Description

The invention relates to a sealing tape for sealing joints in the construction industry with a core of soft foam having a first and a second outer surface, wherein on at least one of the outer surfaces as an overstretch protection a Zugverstärkungsschicht is applied.

Such sealing tapes are used for years in the construction industry for sealing joints. Especially in the production of sandwich panels, large-volume components with two metal skins, is injected between the polyurethane foam, which glued the two metal skins together, sealing tapes are already used during foaming, as a lateral seal to prevent the foam leakage. The sealing strip normally remains permanently connected to the sandwich element after production and is compressed when two sandwich elements are joined, whereby the foam optimally adapts to the joint flank and the gap is filled in perfectly. Such sealing tapes consist for example of polyurethane foam, which is impregnated by impregnation with an aqueous acrylate dispersion. A tensile reinforcement layer can additionally serve as an overstretch protection.

Sometimes it is necessary to remove sealing strips completely or partially from the joint of the not yet finally mounted sandwich element. The reason for this is e.g. the installation of a Fingerklemmschutzes with moving elements. Sealing tapes according to the prior art are usually difficult to remove from the joint, as they can not be deducted in one piece, but tear or at least leave parts of the sealing strip in the joint. Other sealing tapes in turn do not form sufficient adhesion to the foam filling of the sandwich element and fall out of the joint during the processing thereof.

Such a sealing element is known for example from DE-A-196 09 277. The sealing tape has a soft foam core having first and second outer surfaces disposed opposite one another, with a tensile reinforcing layer on the first outer surface, to which a film is in turn attached.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a sealing tape which ensures a secure seal during the foaming of the sandwich element, adheres well to the sandwich element and can still be easily or completely removed from the joint as needed after the manufacture of the sandwich element.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1.

Characterized in that on the at least one Zugverstärkungsschicht a film is attached, which contains suitable lubricant and is designed such that it adheres to a foam body, but easily and residue-free of this solvable, the sealing tape fulfills its task as a sealing body very reliable, can but can be completely or partially removed from the Sandwichelementfuge if necessary without much effort.

The foam core is preferably made of polyurethane, which ensures a particularly secure sealing of the joint due to the elastic properties of the flexible foam and the resulting resilience.

Preferably, the foam core is impregnated, the impregnate having a delayed recovery of the foam causing property, so that the sealing tape can be used even at high compression.

As an impregnate, an aqueous acrylate dispersion is preferably used, which increases the density of the sealing tape about three times and thus provides excellent sound absorption.

Hierin zeigt:

Further details, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description with reference to the drawings. Hereby shows:
Fig. 1
a preferred embodiment of the sealing strip according to the invention;
Fig. 2
a plant for the production of sandwich panels; and
Fig. 3
a preferred embodiment of a sandwich element with a sealing strip according to the invention.

In Fig. 1, a preferred embodiment of the sealing strip 1 according to the invention is shown. The sealing tape 1 is an elongated body, which is produced in endless production and usually wound on coils (rolls) in run lengths of 20 m to 1000 m becomes. The sealing tape 1 has a foam core 3, which consists of a resilient foam with high resilience. Preferably, an elastic, open-cell flexible polyurethane foam is used for this purpose. The thickness of such a foam core 3 is between 3 mm and 15 mm, its width between 5 mm and 150 mm.

The foam core 3 is preferably impregnated with an impregnate having a delayed recovery of the foam causing property. Preferably, an impregnate based on an aqueous acrylate solution is used, through which the sealing strip 1 also receives an approximately three times higher density, so that the impregnated foam core 3 absorbs sound excellent and thus causes an effective sound insulation in later use.

The foam core 3 has a first outer surface 5, which is intended to face the sandwich element during installation, and a second outer surface 7, which lies opposite the first outer surface 5. At least on the first outer surface 5, a Zugverstärkungsschicht 4 is applied, which serves as overstretch protection. The Zugverstärkungsschicht 4 consists of a reinforcing layer of plastic material, such as an acrylate coating, or from a Gittergelege, which is preferably formed from glass fibers. It is also possible to combine both types.

On the at least one tensile reinforcement layer 4, a film is applied, which adheres firmly to the Zugverstärkungsschicht 4. This film 9 is preferably made of thermoplastic polyurethane, wherein, for example, a heat-adhesive film is used as an adhesive on the surface facing the Zugverstärkungsschicht 4 in order to ensure the secure connection. Due to the composition of the film 9, although this sufficiently adheres to foams, but it can be deducted easily and without residue because of suitable, integrated in the film lubricant again. The film 9 and / or the tensile reinforcement 4 should be so dense that when foaming the Sandwich element with polyurethane foam that does not penetrate into the foam core 3 or foamed. The cured foam would otherwise prevent an exact joining of two sandwich elements in the later use. Temperature stability of up to 90 ° C for a short time is also required for production reasons. Overall, the sealing tape should have a joint permeability coefficient of less than 0.1 m 3 / hm.

Fig. 2 shows a plant for the production of sandwich elements using a sealing strip according to the invention. First, the two wound on coils metal skins 11, 13 (made of steel or aluminum sheet) unwound, surface-treated 15 and provided with an edge profiling 17, in which the tongue and groove geometries of each model are formed. After a preheating 19 of the metal skins 11, 13, the foaming 21 with polyurethane foam, which is mixed in a metering system 23 and applied to the lower metal skin 11 via a rake, foams and cures there, whereby the two metal skins 11 and 13 are glued. To seal the longitudinal joints at least one inventive sealing tape 1 is used, which prevents the foam outlet. The sealing tape 1 is guided over each of the shape of the edge profiling of the metal skins 11, 13 and the joint geometry adapted blocks and positioned at the desired locations. The blocks are individual links of a chain, the so-called block chain 25. For this purpose, the sealing strip 1 according to the invention is wound on a reel (not shown). After leaving the foaming station, the sandwich element can be cooled and cut.

Längenänderungen der Dehnungsfuge werden ausgeglichen, so daß keine Risse oder eine mangelnde Haftung auftreten.FIG. 3 shows an example of a connection of two preferred sandwich elements 27 with a sealing strip 1 according to the invention. The sandwich elements 27 each show the two metal skins 11, 13, between which a foam layer 29 is introduced. The sealing tape 1 closes the joint 31 of the sandwich element 27, so that no foam could escape during the foaming of the sandwich element 27. Between foam layer 29 of the sandwich element 27 and the film 9 of the sealing strip 1 is an adhesive connection. The assembly of sandwich elements requires an exact joining and compression of the sealing strips. Often up to 4 m high sandwich elements are pressed together with equally long joint. The sandwich elements are finally connected together by means of conventional fastening means such as screws. The sealing tape provides the perfect soundproof, weatherproof seal of the joint. Length changes of the expansion joint are compensated, so that no cracks or a lack of adhesion occur.

Due to the properties of the film 9 but the sealing strip can also be withdrawn in whole or in part before the final assembly of the joint, without residues thereof remain in the joint or pieces of the foam layer 29 are pulled out with. This may be necessary, for example, when a Fingerklemmschutz is to be mounted on movable elements.

The sealing strip according to the invention can also be configured in other variations, in particular, size relationships and geometric details are not restrictive. Often two sealing strips according to the invention are arranged in a joint, which then come to rest on each other when the sandwich elements are pressed against one another.
