Description

The present invention relates to a transition with a transition bridge, a bellows and a joint, for connecting two vehicles, for. B. a articulated bus or a vehicle with trailer.

Transition bridges of various kinds as part of a transition between articulated vehicles, z. B. a joint bus, are well known from the prior art. However, all these known transition bridges are based on the joint. Such a support of the transition bridge on the joint is possible because the fulcrum is fixed to the joint. In this respect, as a transition bridge only one on the joint-supporting disc is required. At this disc two bridge parts protrude, which, in order to make the joint accessible, are connected by a hinge to the floor of the vehicle, so that the bridge parts are correspondingly folded up.

From the EP 0 207 682 A1 a transition bridge is known, wherein the transition bridge comprises two bridge plates, wherein the one bridge plate of the other bridge plate rests pivotally.
In this case, further so-called distance bridging plates are provided, which ensure that between the bridge plates substantially no open distances in the vertical direction arise.

Now, however, a joint is known in which the pivot point of the joint is not fixed. Such a joint is called "universal joint" from the DE 102 09 354 A1 or the EP 1 342 594 A2 known. The peculiarity of this joint is that this joint builds relatively short and that the pivot point of the joint according to the radius of curvature to be traveled by the vehicle moves from the inside to the outside. That is, the fulcrum is not stationary. In this respect, prohibits a bridge construction, as known from the prior art.

The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a transition, the can also be used with joints in which the pivot point is not stationary.

The object is achieved in that the transition bridge has two mutually overlapping bottom plates which are displaceable relative to each other, wherein the joint comprises a arranged on the vehicle part articulated support, wherein the lower base plate slidably mounted on the joint carrier, wherein the upper base plate is supported in the region of the joint carrier on the lower base plate.

From this it is clear that the transition bridge is no longer supported on the moving parts of the joint, but on the fixed parts of the joint. This means that there is an unsupported part of the transition bridge, so that this can lead to deflections. However, this free part of the transition bridge is relatively short, since the universal joint, as already explained elsewhere, also builds short.

Further advantageous features and embodiments can be found in the dependent claims.

Thus, according to a special feature of the invention, it is provided that the upper base plate is flexible and resistant to abrasion. As already stated elsewhere, the upper floor slab slides on the lower floor slab. In this respect, a certain abrasion resistance and also lubricity between the two base plates of advantage in this area, which can be achieved in particular by the fact that the upper base plate is made for example of a plastic. Elastic should also be formed, the lower bottom plate, as well as it is subjected to deformations, for example during rolling movements. In this respect, the lower floor panel can be made in the same way as the upper floor panel.

In order to provide the required stability of such a base plate made of plastic, reinforcement elements are incorporated according to a further feature of the invention in the plastic of the bottom plate. That is, for example, in an injection molding process produced base plate, the corresponding reinforcing elements are molded as deposits with.

Since the lower floor plate when cornering of the vehicle exerts a relative movement to the joint carrier on which it rests, it is necessary that between the surface of the joint carrier on the one hand and the underside of the lower floor plate on the other hand a sliding movement is possible. In this respect, it is provided that sliding elements are provided for the sliding movement of the lower base plate on the joint carrier. It is also conceivable, however, the reverse arrangement of the sliding elements on the lower base plate. Such sliding elements may be plastic parts which are particularly resistant to abrasion and moreover have a low coefficient of friction.

Advantageously, the joint carrier has a traverse, which is arranged in the region of the transition from the lower to the upper base plate on the joint carrier. This Traverse serves as an additional support and support for the lower base plate, which is why the traverse for the sliding movements of the lower base plate also has corresponding sliding elements in this area.

As already explained elsewhere, the transition bridge described above according to the invention is particularly suitable for a so-called universal joint. Such a universal joint has two crosswise arranged articulated arms, wherein the articulated arms are rotatably attached at one end to the articulated support and at its other end rotatably mounted on articulated blocks, wherein the articulation blocks are arranged on the other vehicle part. It should be pointed out once again that the present invention applies both to articulated vehicles and to a towing vehicle with a detachable trailer. Such A universal joint is further distinguished by the fact that the articulated arms in the region of the linkage to the joint carrier each end have a cam for receiving a damper, wherein the damper is designed for example as a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit, which is in communication with the joint carrier. This makes it clear that the deflection of the articulated arms at z. B. cornering is dampening.

In order to ensure that when cornering, the lower plate does not protrude laterally beyond the upper base plate, the lower base plate in the region of the upper base plates has a gable-like, ie approximately conically extending end region.

As already explained elsewhere, especially when using the transition bridge at a transition of a vehicle consisting of traction vehicle and trailer, the towing vehicle should be available separately from the trailer. This also means that the transition bridge must also be divisible in a simple manner. In this respect, it is provided that the lower base plate, which is fastened to the other vehicle part, has a hinge in the region of the articulated trestles in order to be able to fold up the base plate in the event of uncoupling of the rear vehicle part from the front vehicle part.

Wesentlich ist allerdings folgender Aspekt:Furthermore, it is provided that the front edge of the upper base plate is formed arcuate in the transition region to the lower base plate. With such a retracted upper base plate material is ultimately saved, which leads to cost reduction. In addition, the two bottom plates overlap each other in the region of the joint carrier. However, the following aspect is essential:

Due to the retracted upper floor plate, a lower relative speed between the two floor panels is accomplished in motion, as if, in contrast, the upper floor panel would overlap the lower floor panel over a large area. This ultimately serves the comfort of passengers and their safety. Furthermore, a sealing lip is provided in the region of the end edges of the upper base plate in order to prevent the entry of dirt from above into the joint.

The transition bridge, generally designated 1, comprises the lower base plate 2 and the upper base plate 3. The lower base plate 2 rests on the two articulation blocks 4, which are fastened to the chassis of the front carriage 5. The upper bottom plate 3 rests on the joint carrier designated 20 and is rigidly connected by screws to both this and the chassis 6 of the rear carriage. Between the upper base plate 3 and the joint carrier 20 there is a trained in the manner of a pocket vertical distance X (Figure 2), which serves for the movable receptacle of the lower base plate 2. The joint carrier 20 also shows a traverse 21, the extends parallel to the transverse axis of the joint or parallel to the transverse axis of the vehicle as a whole, wherein the lower base plate slidably rests on the traverse 21. For this purpose, the traverse 21 has sliding elements 9, on which slides the lower base plate. Other sliding elements 9 between the lower base plate 2 and the joint carrier 20 shows the joint carrier 20 for the lower base plate 2. The arrangement of the sliding elements but can also be reversed, that is done on the bottom plate.

The formation of the joint itself is as follows:

The generally designated 30 joint has the two articulated arms 31 and 32, which intersect each other. At one end, the two articulated arms are each rotatably mounted on the hinge bracket 4 by means of a bearing 4a. At its other end, the articulated arms 31 and 32 are received by the joint carrier 20. The joint carrier 20 also has a bearing 20a for rotatably receiving the two articulated arms. The end of the articulated arms are each provided with a cam 31 a and 32 a, wherein on the cam in each case a piston-cylinder unit 25 is arranged, which is connected to the bearing block 26 of the joint carrier 20. The articulation of the piston-cylinder unit 25 and the damper 25 both on the cam 31 a and 32 a and the bearing block 26 is each held pivotally.

The lower base plate 2 also shows in the region of the center of the bearing 4a of the hinge bracket 4, a hinge 8 in order to pivot the lower base plate upwards. The upper bottom plate 3 has in the region of the transition to the lower bottom plate 2 frontally an arcuate indentation 12, wherein the indentation 12 is modeled on the course of the traverse 21 approximately. The the front end forming sealing lip is denoted by 23. This sealing lip prevents the ingress of dirt into the joint.

The lower base plate 2 also shows in the region of the joint carrier 20 has a gable-shaped course, characterized by the arrow 16 to prevent when cornering that the lower bottom plate over the upper bottom plate 3 protrudes laterally.

The bellows surrounding the bridge and joint is omitted in the drawing.
