Claims (9)

  1. Elément de protection, notamment pour des applications orthopédiques ainsi que pour des articles de vêtements de sport, notamment élément de renforcement pour créer une protection contre les surextensions de certaines parties du corps, comprenant des maillons (7) alignés en formant une chaîne, constitués d'un matériau protecteur résistant à la pression, qui sont connectés les uns aux autres à chaque fois par le biais d'une connexion pivotante avec des goupilles pivotantes (19), et qui présentent des surfaces de butées se faisant face (23, 25), qui s'appliquent l'une contre l'autre en bloquant une position de surextension dans le cas d'un mouvement de pivotement relatif des maillons (7), caractérisé en ce que la chaîne constituée de maillons (7) de projection horizontale en forme de T avec une barre de base centrale (11) et une barre de tête (9) à son extrémité, est alignée de telle sorte que des maillons (7) adjacents soient à chaque fois en position inversée l'un par rapport à l'autre, et en ce que les connexions pivotantes dans les deux régions d'extrémité de la barre de tête (9) d'au moins un maillon (7) sur deux présentent un alésage de support (17) pour une goupille pivotante (19) connectant les maillons (7) adjacents et s'étendant parallèlement à la barre de base (11).
  2. Elément de protection selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les maillons (7) sont identiques et sont tous pourvus dans leurs barres de tête (9) d'alésages de support traversants (17), dans lesquels viennent en prise les goupilles pivotantes (19) en tant que composants séparés.
  3. Elément de protection selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que la longueur des barres de base (11) correspond au moins approximativement à la largeur des barres de tête (9) mesurée dans la même direction.
  4. Elément de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que les surfaces de butée sont formées par des surfaces planes (23) sur les côtés des barres de base (11) tournés vers les maillons (7) adjacents et par des surfaces partielles (25) planes en regard de ces surfaces planes prévues aux extrémités des barres de tête (9) de maillons (7) adjacents, auxquelles se raccordent des surfaces partielles (27) courbes et en retrait, afin de permettre un mouvement de pivotement relatif des maillons (7) autour des connexions pivotantes, dans seulement une direction de pivotement.
  5. Elément de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que les maillons (7) présentent une courbure concave par rapport à l'axe rapporté à la direction longitudinale de la chaîne du côté large (13) qui est tourné vers une partie du corps concernée lors de l'utilisation de l'élément de protection.
  6. Elément de protection selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que les maillons (7) présentent une courbure convexe correspondante du côté large (15) tourné à l'opposé de la courbure concave.
  7. Elément de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que les maillons (7) possèdent un évidement interne (29) s'étendant à travers la barre de tête (9) et la barre de base (11).
  8. Elément de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisé en ce que les alésages de support (17) présentent, à l'extrémité de sortie au niveau du côté supérieur de la barre de tête (9), une portion d'extrémité (21) élargie pour recevoir un élément de fixation fixant la position axiale de la goupille pivotante (19) concernée.
  9. Elément de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé en ce que les maillons (7) sont moulés par injection de matière plastique.
