- Method for compacting waste contained in containers (3), which are open in the upper option (4), implemented by a compacting device (1) according to any of the preceding claims including a compacting roller (5) rotationally mounted at one end (6) of a handling arm (7) the other end (8) of which is mounted in a foldable way on a supporting frame (9) essentially comprised of two longitudinal beams (17, 18) defining sliding rails for loading said compacting device (1) on the load platform (15) of a vehicle for transporting containers (14), this supporting frame (9) defines a counterweight for the compacting roller (5) when the latter is extended in said container (3) through the articulated arm (7) and is provided, at its one transversal end (10), with coupling means (12) designed capable of co-operating with a hoisting and loading hook (13) said vehicle for transporting containers (14), wherein:- the hoisting hook (13) of the transport vehicle (14) is brought into cooperation with coupling means (12) the supporting frame (9) of the compacting device (1) includes, at least at one of its transversal ends (10), for loading the latter on the load platform (15) of said vehicle (14) ;- the taking up of said compacting device (1) by the transport vehicle (14) is ensured in order to bring it in front of the container (3) ;- the compacting roller (5) is extended in said container (3) through the articulated arm (7), the compacting of the contents of said container (3) is ensured.
- Method according to claim 8, wherein the transport vehicle (14) provides, through connecting means in the form of a hydraulic and/or pneumatic and/or electric power take-off, the driving power necessary for controlling the jacks (25, 26) of the articulated handling arm (7) and for rotationally driving the compacting roller (5).
