Abstract

The heading cover (2) has a curved or extruded laminar profile portion (3) made of water impermeable material and with bars (5) on the sides. The profile portion is connected to an anchorage section at the heading of a wall. Impact links (4) are formed on some areas (7) of the profile portion to eliminate misalignment when the profile portion is shifted and laid over another profile portion. The misalignment can be the result of temperature expansion or temperature dipping of the profile portions during arrangement. Adhesive is used to attach the heading cover to the wall.

Description

The invention relates to a head cover for a wall, consisting of at least two U-shaped profile sections made of a water-impermeable material, the U-end webs which protrude in the attached state of the profile sections against the wall edges down, and each one covering the joint between two profile sections , under the end portions of the profile sections reaching and covered by these butt connectors which is U-shaped in cross-section, with its U-legs are substantially parallel to the end webs. The invention also relates to a butt connector according to the preamble of claim 9.

A head cover to protect the wall from moisture. The impinging water should also be able to drain in a suitable manner to the outside and / or inside, with dripping noses ensure that protrusions are present, which keep the water from the masonry itself.

The profile sections are usually aluminum, zinc or copper sheet, which is profiled in a U-shape. Fastening, bonding or anchoring parts can be used to secure the attachment. Optionally, the metal sheet of the wall cover can be directly embedded with the help of webs or the like in the wall.

The vorzitierte preamble of claims 1 and 9 goes out DE 22 13 183 C2 out.

For the invention, the task is to produce a simple manner to be mounted universally wall covering, which proceeded from a sheet metal or plastic profile produced in standardized lengths and a well-functioning butt joint is made, which allows quick installation.

This object is achieved in a head cover or a butt connector of the type mentioned by the U-legs of the butt connector profile from the joint area starting converge toward the free end of the butt connector out.

Shock override is made without soldering and welding connections. The butt connectors are U-shaped in cross-section, wherein the U-legs are substantially parallel to the end webs of the profile sections.

The butt connectors are further designed so that they have a curving material extending transversely to the wall extent, so that length expansions can be better absorbed here, while still the end portions of the profile sections can move in the resulting by temperature expansion and temperature compression offset. The material corrugations also serve to drain the water and to prevent the driving of the water by wind.

The butt connectors can also be used when retaining strips or anchoring parts are used. The retaining strips can be shortened in the area of the joints, so that there is no collision between anchoring part and butt connector can occur. When mounting the T-pieces holding strips and butt connectors can also be superimposed.

The butt connectors are designed so that their U-legs, seen from the side, are approximately trapezoidal, or generally speaking, converge towards the free end of the butt connector. This design has the advantage that insertion into the profile sections is possible without the adhesive smearing.

Letzteres geschieht in Form wenigstens zweier querliegender Raupen.Preferably, a high-viscosity bonding compound, for example a bituminous bonding compound, is introduced between the upper side of the joint connector and the underside of the overlying profile section. The latter happens in the form of at least two transverse caterpillars.

Through the use of the abovementioned joint connector is possible that prefabricated profile sections with T and L pieces can be assembled without soldering to an angled wall connection.

Embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the drawing.

In Fig. 1 the head 1 of a wall is shown schematically, which is bricked in the usual way from bricks or natural stones and mortar or made with concrete and formwork. On the head 1 of the wall, a head cover 2 is placed, which protects the wall against water penetrating from above. In the present case, the head cover 2 consists essentially of two elements, namely curved, flat profile sections 3 made of titanium zinc sheet and butt joints 4. The profile sections 3 have a U-shape in cross-section, that is, they have end webs 5 on both sides, which protrude in the applied state of the profile sections 3 with respect to the wall edge 6 down and drip edges form. Instead of Titanzinkblech other materials can be used, for. B. aluminum or copper sheet. Extruded plastic profiles can also be used. However, the use of metal materials for the profile sections 3 is preferred.

Used for head covers of the type described metal materials, the entire installation without soldering or welding of the sheets can be performed, as experience shows due to the strong temperature fluctuations it can cause cracks and damage here. Even short installation times are desired.

The bumps between the laid profile sections 3, which generally have a standard length of about two to three meters, are therefore performed so that the impact is bridged by the butt joint 4, the ends of which under the end portions 7 (in FIG. 1 dashed lines shown) of the profile sections 3 rich. The end areas each cover one half, reduced by the width of the joint, the symmetrically shaped butt joint 4 from. The changes in length of the profile sections 3 resulting from temperature expansion and temperature compression are absorbed since there are no rigid connections between them and between them and the butt connector 4, as will be described below.

FIG. 3 shows a butt connector 4 in a perspective view. The butt connector 4 consists of about 0.5 to 1.0 mm thick titanium zinc sheet. Its width is adapted to the usual widths of masonry heads. Standardized width dimensions are for example 226 or 326 mm; its length is for example 333 mm. In cross section, the butt connector 4 is U-shaped. The U-legs 8 and 9 are at an angle of 85 ° to 90 ° from the central surface 10 from.

Seen from the side, the U-legs 8 and 9 have the shape of flat trapezoids. Towards both ends converge the U-legs 8, 9, as seen from the central or joint area 11. When installed (see Fig. 1), the U-legs are directed downward and have some distance from the wall front to produce a drip edge.

For the assembly of the profile sections 3 and the butt connector 4 is either worked with or without holding strips.

Fig. 2) zu liegen kommen.
Is according to FIG. 1 without retaining strips as an anchoring part, the assembly is carried out as follows:
  • After cleaning, a bituminous cold-adhesive layer 30 (made, for example, from Enkolit®, manufacturer Enke) is applied over the entire surface of the upper wall and spread to a layer. The two endmost peaks of the amplitudes next to the grooves 12 and 13 or 14 and 15 of the butt connector 4 are each covered with a bitumen cold glue bead 12 'and 14'.
  • Under inclination and utilization of the geometry of the convergent portions of the U-legs, the butt connectors 4 are inserted from the bottom in the profile sections 3 so that they in the space between the bottom and retaining lugs 16, 17 (see. Fig. 2 ) come to rest. The advancing then takes place up to the middle of the butt connector 4. Care is taken to ensure that the bituminous cold-adhesive beads 12 ', 14' are not damaged or smeared.
  • After insertion into the profile section 3 to about half of the central area both parts are placed flat on the covered with bituminous cold-adhesive layer wall and pressed. The butt connector 4 can additionally be screwed onto the head 1 of the wall.

The (in the FIG. 1 to the bottom left) via the joint connector 4 subsequent profile section is in FIG. 1 not shown. Again, the end of the butt connector is inserted under appropriate inclination and bonded. On additional fittings between joint connector 4 and profile or soldering and welding can be completely dispensed with.

Fig. 2 und 4). If the head cover 1 is laid with retaining strips, correspondingly profiled sheets, namely holding strips 20, are laid on the top of the wall before the attachment of profile sections 3 and butt joints 4 (see FIG. Fig. 2 and 4 ). The retaining strips 20 have a cross-section, like him FIG. 2 shows. They extend transversely across the top of the wall and terminate laterally in end webs 21, 22, which protrude in the applied state opposite the wall edge down. The holding strips 20 are preferably glued to the top of the wall with the already described bitumen cold adhesive 30 and / or screwed there. In this case, the area which the butt connectors 4 occupy later is cut out.

The profile sections 3 are "clicked" with or without placement of adhesives by means of a snap-connection to the retaining strips 20. For this purpose, the profile sections 3 have a lateral profile design, which has a downwardly facing end web 23, 24 which terminates in the inwardly bent retaining lug 16 and 17, wherein all parts, except the retaining strips 20, are integrally bent from Titanzinkblech. The insertion and bonding of the butt connector 4 in the profile sections 3 takes place before the "clicking" of the profile sections, as already described. Preferably, adhesive beads are also used here in order to achieve a seal against penetrating water. Accordingly, the retaining strips generally replace the bitumen cold glue joint according to FIG. 1 to the top of the wall head 1 back.

The above-described system for covering the masonry head is easy to lay and is done either with retaining strips as a snap system or alternatively with an adhesive, preferably bitumen cold glue. The system allows the simple creation of butt joints as plug-in system, taking into account the expansion behavior in heat and cold and secures the shocks visibly penetrating moisture visually.

Advantageously low-profile lengths are used for the profile sections of, for example, 2.0 and 3.0 m, so that visually appealing and straight edges on the walls can be produced with corresponding drip noses. Transport to the construction site is also simplified. In addition to the standard profile widths of, for example, 230 and 330 mm, other profile widths can be provided if walls of exceptional dimensions are present. The parts may be readily pre-weathered or provided with other coatings. Damage caused by soldering or welding is excluded.

Another advantage is that also from the same material as the profile sections additional parts can be produced, as in the FIGS. 5 to 7 are shown.

FIG. 5 shows a wall termination, in which a raised web 30 is provided, which forms a moisture-tight closure when connecting wall to wall here.

FIG. 6 shows a mitred L-connection. Here, too, the ends of profile sections can be directly connected via the butt connectors.

The same applies to the in FIG. 7 illustrated T-connection, which allows a rectangular wall connection in a simple manner.
