Abstract

The subject of the invention is an office basket (waste-paper basket) intended for storing sheets of paper and other waste and facilitating the recycling of the sheets of paper, characterised in that it comprises two coupled compartments 11, 12, each having at their upper part an opening, the first compartment 11, which is intended for receiving the sheets of paper, comprising an opening consisting of a longitudinal slot 17 permitting the introduction of the uncrumpled sheets of paper and having under this opening a wall 13 sloping with respect to the vertical on which the sheets of paper, introduced into the longitudinal slot 17, pile up flat and the second compartment 12, which is intended for receiving the other waste, comprising an opening sufficient for permitting the passage of the other waste but insufficient for permitting the easy passage of normally crumpled sheets of paper.

Claims

1 - Office basket intended for the storage of sheets of paper and other waste and facilitating the recycling of sheets of paper, characterized in that it comprises two adjoining compartments (11,12), each having an opening at their upper part (17, 33), 1st first compartment (1D which is intended to receive the sheets of paper, comprising an opening constituted by a longitudinal slot (17) allowing the introduction of the sheets of paper (34) uncrumpled and having under this opening a wall (13) inclined relative to the vertical on which the sheets of paper (35) stacked flat in the longitudinal slot (17) and the second compartment (12) which is intended to receive the other waste comprising a opening (33) sufficient to allow the passage of other waste but insufficient to allow the passage of normally crumpled sheets of paper.

7 - Basket according to claim 6, characterized in that the axes (15,19) of the hatches (14,18) are in the vicinity of their neighboring longitudinal edges.

8 - Basket according to any one of claims 6 and 7, characterized in that the lower edge (24) of the hatch (18) forming the second compartment (12) has a central cutout 25 of generally rectangular shape with rounded corners.

9 - Basket according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it has a handle (28) in the extension of the wall separating the two compartments (11,12) intended for the separate emptying of the compartments (11,12) as well a handle (32) at the top of the outer wall of the compartment (11) which is intended to receive the paper, this handle being intended for the simultaneous emptying of the two compartments (11,12).

10 - Basket according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that its upper edge (7) comprises two notches (26) in the side walls (4 and 5) for placing the basket turned over on a support during emptying.

11 - Apparatus for the simultaneous emptying of a wastepaper basket according to claim 10, characterized in that it comprises two adjacent bags supported by two adjacent tubular supports (55,56), one of these supports (56) being slightly more high than the neighboring support (55) and being intended to receive the notches (26) of the basket during emptying.
