Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tensioning machine with a horizontal drying zone for the continuous treatment of a web held between chain links consisting of chain links, the two longitudinal edges of which can be detachably fastened to the chain links in a coupling zone, each of the chain links having pivot pins with a neighboring chain link, the connecting pins of which Axes are essentially perpendicular to the plane of the web, with the tension chains - horizontal in the drying zone - being assigned guide rails with load-bearing roller or slideways for the chains.
  • the tension chains are endless. Seen in the direction of web transport, they are deflected in front of the coupling zone (single-needle field) and after a decoupling zone (needle-out field) by shafts, the axes of which are perpendicular to the adjacent web surface.

  • the web is taken up in the tension chains described, stretched to a certain width and fed to a vertical dryer. If the crowning of the pin should only be sufficient for tilting the pin axis 32 by approximately 2 °, the remaining parts of the chain 7, in particular the rollers 28 with the associated slide bearing 29, can in principle remain unchanged.
