Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for introducing a web, in particular a paper or board web, into a reel winding apparatus in which at least one reel rests on at least one support roller, wherein a beginning of the web by a nip between the support roller and the reel and then over the vertex of the winding roll leads, wherein the beginning of the web in a lower portion of the winding roll attached to the circumference of the winding roll and the winding roll at least as long until the beginning of the web reaches the apex of the winding roll.
  • the invention relates to a roll winding device for winding a web, in particular a paper or board web, to a winding roll with at least one support roll, a nip between the winding roll and the support roll and a guide device for guiding a beginning of the web over the vertex of the winding roll the guide device has a fastening device arranged below the winding roll with which the beginning of the web can be connected to the circumference of the winding roll.
  • Such a method and such a reel winding device are for example from the document US 5,577,684 known.
  • Paper or board webs must be wound up in a final stage of their production into winding rolls so that they remain manageable.
  • Such winding rolls in the finished state have a width in the order of 0.3 to 3.8 m and a diameter in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 m.
  • the incoming web is wider than the later desired width. For this reason, the web is still divided in the longitudinal direction just before the reel winder.
  • the partial webs formed thereby are wound up on partial web rolls, which are arranged side by side.
  • the invention will be described below with reference to a single winding roll. However, it is obvious that one has to proceed in the use of several adjacent bobbins accordingly.
  • the operator disconnects the beginning of the new web and connects the thus formed new web start with the end of the wound on the winding roll web in a conventional manner.
  • the end of the wound on the winding roll web has been pruned in the rule before. Between the beginning of the new web and the end of the wound web is thus a splice.
  • the invention has for its object to facilitate the handling of the web after a demolition.
  • This object is achieved in a method of the type mentioned above in that it solves the web after exceeding the vertex of the winding roll.
  • the attachment of the web to the winding roll is therefore only temporary.
  • an automatic handling of the beginning of the web is possible.
  • For the attachment of the beginning of the incoming web at the end of the already wound web can then possibly use other mounting options.
  • a tip is made prior to insertion of the web into the nip and the web is secured in the area of the nib on the winding roll.
  • a tip is much easier to handle than a web that still has its full width. In particular, such a tip can be easily grasped by the operator and further pulled off, until the web has reached its full width again.
  • an adhesive is applied to the web and adhered to the web at the periphery of the winding roll.
  • This adhesive may be an adhesive that is sprayed onto the web, applied with a form roller, or applied using a squeegee. It can also be a double-acting adhesive tape.
  • the application of adhesive can be limited to a relatively small area, because the adhesive application is only intended to effect a bond that is strong enough to secure the beginning of the web to the circumference of the winding roll until the winding roll has rotated far enough.
  • the adhesive is applied prior to passing through the nip. It is therefore used that the adhesive bond between the circumference of the winding roll and the web when passing through the web is acted upon by the nip with a force. This force is greater, the heavier the winding roll. This is especially the case when the winding roll has already reached a larger diameter.
  • the holding force of an adhesive bond is in many cases also dependent on the pressure or the force with which the splice is compressed after the joining of the two parts involved in the adhesive bond. Accordingly, one can assume that you get a firmer connection with heavier bobbins. But this is an effect that is desired. For larger bobbins, the beginning of the web over a longer distance on the circumference of the winding roll must be kept as a smaller diameter of the winding roll.
  • the web is fed below the carrier roll and applies the adhesive below the carrier roll.
  • the support roller can then be used as an abutment in the application of the adhesive, which is particularly advantageous if a double-acting adhesive strip is used as the adhesive.
  • Below the support roller is usually still sufficient space for the accommodation of an adhesive applicator available.
  • the fastening device comprises an adhesive applicator which temporarily connects the beginning of the web via an adhesive with the circumference of the winding roll, so that it can be released again from the winding roll after exceeding the vertex ,
  • the adhesive applicator applies an adhesive to the web or to the circumference of the winding roll. This adhesive then provides for the attachment of the web to the circumference of the winding roll.
  • the adhesive application device is arranged below the support roller, wherein the web wraps around the support roller from below.
  • the support roller it is possible to use the support roller as an abutment for the applicator.
  • a double-acting adhesive tape is used as the adhesive, it may be convenient for the web to rest on a firm base when applying the adhesive tape.
  • the application of an adhesive below the support roller also ensures the correct distance between the application of the adhesive and the passage of the nip between the winding roll and the support roller, in which the actual connection between the winding roll and the beginning of the web.
  • guide means are provided which guide the beginning of the web to the nip, the guide means acting outside a track on the web in which the adhesive applicator is arranged.
  • This embodiment has the advantage that the guide means, such as pinch rollers or guide plates, are not contaminated by adhesive, which is applied by the adhesive applicator to the web.
  • a web-start sensor is provided which activates the fastener in response to the passage of the beginning of the web.
  • the introduction of the beginning of the web into the roll winder can be at least partially automated.
  • Fig. 1 schematically shows a part of a reel winding device 1 with two support rollers 2, 3, on which a winding roller 4 rests, which is also shown as a smaller winding roll 4 '.
  • a web 5 is wound, for example, characterized in that one of the two support rollers 2, 3 is driven.
  • the web 5 wraps around a support roller 2 from below and then passes through a nip 6 between the winding roller 4 and the support roller. 2
  • the web 5 in the present embodiment is a paper web.
  • the web 5 is cut before winding in longitudinal strips of predetermined width.
  • the width of these strips is in the range of 0.3 to 3.8 m.
  • Each of these strips is then wound into a separate winding roll, wherein the winding rolls are axially parallel on the support rollers 2, 3. This is not shown in the drawing. Also required for longitudinal cutting of the web 5 knives are not shown here.
  • the winding roll 4, 4 ' is formed by the web 5 is fixed to a winding tube 7.
  • the winding tube 7, for example, has a diameter of the order of 15 cm.
  • a finished winding roll 4 may well have a diameter of the order of 2.5 m.
  • the web 5 occasionally breaks off during winding. There can be many reasons for this, which should not be discussed in detail. If the break occurs before the winding roll 4 is finished, then the web 5 must be reinserted into the roll winding apparatus 1. It then connects the beginning of the newly supplied web with the end of the already wound on the winding roll 4 web. Although the finished winding roll then contains a splice. With a corresponding mark this splice, the winding roll can still be further processed in a conventional manner.
  • the time at which an outline occurs is not predictable.
  • the break can thus occur when the winding roll 4 'still has a comparatively small diameter. It can also occur when the winding roll 4 has a larger diameter or is almost completed.
  • the winding roll 4 is first decelerated.
  • the torn-off end of the web, which is wound on the winding roll 4, is straightened, preferably by a cut or a tear line, which runs axially parallel to the winding roll 4.
  • a tip 8 is cut at the beginning of the web 5 to be fed again to the roll winding apparatus 1 and guides this tip 8 with guide aids 9, 10 into the nip 6 between the inlet-side support roll 2 and the winding roll 4.
  • an adhesive application device 11 arranged below the inlet-side support roll 2 , which applies an adhesive 12 to the web 5, for example in the form of a double-acting adhesive tape.
  • the guide aids 9, 10 are arranged laterally offset in the axial direction to the adhesive applicator, so that the adhesive 12 is guided centrally between the guide aids, without polluting them.
  • the web 5 sticks with its tip 8 at the beginning of the winding roll 4 firmly. If the winding roller 4 is further rotated in the direction of arrow 13, then it transports the tip 8 on. Once the tip 8 has reached the apex 14 of the roller 4, an operator can grasp the tip 8 and tighten. The web 5 is again cut to width. When the full width web has arrived on the downstream side of the winding roll 4, the operator can sever the tip 8 from the newly fed web and connect the new web end to the old web end in a conventional manner, for example also with a double acting adhesive tape.
  • a new web is introduced from the outset, for example, at the beginning of a winding process, then this web passes in the form of the top 8 forcibly guided from below into the gusset between the two support rollers 2, 3 and then rises between the two rollers, so that the operator the tip 8 can easily grab. As soon as the web 5 has reached its full width, the operator tears off the tip with a serrated knife. Now, the new cores 7 are inserted into the winding bed between the support rollers 2, 3. If these are pre-glued, there is no need for separate gluing of the web. If they are not pre-glued, then the web 5 is glued. Also in this case, the adhesive applicator 11 can be used.
  • a sensor 15 is arranged, which detects when the tip 8 arrives. If the speed of the incoming web 5 is known, then the sensor 15 can timed the adhesive application device 11 so that the adhesive 12 is applied only to a predetermined region of the tip 8 of the web 5.
