Dans cette description, les termes de positionnement dans l'espace (longitudinal, transversal, endroit, envers,...) sont pris en référence à la tablette disposée dans le véhicule. 5 En référence aux figures 1, on décrit à présent une tablette 1 comprenant deux parties 2,3, de même dimension transversale et de dimension longitudinale similaire, disposées en regard l'une de l'autre selon une direction transversale T, lesdites parties étant associées entre elles de façon mobile en rotation l'une par rapport à l'autre selon un axe longitudinal 9 de sorte à permettre une 10 réduction de la dimension transversale de ladite tablette afin de la passer d'une configuration d'utilisation à une configuration de rangement. La partie 2 ù respectivement la partie 3 - comprend un corps rigide 4 ù respectivement un corps rigide 5. Une couche 6 de matériau de revêtement, tel 15 qu'une moquette, est associée sur la face supérieure des deux corps 4,5. La couche 6 forme une charnière souple 8, confondue avec l'axe 9. Un système de verrouillage 7 réversible, de type grenouillère , permet de maintenir les faces supérieures des corps 4,5 de façon coplanaire pour la 20 configuration d'utilisation (figure la).
