Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of snow sliding sports, and more precisely that of surfing or snowboarding. It concerns more specifically a new surf binding structure, which has advantageous terms of adjustment of the configuration of the contact surface between the shoe of the user and the base of the fixation.
- surf bindings for receiving shoes said "flexible" have a base which is secured to the board, and to which are connected other fasteners such as the rear gutter or straps Clamping.
- the base is frequently mounted on the board via a adjusting disc, located in the central part of the base, and allowing several pivoting positions of the base relative to the board. Because of the relative mechanical complexity of this adjustment disc, the need is felt to protect the latter with respect to snow intrusions as well as any shocks consecutive to the maneuvers of footwear.
- the shoes used with this type of fasteners present generally a sole whose lower surface is curved, to facilitate the movement of the step when the attachment is removed to compensate for the curvature of the front and / or back ends of the shoe, and therefore fill the space that separates them from the base. It is therefore known to equip the binding elements called "gas pedal” forming more or less inclined ramps located at the front and back end of the board.
- the elements forming the "gas pedal” can be adjustable by relative to the base, thanks to screwing mechanisms (or equivalent) inside longitudinal lights.
- the fixing comprises two elements adjustable front and rear, it is conceivable that the independent settings of each of the elements can cause a bad positioning of the shoe relative to the binding.
- the invention aims to solve the various problems mentioned above.
- the invention relates to a snowboard binding, which comprises a base arranged to receive the sole of the shoe of the user and a fastening element to the board, of the adjustment disc type, partly located central of the base.
- this attachment is characterized in that the base comprises two plates intended to receive the contact of the sole of the shoe, these two plates each having an adjustable longitudinal position and overlapping partially at their overlap area. Fixation also comprises locking means passing through the two plates for concomitantly anchor the two plates in the fastening element to the board.
- the invention aims to make the position of the two parts forming the upper surface of the base, so that a single blockage and allows to lock the position, thus limiting the number of operations performed when adjusting the attachment.
- the overlap of the two plates additionally provides the protection of the adjustment disk against risks of external blows.
- each of these plates may have a end which is raised to play the role of "gas pedal".
- the adjustment may be to keep the middle point of the shoe substantially constant.
- a fraction of the upper surface of the plates in particular its raised end, may be covered with a layer of elastomeric material, intended on the one hand to increase the coefficient of friction of the boot with respect to the binding, and secondly, to ensure a some absorption of vibrations due to its compressibility.
- a similar effect can be obtained when a fraction of the upper surface of the plates presents transverse grooves, playing the role of notching, thus avoiding that the foot does not so unexpectedly from the fastening when donning.
- the overlapping portions of the two plates partially interpenetrate, to ensure longitudinal guidance when their respective displacements.
- the shape of the plates is such that the facing surfaces form sliding rails that prevent everything from moving the plates out of the longitudinal direction.
- the underside of at least one plate can comprise mechanical means, and for example lugs cooperating with complementary components of the base to ensure longitudinal guidance of the moving the plate.
- locking can occur at a plurality of aligned holes, made on the overlapping parts of the plates.
- the fastener (1) which is illustrated in FIG. partially by focusing on the main aspects of the invention, ie the elements of the base of the binding.
- the base (2) therefore consists of a part bass (3) intended to come into contact with the upper face of the board.
- the face lower (4) is the lower part of the base (3) and is therefore substantially flat.
- the lower part (3) of the base comprises a central recess for receiving a mounting disc (5), illustrated schematically secured to the board, and arranged to allow pivoting of the base.
- the upper part of the binding that is to say the arch supporting the gutter back and the different tightening straps were not shown.
- the upper part of the base (2) comprises two plates (10, 11) which form the upper face of the base (2) on which comes to rest the underside of the sole of the user.
- the front plate (10) has a front end (12) which is raised so as to receive the supports from the front end of the shoe.
- This raised portion (12) may include a upper insert layer (15) made of an elastomeric material.
- She comprises a number of notches (13) made transversely, and which can take multiple forms, for example adapted to fingerprints of specific shoe. These notches (13) are oriented so as to limit the risk of seeing the shoe move forward when donning.
- the front plate (10) In its rear portion (14), the front plate (10) has a thickness less, which allows it to receive the front portion (16) of the back plate (11), without forming extra thickness.
- a step of height (17) separates the front (12) and rear (14) portions of the plate (10).
- the rear part (14) of the front plate (10) has a groove (18) oriented substantially longitudinally.
- This groove (18) is equipped a plurality of through holes (19).
- This groove (18) is intended for accommodate a boss (20) formed under the underside of the front portion (16) of the back plate (11).
- This boss (20) has dimensions substantially identical to those of the groove (18) to ensure interpenetration of the two plates (10, 11), and their longitudinal guiding.
- Notches may also be provided on the plate rear, in its front part (16), and / or in the raised area.
- a zone in material elastomer (24) can be arranged at the level of this raised zone, in a accommodation provided for this purpose.
- a plurality of holes (23) are also provided at the level of the zone median of the plate (11), with the same spacing as the bores (19) residing in the front plate (10).
- a locking element which is illustrated in Figure 1 by a screw (25), can pass through the bores (23, 19) of the two plates (11, 12) to be housed in the pivoting adjusting disc (5).
- the longitudinal adjustment of the plates (10, 11) can being ensured by the sliding of elements (28, 29) forming cleats, or even bent lugs under the underside of each plate.
- These cleats can slide in slots (30-33) made on the upper face of the lower part (3) of the base (2). These slots (30-33) may have one end (34) shifted to allow insertion of the lugs during the initial assembly of the fixation.
- the shapes of the plates (40,41) can be different from those illustrated in a simplified way in order to understand the operation of the invention.
- the front and / or rear plates can have overlapping areas.
- the binding according to the invention presents numerous advantages, and in particular that of allowing simultaneous adjustment and concomitant two plates forming the upper face of the base.
- two plates overlapping at the central part of the binding they protect the rental disc by concealing it.
