Claims (16)
- An apparatus for aligning sheets (10; 11; 12) transversely to the direction of travel (L) of the sheets, wherein a suction roller (05) conveying a sheet (10; 11; 12) is arranged so as to move the sheet (10; 11; 12) against a side lay mark (03), wherein the rotating suction roller (05) comprises a plurality of segments with suction apertures (06) in the peripheral direction, wherein each segment sucks on another sheet (10; 11; 12) to be aligned, wherein the suction roller (05) is arranged so as to act upon the sheets (10; 11; 12) from above.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) comprises two segments with suction apertures (06) in the peripheral direction.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that at least two sheets (10; 11; 12) are arranged in an imbricated manner one above the other in the direction of travel (L) of the sheets.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that one longitudinal axis in the suction roller (05) is arranged substantially in the direction of travel (L) of the sheets (10; 11; 12).
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that a ratio of a length (105) of an effective holding face of the suction roller (05) in the longitudinal direction to a width (b05) of the effective holding face in the transverse direction is greater than 3, and preferably greater than 5.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) is arranged on a feeder table (01).
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that on its periphery the rhythmically running suction roller (05) has at least one segment with suction apertures (06) and one segment without apertures, and a stationary suction-air tube (21) is arranged in such a way inside the rotatably mounted suction roller (05) that only one narrow strip of all the air apertures is acted upon with suction air in order to suck on and convey laterally a sheet (10; 11; 12) situated below the suction roller (05) through a narrow slot over the length of the suction roller (05).
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) has suction apertures (06) all round and rotates rhythmically or freely and the suction air is supplied in a clock-timed manner by way of a slot-like nozzle (22) inside the suction roller (05) and directed downwards.
- An apparatus according to Claim 7, characterized in that the active, narrow and long suction-air strip - situated below - of the suction roller (05) is arranged between a tolerance area (13) of sheets (10; 11; 12) running in and a lateral edge - aligned offset - of a sheet (10; 11; 12) running out.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that up to three sheets (10; 11; 12) are retained at the same time in the region of the suction roller (05), under it and parallel to it, even during the active drawing of the sheets.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that an imbrication interval of the sheets (10; 11; 12) on a feeder table (01) is so small that, when the suction apparatus drawing from above is running, a following sheet (10; 11; 12) is already moving under a sucked-on sheet (10; 11; 12) in the direction of the front lay marks (02).
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) rotates a half turn and has two mutually opposed suction-air segments and, between them, a slightly smaller radius.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) is driven by way of a separate motor in synchronism with a press arranged downstream.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) is driven by way of a separate motor in synchronism with a press arranged downstream in a mechanical manner by way of a splined shaft rotating transversely below the feeder table (01) and with displaceable bevel gears.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1 or 8, characterized in that a drive of the suction roller (05) permits a format adjustment transverse to the direction of travel (L) of the sheets.
- An apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the suction roller (05) adjustable in accordance with the sheet format is driven from a fixed driving point by means of a flexible shaft arranged above the feeder table (01).
