Definitions

  • the invention relates to a key and an associated standardized profile cylinder. Keys are known in which all cuts are made only over a partial width of the key back ( GB-A-1543940 ).
  • Such keys are usually inserted into the keyway of the standard profile cylinder. They point at their key-chest opposite the key-back is located on incisions, which serve to align the pin tumblers provided in the profile cylinder.
  • An access-authorized key aligns the pin tumblers so that they stand with a separation plane in the peripheral surface of the lock core, so that the lock core can then be rotated.
  • Such keys are made from so-called key blanks.
  • a key blank is initially bounded on its key breast, ie where the incisions are to be made, by a straight-line envelope extending between the key tip and the key crayon. The depth of the cuts varies from position to position, depending on the closure used in the profile cylinder.
  • the individual incisions are scanned one after the other and transferred to the new key blank via a correspondingly configured milling disc.
  • a key blank within the meaning of DIN 18252 is to be understood as a semifinished product provided with the longitudinal profile of the key to be copied, in which subsequently only the notches for aligning the pin tumblers must be inserted, a major danger is seen therein by means of more recent developments occurring profile milling machine to mill such a manufacturer-bound key blank from a simple rectangular profile.
  • the measures of the present invention lead to the conventional copy milling for producing the cuts in the key-chest to a difficult to even impossible scanning of the respective incision depth. At least the deep cuts are in fact covered by the protective wall, which is arranged immediately laterally next to the incisions. If you want to make a copy of a key according to this invention by conventional means, therefore, the protective wall must first be destroyed.
  • the key crops according to the rules DIN 18252 is to be provided with a corresponding identification, which identifies the key as a master key or general master key, can not be produced in a fair way replacement and additional key, without the original key has been improperly changed by removal of the protective wall.
  • the protective wall is located on only one wide area of the key. It covers the incisions from this side in such a way that no sharp-edged points are created, which can cause injuries or damage to the clothing.
  • the protective wall should be located at two diagonally opposite corners of the key profile.
  • this key can be configured as a so-called reversible key, which closes one and the same profile cylinder regardless of its insertion position.
  • the key - depending on its respective insertion position - actuate two different profile cylinder with independent locks.
  • the protective wall thus extends only on one side of the key cross-section and can therefore be configured in a straight line from the key tip to the key ridge.
  • the protective wall is used to guide the key profile in the keyway, which additionally at the foot of the protective wall, an additional guide rib can be provided which can be produced by simple longitudinal milling at the foot of the protective wall by conventional means.
  • the key fits over its entire width flush in the key channel and is also performed in the area of the protective wall on the wall of the key channel.
  • the protective wall carries on its side facing away from the wall of the key channel side incisions, there is an additional Kopiererhisnis because there the wall width of the protective wall is crucial for the technically perfect function of the key.
  • wall width of the protective wall may vary for the various cuts, a preferred embodiment refers to a consistent wall width for all cuts.
  • This measure facilitates warehousing and logistics as it requires pin tumblers of identical diameters.
  • This measure additionally reduces the risk that such keys are copied with profile milling machines.
  • the respective transition radii on the guide ribs and the profile-varying ribs may also differ from each other to further reduce the risk of improper copies.
  • the wall width of the protective wall can be dimensioned so that the core pins of Stiftzuiens on the side facing the incisions of the protective wall, a contact surface is provided, which forms a play-free sliding fit with the lateral surfaces of the core pins. If the wall width of the protective wall becomes larger than the wall width of the original if this key is copied inappropriately, the key fails its service. If the wall width, however, smaller than the wall width of the original, the leadership of the core pin, especially in fully extended state alone of the associated Bore in which the core pin is slidably guided, be adopted.
  • a reduced wall thickness leads to a weakening of the key cross-section at this point, since it should also be considered that so-called reversible keys each having opposite cuts, of which the deep cuts lead to a weakening of the key in this area.
  • the invention provides a remedy because the protective wall reinforces and stabilizes the key cross-section, especially in the area of the deep cuts.
  • An inadmissibly copied key with a reduced thickness of the protective wall at this point therefore also offers only a reduced stability, which leads to a further weakening of the key cross-section, especially in the case of inadmissible secondary keys / replacement keys, which were produced with a profile milling machine.
  • the protective wall on a key according to the present invention therefore fulfills a dual function.
  • 7 different cutting depths are provided for such a key, wherein z. B. the incisions are introduced with the small depths 0 to 3 in the additional longitudinal ribs, which are provided on a key blank according to claim 10, while the incisions with the large depths 4 to 6 are laterally adjacent to the protective wall.
  • the foot area between the longitudinal rib and the guide rib is rounded with a predetermined radius and a corresponding rounding provided in the key channel, in addition to complicate the production of "exactly matching" key blanks on profile milling machine.
  • the keyway is offset by a partial width of the key in the direction of the protective wall which acts on the pin tumblers when the key is inserted.
  • the key channel is thus offset from the diametrical plane in which the pin tumblers are laterally offset. In this way arise for the core pins where the keyway cuts the core holes, additional contact surfaces that serve the Hubbegrenzung of the core pin.
  • Due to the lateral offset of the key channel with respect to the diametral plane of the lock core can be on that Side of the keyway, which faces the stop surface of the core pins, accommodate the protective wall of the invention and it can be so fulfill the additional safety functions.
  • the 1a to 1f show different bowl cross sections, which can be produced from one and the same raw key.
  • This shows 1b shows a raw key of rectangular cross-section. From this, the key blanks 1 shown can be produced by removing the hatched area.
  • a key blank 1 when its cross section is determined by a rectangular envelope 2, wherein two diagonally opposite corners of the two transverse sides of the rectangular envelope 2 two identical longitudinal ribs 3,4 are provided.
  • the two longitudinal sides 5.6 of the rectangular envelope 2 serve the variation of the key longitudinal ribs.
  • Figure 1C a first embodiment in which a total of 8 key longitudinal ribs are variable, namely the key longitudinal ribs 8.1 to 8.8.
  • variable longitudinal key ribs are initiated in opposite directions to the key longitudinal ribs on the second longitudinal side 6.
  • variable key longitudinal ribs depends on the height 9a or 9b, resulting from the distance between the longitudinal rib 3 and 4 forming the respective key back and the flank of the first guide rib 7, 7 '.
  • this distance 9a is greater than in the embodiment 9b of FIG. 1f , so that the number of variable key longitudinal ribs in the case of FIG. 1f increased accordingly.
  • the longitudinal ribs 3 and 4 jump with respect to the longitudinal sides 5, 6 of the key blank 1 by an offset 10 inwards. This results in the foot of the longitudinal ribs 3,4 each have a guide rib 7, which serves to guide the finished key in the keyway of the lock cylinder.
  • the longitudinal ribs 3,4 project on the outer sides of the key in that area into which is encircled by the rectangular envelope 2, while at the same time the height 11 of the respective longitudinal rib in both embodiments on the opposite side is the same size.
  • This guide rib is not a variation rib but always rigid within a profile family, for example within the profile series of a general master key system.
  • the guide rib is usually manufactured with very narrow tolerances compared to the variation ribs.
  • a protective wall 20 is now provided which is arranged on the side of the key blank 1 opposite the longitudinal ribs 3, 4.
  • edges 12 opposite the respective longitudinal ribs 3, 4 are therefore part of each of these two protective walls 20, since the key cuts, as will be shown in more detail, do not extend over the entire width of the rectangular envelope 2.
  • FIG. 1b by way of example, a recess penetrating the longitudinal ribs 3 and 4, which extends into the material of the key blank 1 beyond the foot region of the longitudinal ribs 3, 4.
  • the width of the recess is smaller than the total width of the rectangular envelope 2, so that here on the longitudinal ribs 3 and 4 opposite side of the key blank 1 remains a protective wall 20, which is the subject of the present invention and which lies within this residual width.
  • FIGS. 1c, 1f the possibility of providing an additional longitudinal groove 13 in the longitudinal area of the key between the longitudinal ribs 3, 4 and the edge 12 opposite the longitudinal ribs on the key transverse surface, which corresponds to an additional longitudinal rib in the keyway provided on the side of the pin tumblers in the lock cylinder.
  • the additional Lpsychrille 13 requires in the production of the key blank a separate operation and must also be made precisely with regard to the profile adapted additional longitudinal rib in the keyway.
  • a key to this cross section would therefore fit as master key in all associated lock cylinder.
  • the plane of rotation of the lock core is denoted by 23. If the separation planes between core pins 21 and cylinder pins 22 are aligned so that all coincide with the plane of rotation 23, the lock core can be rotated in the profile cylinder.
  • the embodiment acc. 6a this shows a key 25, which is behind the rectilinear envelope 26 (see 2a, b ) between key top 27 and key chalk 28 recessed cuts 29a - 29f, which serve to align the lying in a diametral plane of the lock core 30 and there in a row successively Stiftzuiensen 21; 22 serve.
  • the pin tumblers 21, 22 lie here in the plane of the paper, which coincides with the diametral plane of the lock core 30.
  • the cuts of the key 25 are alternately deep, high, deep, high, deep, high.
  • the pin tumblers designated "deep” are seated in the key with great depth in the cuts.
  • the tips of the core pins are covered by the protective wall 20, which lies here above the plane of the paper. This is possible because the incisions with great depth extend only over a partial width of the key back, so that the remaining width of the key back not covered by the portion of the incisions can form a protection wall 20 laterally projecting beyond the incisions.
  • the protective wall 20 extends in a straight line between the key tip 27 and key crest 28th
  • the pin tumblers designated "high”, however, are seated in incisions which are made in the longitudinal surfaces of the longitudinal ribs 3 and 4, which are located at the top or at the bottom.
  • Figure 6b shows the situation without a key.
  • the 6C shows the associated profile of the key. It can be seen that one of the longitudinal ribs 3 and 4, since it is a reversible key moves along the lower longitudinal edge of the keyway 31, while the longitudinal edge of the upper longitudinal rib 4 and 3 parallel to a corresponding recess in the upper region of the keyway is displaceable.
  • the protective wall 20 is seen over the entire length of a rectangular plan view and with respect to the broadside of the key, in the present case, at the longitudinal ribs 3,4 opposite edges 12 is not rounded.
  • FIG. 7a shows the lock cylinder, suitable for a key according to the present invention, without an inserted key.
  • the construction pins 21b, c together with the core pin 21 form a three-part core pin configuration with a total of three possible access positions, which are to be aligned depending on the respective recesses in the key in terms of the rotational mobility of the lock core.
  • the pin tumblers are arranged in a diametral plane 32 of the lock core 30.
  • the keyway 31 is offset from the diametral plane 32 of the lock core 30 in the direction in which the protective wall 20 of the inserted key 25 shows.
  • Figure 7b also shows the profile cylinder according to 7a with inserted key blank.
  • the tip of the core pins 21 is aligned in a straight line through the longitudinal edge of the longitudinal rib 4.
  • the key blank does not have the correct incision depths, it does not come to the rotational mobility of the lock core.
  • the lock core can not be turned.
  • the protective wall 20 abuts with a lateral contact surface 34 against the core pins 21 of the pin tumbler.
  • the Width of the protective wall 20 is made in the sense of a longitudinal and transverse sliding freedom between its pin tumblers facing surface and the keyway 31 corresponding to its contour recess.
  • the 3a to 3c show a reversible key with paracentric profile. It can be seen that longitudinal ribs of the keyway overlap in the vertical direction. This offers the advantage of difficult scanning of the pin tumblers (not shown).
  • the keyway 31 matches in its profile exactly with the cross-sectional profile of the key 25.
  • a master key of the highest profile order is inserted into a keyway 31 provided with variation ribs.
  • the cross-section of the main master key corresponds to the smallest possible cross-section of the key channel, while the three-piece core pin configuration of core pin 21 and the existing post pins 21b, c, the closure of the lock cylinder is adapted to the existing in this level of the closing incision depth of the master key.
  • Such a master key would also fit into a key channel corresponding to 4b and 5b on its side facing the pin tumblers an additional longitudinal rib 35 which corresponds to achieve a selective access authorization in a subordinate key with an additional longitudinal groove 13 of the key profile (s. 5c ).
  • the embodiment according to 5a shows a key with single profile, as it could occur in a general master key locking system.
  • the key profile has an additional longitudinal groove 13, which corresponds to a corresponding longitudinal rib 35 in the keyway 31.
  • the other three incisions in the direction of the key crop are shallow cuts provided in the longitudinal ribs 3, 4.
  • the key is designed as a reversible wrench, which provides access in two mutually offset by 180 degrees insertion positions in one and the same profile cylinder admission.
  • the profiling of the key has the variation serving longitudinal ribs 8.1, 8.3, 8.5 and 8.6. Thus, this key is of minor qualification.
  • the embodiment according to 2b does not have these keyed longitudinal ribs serving the variation. This key fits into keyways of any number and arrangement of variation ribs of the same key profile series.
  • the three incisions of shallow depth are provided in the area of the key tip. There they are located on the longitudinal edges of the longitudinal ribs 3,4.
  • the large depth cuts are located in the key ridge facing the end of the key back. There, the protective wall 20 is formed by the incision depth.
  • Figure 2c an embodiment as a reversible key, which is usable in two mutually offset by 180 degrees insertion positions.
  • each insertion position is assigned to another profile cylinder with a different closure.
