fourth side is extended by a flap 321. The notch 320 is formed on this flap 321.

This cap is made from a cardboard plate or other semi-rigid material that we see on the figure 5 . We find the same references as on the cap for the corresponding elements.

The plate comprises a central panel 32 bordered by two panels 33 and 35 on two opposite sides. On one of the sides, between the two previous ones, there is a double panel, 34'-34 ", articulated on a line parallel to the side When the exterior panel 34" is folded on the inner panel 34 ', the wall is found 34. The panels 33 and 35 are extended on this side, each by a panel 33 ', 35' respectively. The edges of these two panels form an angle with the edges on which the panels 33 and 35 are respectively hinged. In contrast, the two panels 33 and 35 have a tongue, 33 "and 35" respectively, arranged so as to be inserted in the notch 320 formed between the panel 32 and the flap 32 'after having folded the panels 33 and 35 on the central panel 32.

The cap is made to volume by folding the panels 33 and 35 substantially at 90 °, and bringing the panels 33 'and 35' back to 90 °. The panel 34 'is folded at a right angle against the panels 34' and 35 'and then the panel 34 "is folded so as to cover the latter.

At the time of commissioning a container to collect hospital waste, for example, the container is opened. The edge of the bag is folded outside the opening of the container and then the notch 320 of the cap is slid onto the tongue 120 of the first flap 12 and the opening is covered. The cap 3, folding, lid shape, the panel 32 on the opening and the walls 33, 34, 35 on the edges. It is noted that the panels 33 and 35 are flared. The link, tongue 120 and notch in the flap 32 ', forms a hinge. This prevents the contents of the container is visible throughout the service.

When the storyteller is full, remove the cap and lay it flat. For this we fold the panels 33 and 35 against the central panel. The panel 34 follows the movement. The assembly is locked in this position by sliding the tabs 33 "and 35" in the notch. Since the central panel is slightly smaller than the opening, it can be slid flat into it to cover the objects in the bag. We avoid touching them. This has created an additional protective barrier to moment of final closure of the container. This last operation is to close the bag first and then fold the flaps in the order prescribed by the cutting of the box forming the container. For example, the solution presented in the application for patent FR 0302920 .
