Abstract

The dustbin has a separation wall (3) to separate two compartments (4, 5). The wall has a surface (6) whose slope line (7) defines a fixed inclination angle with a slope line (8) of an outer wall, where the angle is sufficient for emptying a compartment (4) when the dustbin is tilted until a fixed tilting angle. Ribs are disposed on the surface for limiting friction of wastes during the emptying of the compartment.

Description

Une telle poubelle est décrite dans le document US 4 978 018.The present invention relates to a trash bin with multiple compartments for the selective sorting of waste. Such a bin is described in US 4,978,018.

More specifically, it relates to a bin whose different compartments are likely to be emptied manually by tilting in different containers of a container, each bin being intended for a category of waste.

The invention relates more particularly to a trash can each compartment can be emptied quickly and independently of others.

To this end, the invention relates to a bin having an outer wall defining an opening for filling and emptying the bin, and at least one partition wall of two compartments, the partition having a surface including a line of greater slope directed towards the opening, defines at least one predetermined inclination angle with a line of greater slope of the outer wall, this angle being sufficient to allow the emptying of only a first compartment when the said trash is tilted around an axis orthogonal to the line of greatest slope of the outer wall to a first predetermined tilt angle.

This bin also comprises means adapted to limit the friction of the waste during the emptying of at least one of the compartments.

Thus, during the emptying of the first compartment, the partition separates the waste contained in the second compartment, as long as the bin is tilted until the partition is horizontal.

Then simply continue tilting over a second bin to empty the waste in the second compartment of the trash.

This feature greatly facilitates the emptying of bins for selective sorting, by gradual tilting of the trash.

In addition, the emptying of a given compartment is greatly facilitated by the fact that the waste does not catch in the trash, their friction being reduced.

In a preferred embodiment, the means for limiting the friction of the waste are located by ribs disposed on the contact zone between the waste and the inside of the trash when emptying thereof.

Those skilled in the art will readily understand that this contact zone is defined either by the inner wall of the bin or by the partition wall.

Thus, in this preferred embodiment, the contact surface between the waste and the inside of the bin, because of these ribs is limited and the slip improved.

This preferred embodiment is particularly suitable when the waste is constituted by flat elements such as paper because, in this case, the papers slide on the ribs during the emptying of the trash.

In a preferred embodiment, the partition wall has a curved portion adapted to create an air space under flat waste and in particular under sheets of paper during the emptying of this waste.

This air space further limits the contact area with this waste because of the relative stiffness of the paper sheet.

In a preferred embodiment, the bin has several partitions, not parallel to each other, and all attached to the bottom or to the same face of the outer wall, these partitions each having a substantially flat surface defining a sufficient angle of inclination with a line of greater slope of the outer wall, said inclination angles increasing as one moves away from this line of greater slope.

This trash can thus sort at least three categories of waste, and empty each of the compartments defined by the various partitions, gradually, by tipping the bin, as explained above.

In a preferred embodiment, at least one partition is removable.

This feature advantageously allows to remove compartments or enlarge compartments by removing a partition.

Those skilled in the art will readily understand that, if all the partitions are removed, the trash can no longer be used for sorting.

Préférentiellement, l'angle d'inclinaison, défini entre la surface de la cloison et une ligne de plus grande pente de la paroi de la poubelle, est supérieur à 30 degrés (noté "30°" ci-après).Preferably, the angle of inclination, defined between the surface of the partition and a line of greater slope of the wall of the bin, is greater than 30 degrees (denoted "30 °" below).

This angle of 30 degrees makes it possible to perform a particularly easy emptying of the bin by tilting by hand and, at the same time, to define two compartments of volume respectively of the order of one third and two thirds of the total volume of the bin, such volumes are typically suitable for storing paper waste in office bins.

According to one embodiment, the bin has removable receptacles adapted to the compartments.

Preferably, these removable receptacles follow the shape of the aforementioned compartments. They can be used to collect waste and facilitate emptying the bin by removing its compartments.

Thus, in one embodiment, a first compartment will be emptied by removal of a receptacle, the other compartments of the bin being emptied by tilting thereof, as described above.

In a preferred embodiment, the trash can includes tilting means of the partition for varying the aforementioned inclination angle.

Thus, we can vary the angle of inclination of the partition, depending on the different waste that is desired to collect in the compartments of the trash.

Those skilled in the art will understand that for liquid waste, or low viscosity, the partition will be adjusted so as to define a small angle between the wall and the wall.

In an advantageous embodiment, the partition is attached to a substantially vertical face of the bin, this bin having means for adjusting the height of the partition relative to the base of the bin.

This feature also allows to vary the volume of different compartments of the trash.

  • Figure 7 shows the bin of Figure 6 with removable receptacles according to the invention.

Figure 1A shows a trash P according to the present invention.

This trash P has an outer wall 1 and a lid 16 pivotally mounted about an axis of rotation Z tangent to this outer wall.

In the preferred embodiment described here, the outer face 1 has an opening 18 located below a lever handle 17.

This particular arrangement thus makes it easy to open the bin with one hand by inserting four fingers into the opening 18 and pressing the lever 17 with the thumb to tilt the lid 16 about the Z axis.

L'ouverture 18 est positionnée sur la face arrière 12 de la poubelle P.The opening 18 is positioned on the rear face 12 of the trash P.

In the preferred embodiment of FIG. 1A, the outer wall 1 defines a front face 11, a rear face 12 and two lateral faces 13 and 14.

Each of these four faces is attached to a base 10.

Below the opening 18, there is a recess 20, into which can be inserted a foot to move the trash and more specifically to pull it towards you when it is placed under a desk.

The trash P has a partition 3 separating two compartments 4 and 5, respectively for storing objects of any shape q and paper sheet p1.

In the preferred embodiment shown in Figure 1A, the lid of the bin has orifices suitable for these different objects.

Figure 1B shows in more detail the partition 3.

According to the invention, this partition comprises means adapted to limit the friction of the objects during the emptying of the trash.

It can be seen that the sheets of paper p1 rest on the ribs S of the partition 3, an air space E to facilitate the sliding of these sheets of paper p1 during the emptying of the trash P.

Figures 2A to 2D show four alternative embodiments of a trash P according to the present invention.

In each of these figures, there is shown the outer wall 1 of the bin defining an opening 2 for filling and emptying the trash P.

In these figures, the cover 16 is not shown.

According to the present invention, each of these bins comprises a partition 3 attached to the outer wall 1.

This attachment can be located on a side wall (Figure 2A) or on the base 10 of the trash P (Figures 2B and 2D).

This partition 3 thus defines two compartments of the trash P respectively referenced 4 and 5 for the selective sorting of two categories of waste.

According to the present invention, the partition 3 has a surface 6, a line of greater slope 7 directed towards the opening 2 of the trash P, defines at least one angle predetermined inclination a with a line of greater slope 8 of the outer wall 1, this angle is sufficient to allow the emptying of only one of the compartments 4 and 5 when the bin is tilted.

Indeed, it is easy to understand that if the trash P of FIG. 2A is tilted about the axis V in the direction represented by the arrow b, the waste located in the compartment 4 will, under their inertia, be emptied of the trash P as soon as the side face 12 will exceed the horizontal position.

In such a position, the waste located in the compartment 5 will be retained by the partition 3.

Préférentiellement, l'angle d'inclinaison a défini entre la ligne de plus grande pente de la cloison 3 et la ligne de plus grande pente de la paroi externe 1 est supérieur à 30°.Preferably, the angle of inclination defined between the line of greatest slope of the partition 3 and the line of greatest slope of the outer wall 1 is greater than 30 °.

It will be noted that what matters for achieving this particularly advantageous effect is the angle α defined by the partition 3 with a line of greater slope 8 of the outer wall of the trash P.

Indeed, in the embodiment of Figure 2B, this effect is obtained, although the partition 3 is vertical in the normal use of the trash.

In fact, when the trash P of FIG. 2B is tilted about the axis of rotation V along the arrow b, the waste of the compartment 4 is emptied as soon as the outer wall 1 exceeds the horizontal position, the waste situated in the compartment 5 being again retained by the partition 3.

As can be seen in Figure 3C , the invention also finds applications when the section of the trash P is of any shape, for example oblong. This trash P, whose base is not horizontal, can in particular be suspended or mounted on a support for fixing.

En référence maintenant à la figure 3D, l'homme du métier comprendra que l'invention trouve aussi une application dès lors qu'une partie au moins de la paroi externe 1 de la poubelle P comporte une ligne de plus grande pente 8' définissant un angle a' suffisant avec une ligne de plus grande pente 7 de la cloison 3 dirigée vers l'ouverture 2.Referring now to FIG. 3D , those skilled in the art will understand that the invention also finds application when at least a portion of the outer wall 1 of the trash P has a line of greater slope 8 'defining a angle a 'sufficient with a line of greater slope 7 of the partition 3 directed towards the opening 2.

En effet, si l'on bascule la poubelle autour de l'axe V suivant la flèche b', les déchets du compartiment 5 se vident alors que ceux du compartiment 4 sont retenus par la cloison 3.Indeed, if we swing the trash around the axis V along the arrow b ', the waste compartment 5 empty while those of compartment 4 are retained by the partition 3.

On the other hand, it appears in this 2D figure that the partition 7 being parallel to the lateral face 11 of the trash P, if this trash P is rotated about the axis V along the arrow b ", the elements of the compartments 4 and 5 are empty simultaneously.

In accordance with the invention, the bins P described above comprise means for limiting the friction of the waste with the contact zone of this waste during the emptying of at least one compartment, but these are not shown in FIGS. 2A. to 2D for the sake of clarity.

These means for limiting the friction may consist of ribs S disposed on the surface of the partition 3 located inside the compartment to be emptied second.

In the embodiment of FIG. 3B , these means for limiting the friction consist of ribs S disposed on the internal face of the wall 11 inside the first compartment 4.

In the embodiment of FIG. 3A , these ribs are arranged both on the internal face of the wall 12 in the compartment 4 and on the surface of the partition 3 in the second compartment 5.

In the embodiment of Figure 3A, the partition has a curved portion.

This curved portion again makes it possible to limit the friction with relatively flat flat waste (such as sheets of paper P1), during the emptying of the trash P, an air space E being created between this flat waste and the partition 3.

This curved portion 90 advantageously makes it possible to store the flat elements, such as sheets of paper p1 in the bin, so that they are positioned naturally on the partition 3 during the tipping of the trash for emptying.

Those skilled in the art will readily understand that the compartment 5 shown in FIG. 3A, bounded by the curved portion 90 of the wall internal, is particularly suitable for a desktop bin to receive sheets of paper in this compartment.

US Letter ».For example, the width of the bin defined by the distance between the side faces 13 and 14 may be the size of a standard paper sheet type "A4", "A3", "US Letter".

In the preferred embodiment shown in Figures 3A and 3B , the partition 3 is removable.

For this purpose, the partition 3 has on its sides intended to bear on the inner part of the side faces 13 and 14 of the trash P, a series of holes 24 adapted to receive screws 25 for positioning the partition 3 in the P bin or remove it.

For this purpose, the trash P has two orifices 26 and 27 for fixing the partition 3 by means of the aforementioned screws 25.

Préférentiellement, et comme représentée à la figure 3B, la poubelle P comporte plus précisément un premier orifice 26 de forme allongée et parallèle à la face arrière 12 de la poubelle P permettant de régler la hauteur h de la cloison 3 par rapport à la base 10 de la poubelle P.Preferably, and as represented in FIG. 3B, the trash P more precisely comprises a first orifice 26 of elongated shape and parallel to the rear face 12 of the trash P making it possible to adjust the height h of the partition 3 relative to the base 10 from the trash P.

Préférentiellement, le deuxième orifice 27 de la poubelle P est de forme allongée et oblique par rapport au bord supérieur de la poubelle P.Preferably, the second orifice 27 of the trash P is of elongated shape and oblique with respect to the upper edge of the trash P.

Thus, by varying the position of the screw 25 on the partition 3 in the second orifice 27, while maintaining unchanged the position of the screw 25 in the first orifice 26, the inclination of the partition 3 can be varied.

These two orifices 26, 27 thus make it possible, obviously, to vary both the height h and the inclination a of the partition 3 in the trash P.

According to an alternative embodiment shown in FIG. 6 , the trash P comprises several partitions 3 ', 3 "all of surfaces 6', 6" which are substantially flat and attached to the bottom 15 or to the same face 12 of the outer wall 1 of the trash P.

According to the invention, each of these partitions 3 ', 3 "defines an angle of inclination a', a" sufficient, with a line of greater slope 8 of the outer wall of the trash, the angle of inclination a ', a "increasing when one moves away from the line of greater slope 8 above.

This embodiment advantageously makes it possible to empty the different compartments 4, 4 ", 4" 'thus defined and represented in FIG. 3 by progressive tilting of the bin around an orthogonal V axis and of greater slope 8 along the arrow b.

Dans un mode préféré de réalisation représenté à la figure 7, la poubelle P selon l'invention comporte en outre des réceptacles amovibles 19, 19' adaptés aux compartiments 4' et 4".In a preferred embodiment shown in Figure 7 , the trash P according to the invention further comprises removable receptacles 19, 19 'adapted to the compartments 4' and 4 ".
