Definitions

  • the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the vacuum cleaner disclosed in this prior art has a door closable opening through which a power cord and a power plug can be retracted into the vacuum cleaner housing when the vacuum cleaner is not in use.
  • the power cord and power plug behind the door in the vacuum cleaner housing are fully contained.
  • the door can be opened by pressing a footswitch.
  • the power plug is pulled out by a driver connected to the door.
  • the hidden in the housing of the vacuum cleaner power plug is easily accessible when the vacuum cleaner is to be operated.
  • a separate footswitch is necessary to operate the door and the driver. This makes the use of the vacuum cleaner cumbersome.
  • the object of the invention is to develop a generic vacuum cleaner with an auxiliary device for moving the power plug in such a way that the auxiliary device can be operated in a simple manner.
  • a vacuum cleaner is to be created, which can be easily operated by a user in an ergonomic manner.
  • a movably mounted on the vacuum cleaner handle is provided, which is coupled to the auxiliary device and by moving the handle, the auxiliary device is actuated.
  • This solution has the advantage that a separate actuator for the auxiliary device can be omitted.
  • the operation of the auxiliary device by means of the movably mounted handle has the further advantage that the power cord or the power plug for unwinding the power cord by hand is immediately tangible when the user has pressed the handle of the vacuum cleaner.
  • Coupling should not only be understood as meaning a mechanical or electrical operative connection between the handle and the auxiliary device, but any known type of operative connection which triggers a desired reaction to the auxiliary device by a causal movement of the handle.
  • the auxiliary device not only comprises an actuating element, which may for example be a mechanical gripping element which moves the mains plug, but in particular any kind of sensor, such as e.g. a trigger mechanism or an electrical switch, which detects a movement of the handle and sets an actuator due to the detection of the handle movement in function.
  • Vacuum cleaners are usually removed from the immediate environment of the user when they are not operated.
  • the vacuum cleaner is preferably provided with a handle, with which the user can transport the vacuum cleaner from the storage location to the cleaning site and back. It is therefore to be expected that the handgrip will be grasped at least once by the user before putting the vacuum cleaner into operation.
  • the invention now provides to use this at least one time gripping the handle before each use of the vacuum cleaner to operate the auxiliary device. For the user thus an additional action is unnecessary to operate the auxiliary device.
  • the auxiliary device has a gripping element, which moves out of its basic position when moving the handle, the power plug in the second position.
  • the gripping element preferably holds the mains plug on the side of the mains plug facing the mains cable, so that the mains plug can be pulled from a first position, in which the mains cable is wound and shortened to its smallest length, into a second position, in which the mains cable or mains cable is pulled ., the power plug is manually graspable for unwinding the power cord.
  • the gripping member is formed such that the power plug is reliably held by the gripping member, even if the cable winding device exerts high tensile forces on the power cord.
  • the gripping element is preferably designed such that when gripping the power plug and unwinding of the power cord by hand, the power cord unhindered along the gripping member is pulled out.
  • the gripping element is attached directly to the handle.
  • a direct attachment of the gripping element on the handle is particularly useful when the handle is bow-shaped and the two leg-like ends of the handle are sufficiently long, so that the gripping element pulls out the plug when pivoting the handle sufficiently far out of the housing of the vacuum cleaner.
  • This variant is not only particularly cost effective to implement, but their function is made clear to a user in a particularly vivid way.
  • the gripping member may be activated by a switchable with the handle electrical switch.
  • the gripping element can be actuated by means of an electric motor when the electric switch is closed and the electric motor is supplied with power.
  • the electrical switch may be provided with respect to the handle at a variety of positions. The gripping element is activated depending on the position of the electrical switch relative to the handle in a certain position of the handle. Preferred positions of the handle in which the electrical switch activates the gripping element may be, for example, the position of the handle in which the vacuum cleaner is carried or the position of the handle in which the handle is from its rest position towards the housing of the vacuum cleaner is moved.
  • the electrical energy for activating the electrically operable gripping member from an electrical energy storage such. a battery or a rechargeable battery.
  • an electrically operable gripping element is that the user does not have to spend increased forces to move the handle. The energy for moving the gripper element into the second position of the power plug is removed from the energy store and therefore does not have to be applied by the user.
  • the gripping element can be movably mounted on the vacuum cleaner and coupled to the handle via a mechanical component.
  • the energy to move the Gripping element is made available solely from the energy that is applied to move the handle by the user. Due to the mechanical coupling of the gripping element and the handle, a separate power supply for actuating the gripping element is dispensable.
  • the gripping element according to the invention is functional when the vacuum cleaner is connected to any power supply.
  • the use of mechanical components for coupling gripping element and handle is generally less expensive than an electrical solution.
  • the handle and the gripping element is pivotally mounted on the vacuum cleaner.
  • the handle is coupled, for example via a lever or gear transmission or a belt drive with the gripping element.
  • the gripping member may hold the power plug in its first position, in which the power cord is wound and shortened to its smallest length, when the handle is in its rest position. If the handle is now pivoted from its rest position into a carrying position, the gripping element pivots the power plug from the first position to the second position, in which the power cord or the power plug for unwinding the power cord by hand is gripped.
  • the gripping element is not pivoted during pivoting of the handle from its rest position to the carrying position and pivoting of the gripping element takes place only when the handle is pivoted back from its carrying position to its rest position.
  • the gripping element is in the first position of the power plug when the handle is in its rest position and the gripping member pivots to the second position of the power plug when the handle is pivoted from its rest position in the direction of the housing of the vacuum cleaner ,
  • the power plug is brought into the tangible position as soon as the vacuum cleaner is picked up.
  • the power plug is brought into its tangible position as soon as the vacuum cleaner is lowered after carrying and the handle is pivoted to its rest position.
  • the power plug is brought into its tangible position only when the vacuum cleaner is lowered after wearing, the handle is pivoted to its rest position and moved by an additional pressing of the handle in the direction of the housing of the vacuum cleaner.
  • the mechanical components which couple the handle to the gripping element can do so be formed that all the alternatives described are optionally possible within a vacuum cleaner.
  • a user-actuatable actuator may be provided which adjusts the mechanical transmission components according to the user desired alternative.
  • the handle may have a lever or a cam which actuates a slide connected to the gripping element or a telescopic arm.
  • a displaceably mounted on the vacuum cleaner grip element has the advantage that the power plug can be pulled out along with the power cord over a further distance away from the cable winding device, as would be possible with a pivotally mounted on the housing gripping element.
  • the displaceable gripping element is moved in a specific position of the pivotable handle in the second position of the power cord.
  • the gripping element is preferably then moved to the second position of the power plug when the pivotable handle is in the carrying position.
  • the displaceable gripping element can be biased by means of resilient bias or by a positive guide in the first position of the power plug.
  • the handle can be displaced and the gripping element can be mounted pivotably on the vacuum cleaner.
  • the gripping element preferably has a lever or a cam which actuates a slider connected to the handle.
  • the gripping element is coupled to a gear transmission which engages in a rack on the handle. If the gripping element, which carries a gear, coupled by means of an intermediate gear with the rack on the handle, the gripping member is pivoted from the first position of the power plug in the second position of the power plug when the handle is pulled out of its rest position in the carrying position. The handle is returned to its rest position pushed back, so the gripping element pivots back into the first position of the plug. In the retracted position of the handle, the gripping element is pivoted back behind the contour of the vacuum cleaner and the vacuum cleaner is ready for use without the gripping element of the vacuum cleaner protruding disturbing.
  • both the handle and the gripping element can be displaceably mounted on the vacuum cleaner.
  • a driver may be provided which couples the handle with the gripping element.
  • the gripping member is held by a locking member or a shift gate under a bias in the first position of the power plug and the locking member or the shift gate is by releasing the handle from its basic positiontician. Due to the bias of the gripping element a minimal movement of the handle is sufficient to trigger the locking member or the shift gate and move the gripping member completely from the first position to the second position of the power plug.
  • the locking member or the shift gate is designed such that a short tap of the handle from its rest position in the direction of the housing of the vacuum cleaner to inclined to move the gripping member completely in the second position of the power plug. This has the advantage that only a short pulse-like movement is required for the user to fully trigger the gripping element.
  • the gripping element can be prestressed by the energy stored in the cable winding device for winding the power cable into the first position of the mains plug.
  • a vacuum cleaner 1 is shown schematically.
  • the vacuum cleaner 1 has a housing 2, on which a handle 3 is pivotally mounted.
  • the handle 3 is pivotable about its pivot axis 4 from a rest position A in a carrying position B.

  • the power plug 10 is held behind the outer contour of the housing 2 in a first position C, in which the power cord 9 is wound on the cable drum 7 and shortened to its smallest length.
  • a gripping element 11 is attached on the handle 3.
  • the gripping element 11 serves as an auxiliary device 12 to move the power cable 9 from the first position C to a second position D, in which the power cord 9 and the power plug 10 for unwinding the power cord 9 of the cable drum 7 by hand is tangible.
  • the gripping member 11 is cup-shaped and has a slot which is wide enough to pass the power cord 9 and is narrow enough to hold the power plug 10.
  • the cup-shaped gripping element 11 engages behind the power plug 10.
  • the power plug 10 In the carrying position B of the handle 3, the power plug 10 is in the second position d. From the second position D of the power plug 10, this can be pulled out of the cup-shaped gripping element 11 upwards by hand.
