Description

La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif cache-marchandises destiné à équiper un véhicule et défini selon le préambule de la revendication 1, un tel dispositiff étant connu du document US 6,312,036 B1.The present invention relates to a cargo cover device intended to equip a vehicle and defined according to the preamble of claim 1, such device being known from US 6,312,036 B1.

In some current motor vehicles, the removal of the rear seats makes it possible to arrange a large goods storage area at the rear of the front seats of the vehicle. On vehicles equipped with five doors, this storage area is accessible via three doors: the two rear side doors and the tailgate.

Some commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles of the same model are built on the same basis, but have differences in equipment to adapt to the use that will be made. Thus, for example, the commercial vehicles will have, at the rear of the seats, a plastic container extending over the entire surface of the interior floor and defining the lower part of a goods storage area.

Such vehicles have, in general, also a removable cargo cover device for hiding goods deposited in the storage area that could be seen through the various windows of the vehicle. Such a device prevents vehicle break-in by individuals wishing to appropriate the goods stored inside the vehicle. This device therefore defines an upper limit of the goods storage area.

The cargo cover devices known to date consist of folding panels around axes transverse to the vehicle. So, the loading goods from the rear of the vehicle can be done more or less easy after folding the rear panel of the cargo cover. On the other hand, the loading of goods by the side doors is really inconvenient. Indeed, it remains at this level, a panel can not be folded. Such a cargo cover device has another disadvantage. Due to the body shapes of modern vehicles, the body width at the cargo cover device is greater than the vehicle body width at its roof. Thus, the size of the panels constituting the cargo cover, in the direction transverse to the vehicle, must be substantially smaller than the width of the box at the level of the cargo cover. It is therefore necessary, so that the cargo cover can properly perform its function of providing on both sides of its panels, along the side faces of the vehicle auxiliary panels connected to the vehicle body and extending over the entire length of the storage area. These auxiliary panels are particularly troublesome when you want to load bulky goods.

On the other hand, there are known cargo cover devices, which make it possible to solve some of these disadvantages. These devices include panels articulated about axes parallel to the length of the vehicle. The folding of these panels makes it possible to facilitate significantly the loading of goods by the side doors of the vehicle. However, they make it very difficult to load goods from behind the vehicle.

The various types of cargo cover described are possibly completed at the rear of the storage area by a panel oscillating about a transverse axis and connected to the tailgate.

The object of the invention is to provide a merchandise-covering device which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks and which presents an improvement over the known devices of the state of the art. In particular, the invention proposes a cargo-hide device facilitating the loading of goods. This device allows easy loading of goods by the side doors and the rear door of the vehicle.

Pour atteindre ce but, le dispositif cache-marchandises selon l'invention est caractérisé par la partie caractérisante de la revendication 1.To achieve this purpose, the cargo cover device according to the invention is characterized by the characterizing part of claim 1.

The dependent claims 2 to 9 define different embodiments of the device according to the invention.

Claim 10 defines a vehicle comprising a device according to the invention.

The attached drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the cargo cover device according to the invention.

Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view of the panels constituting the cache device and detailing the structure of the panels and their method of connection.

Figure 6 is a perspective view of the cargo cover device whose panels have been folded for storage behind the front seats of the vehicle.

The cargo cover device 10 shown in FIG. 1 mainly comprises five panels 1 to 5. These five panels constitute a substantially flat assembly intended to be disposed at the rear of the rear seats of a tourism vehicle 60 or a vehicle. utility vehicle with front seats removed. These panels are arranged at a distance from the floor of the vehicle, substantially parallel thereto. A storage area 64 between the floor of the vehicle and the panels and substantially parallelepipedic is thus defined. The lateral faces 65 and 66 of this storage area are accessible by the side doors 62 and 63 of the vehicle and its rear face by the rear hatch 61 of the vehicle. The panels extending substantially over the entire floor surface, the goods stored in the storage area are not visible through the windows of the vehicle doors.

A central panel, said main panel 1, has a trapezoidal shape. The small base of the trapeze is at the front of the storage area and the large base at the back. Along each of the other two sides of the trapezium is articulated an auxiliary panel 2 respectively 3 of triangular shape. The link from the main panel 1 to the auxiliary panel 3 is referenced 12 and the connection of the main panel 1 to the auxiliary panel 2 is referenced 11. The auxiliary panel 3 is also connected to a side panel 5 at its side opposite to that by which it is linked to the main panel 1. Similarly, the auxiliary panel 2 is also connected to a side panel 4 at its side opposite to that by which it is connected to the main panel 1. These two side panels 4, 5 each have a shape substantially triangular. Their opposite sides to their sides by which they are connected to the auxiliary panels have a profile adapted to the vehicle body. The connection of the auxiliary panel 3 to the side panel 5 is referenced 14 and the connection of the auxiliary panel 2 to the side panel 4 is referenced 13.

At the sides of the side panels having a profile adapted to the vehicle body can be fixed cheeks 6 and 7 made of a flexible material substantially to the floor of the vehicle under their own weight.

The various panels are for example made of agglomerated wood 43. They can be made of any rigid material. The lower surfaces and these panels are preferably covered with a flexible lower lining material 43. The upper surfaces and these panels are preferably covered with a flexible upper lining material 41. These flexible materials are bonded together while around the panels for example by sewing and / or gluing. These flexible coating materials may for example consist of carpet, natural or synthetic leather or fabric.

The pivot connections 11, 12, 13, 14 between the panels are formed by the deformation of the flexible coating materials at their level. sewing and / or gluing. These links could be provided by any other means such as hinges.

Ils peuvent alternativement ou complémentairement être clipsés sur la barre transversale 31.The various panels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are based on a structure related to the vehicle body. At the front, a transverse bar 31 extends transversely from one side to the other of the box. This bar 31, shown in Figure 4, consists of a cylindrical metal tube materializing the axis 50. Two split rings 32 fixed at the front of this panel by means of screws 33 provide the connection of the main panel to the 31. These rings are made of an elastic material such as a plastic material. They are placed in position on the crossbar 31 by elastic deformation (clipping). Once in place, they bind the main panel 1 to the bar while allowing a relative movement of these elements around the transverse axis 50. The auxiliary panels 2 and 3 also rest on this crossbar 31. They come for their part simply support against this bar under their own weight. They can alternatively or complementarily be clipped on the crossbar 31.

At the rear, the panels bear under their own weight against brackets 8 and 9 attached to the side walls of the vehicle body or advantageously attached to the lashing hooks of the back of the rear seats of the vehicle. The horizontal parts of the brackets are long enough to extend to under the main panel 1, a length of a few centimeters. The horizontal parts of the brackets must be as short as possible so as not to impede the loading of goods into the vehicle.

When it is desired to load goods into the storage area by the rear hatch of the vehicle, after opening the tailgate, the rear of the main panel 1 which pivots about the axis 50 is raised. auxiliary panels 2 and 3 in contact with the tube 31 follow the same movement as the main panel 1. The side panels 4 and 5 rotate under their own weight around the joints 13 and 14. These panels and slide on the upper part. squares. When their rear edges are substantially perpendicular to the rear edge of the main panel 1, they allow to keep the main panel in the raised position. For this purpose, the upper surfaces of the horizontal portions of the brackets may have teeth or a significant coefficient of friction with the side panels.

When it is desired to load goods into the storage area through the right rear side door, after opening the door, the auxiliary panel 3 and the side panel 5 are folded onto the main panel 1.

As shown in FIG. 6, when it is desired to load goods having a large volume, the goods-handling device can be disassembled. Its side and auxiliary panels 2, 3, 4 and 5 are then folded over the main panel 1 to minimize its bulk. In this configuration, the device can be slid between the crossbar 31 of axis 50 and the front seats of the vehicle. The device then rests, on the one hand, on the floor 73 of the vehicle between two pads 71 and 72 positioning laterally the device and, on the other hand, on the crossbar 31. The pads are not necessarily connected to the floor. They can in particular be linked to the front wall of a plastic container defining the storage area of goods.

The previously described cargo cover device equips a vehicle whose cargo storage area is at the rear of the front seats. This cargo cover device could, however, just as well equip a vehicle with a goods storage area located elsewhere in the vehicle.
