Abstract
Description
The road signs generally comprise a display surface and a border around this surface.
For security reasons in particular, the corners of signboards must be rounded.
Current signaling panel manufacturing methods have a number of disadvantages, since they include a relatively large number of steps and use specific machines.
In addition, current processes may require a relatively large workforce.
L'invention vise notamment à remédier aux inconvénients précités.The invention aims in particular to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks.
- providing a sheet metal sheet having a main portion defining a display surface and having at least one rounded edge,
- cut-out on the sheet metal sheet at least a part of the edge adjacent to the main part,
- fold the edge part or parts,
- form a border adjacent to the main portion along the rounded edge.
Thanks to the invention, the manufacture of panels can involve a reduced number of operations, which may require for example only cutting and folding operations.
The manufacturing method according to the invention may in particular be devoid of stamping step of the sheet metal sheet.
In addition, the shapes cut in the sheet metal sheet can be relatively simple.

Advantageously, a first of said edge portions comprises, at its end to which is connected a second edge portions, a recess having in particular a depth substantially equal to the thickness of the second edge portion.
In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the rounded edge of the display surface has an arcuate shape, and can be made by cutting the sheet metal sheet.
- performing on one of the edge portions, in particular by cutting the sheet metal sheet, an end portion having an edge, particularly rectilinear, arranged to fit, in the folded state, the rounded edge of the main part,
- fold the end portion along the rounded edge.
The end portion preferably has a substantially rectangular shape, being in particular connected to the remainder of the sheet along a short side of the rectangle.
- before folding the end portion along the rounded edge, fold the corresponding edge portion.
