Description

Herstellung von lösungsmittelfreiem Treibladungspulver
Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Explosivstoffen nach dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1.
Im Rahmen dieser Erfindung sind unter dem Begriff "Explosivstoffe" explosionsgefährliche und/oder explosionsfähige, insbesondere feste, flüssige und gelatinöse, Stoffe und
Stoffgemische zu verstehen, die zur Verwendung als Sprengstoffe, Treibstoffe, Zündstoffe oder als pyrotechnische Sätze dienen oder zu deren Herstellung verwendet werden.
Explosivstoffe, und insbesondere Treibladungspulver werden für zahlreiche Anwendungen, wie beispielsweise in der Sprengtechnik oder zum Antrieb von Geschossen benötigt.
Üblicherweise wird hierbei gefordert, daß der Explosivstoff respektive die Treibladung in einer bestimmten Form, beispielsweise als Pulver oder als Granulat, als Würfel oder in kompakter Form unterschiedlicher Größe vorliegt, wobei sich jedoch aus der Explosivität des Explosivrohstoffes, beispielsweise auf Nitrocellulose- und/oder Nitroglycerinbasis, eine besondere Problematik hinsichtlich der Verarbeitung desselben ergibt.
So wird bei der Herstellung von Treibladungspulver grundsätzlich in Prozesse mit und ohne Lösungsmittel unterschieden.
Bei der Herstellung der Treibladungspulver ohne Lösungsmittel (POL-Pulver) wird nach einer herkömmlichen Prozeßführung von einer wasserfeuchten Nitrocellulose/Sprengöl-Mischung ausgegangen. Diese wird auf beheizten Walzwerken entwässert und gelatiniert. Dies erfolgt manuell oder teilautomatisiert mit sehr aufwendigen Einrichtungen, wobei am Ende des Walzvorgangs ein Fell erzeugt wird, das zu einem Wickel gerollt und in einer hydraulischen Presse zu einer gewünschten Geometrie extrudiert wird.
Demgegenüber offenbart die US 4,963,296 bzw. die damit korrespondierende EP 0 288 505 Bl bzw. DE 36 35 296 AI ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von Treibladungspulver in einem lösungsmittelfreiem Prozeß bei dem eine wasserfeuchte Pulverrohmasse bei erhöhter Temperatur in einer Scherwalze geknetet wird. Die Pulverrohmasse wird hierzu kontinuierlich zugeführt, als gelatinierte Masse am Stirnende der Scherwalze kontinuierlich abgenommen und unmittelbar im Anschluß daran kontinuierlich granuliert. Das entstehende Granulat wird dann fortlaufend einem Extruder zugeführt, mittels dem es zu Pulversträngen gepreßt wird, die durch Schneiden oder eine andere Endbehandlung zum fertigen Pulver verarbeitet werden.
Hinsichtlich des Entwässems und Gelatinierens stellt dieses Verfahren eine erhebliche Verbesserung des erstgenannten POL-Prozesses dar, wobei die Verarbeitung des Granulats in einem Extruder bisher nicht auf sichere Weise gewährleistet werden konnte, da beim Verpressen des Granulats hohe Massedrücken in der Presse erzeugt werden, was erhebliche sicherheitstechnische Bedenken und Probleme mit sich bringt. Um diesen zu begegnen wurde das Granulat deshalb mit originärem wasserfeuchten Rohmaterial vermischt und erst anschließend auf einer Walze zu einem Fell ausgewalzt und weiterverarbeitet. Das Rollen zu einem Wickel und das Verpressen zu einer gewünschten Geometrie erfolgt nach dem oben bereits beschriebenen herkömmlichen Verfahren.
Außer einer umständlichen Arbeitsweise wirft das letztgenannte Verfahren jedoch auch erhebliche Probleme auf. So weist der hergestellte Wickel Inhomogenitäten auf, die auf einer unterschiedlich guten bzw. einer weniger guten Gelatinierung der miteinander vermischten und bereits entwässerten sowie gelatinierten bzw. wasserfeuchten Rohmaterialien beruhen. Diese machen sich qualitativ negativ bemerkbar, so daß ein Großteil des Treibladungspulvers immer noch nach dem erstgenannten herkömmlichen Walzverfahren hergestellt wird.
Demgemäß liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren nach der EP 0 288 505 Bl dahingehend weiterzubilden, daß ein entwässertes und gelatiniertes Granulat in einfacher und kostengünstiger Weise unter Vermeidung der oben genannten, insbesondere sicherheitsrelevanten Probleme zu einem Explosivstoff auf Salpetersäureesterbasis, und insbesondere zu einem lösungsmittelfreien Treibladungspulver, verarbeitet werden kann.
Die Aufgabe wird durch ein Verfahren nach dem Patentanspruch 1 gelöst.
Insbesondere wird die Aufgabe durch ein Verfahren gelöst, bei dem ein phlegmatisierter, insbesondere wasserfeuchter Explosivrohstoff durch Entwässern, Gelatinieren und Verarbeiten des Explosivrohstoffes zu einem Granulat verarbeitet wird, wobei das Granulat unmittelbar nach einem Granulieren mittels einer isostatischen Presse zu einem Block geformt wird, der anschließend sofort auf herkömmliche Weise unproblematisch weiterverarbeitet oder für eine spätere Weiterbehandlung in einem Wärmebehälter gelagert wird.
Ein wesentlicher Punkt der Erfindung liegt darin, daß das Granulat der isostatischen Presse in noch warmen und plastischem Zustand zugeführt wird.
Hierdurch wird vermieden, daß abgekühltes oder verhärtetes Granulat in der Presse aufeinanderstößt und beim Verpressen an den Berührungsflächen bzw. an den Wandungen der Presse sicherheitsrelevant hohe Druckbereiche aufbaut.
Durch die Verwendung von warmen Granulat wird erfindungsgemäß ausgenutzt, daß dieses leicht plastisch verformbar ist und bereits ohne bzw. bei einer geringen Anwendung von Druck zum Fließen neigt, so daß sich ein Preßvorgang auf sehr sanfte Weise realisieren läßt.
Als ein wesentlicher Grundgedanke der Erfindung wird zur Erzeugung des Preßdrucks eine isostatische Presse verwendet, da sich in dieser ein auf eine Flüssigkeit bzw. eine plastische
Maße einwirkender Druck nach allen Seiten gleichmäßig ausbreitet. Somit wird die Erzeugung von "Druckspitzen" vermieden, was bei der Verwendung von herkömmlichem Granulat und einer herkömmlichen Presse, einem Extruder oder dergleichen Kompressionsvorrichtung praktisch unvermeidlich ist.
Aufgrund der isostatischen Preßweise ist es somit möglich auf schonende Weise aus dem plastischem Granulat einen Block zu formen, wobei bei der Verdichtung eine sehr gleichmäßige Dichte des Blocks erreicht und aufgrund der sehr sanften Verdichtung nur wenig Reibung erzeugt wird, die nur ein, verglichen mit den vorgenannten Verfahren, sehr geringes Sicherheitsrisiko beinhaltet.
Gemäß einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung wird die isostatische Presse beheizt, so daß während des isostatischen Verpressens eine definierte Temperatur und somit Plastizität des
Explosivstoffs eingestellt werden kann. Auf dieses Weise wird vermieden, daß das zu verpressende Material vorzeitig, beispielsweise durch einen Kontakt mit der Wandung der Presse, abkühlt und/oder verhärtet.
Das isostatische Pressen kann nach einer Naß- oder Trockenmatrizentechnik durchgeführt werden, wobei die Trockenmatrizentechnik aufgrund geringerer Taktzeiten sowie der Möglichkeit kleinere Mengen zu verarbeiten bevorzugt wird. Aufgrund der geringeren Taktzeit ist die Trockenmatrizentechnik somit auch für einen hohen Durchsatz und für hohe Stückzahlen gut geeignet. Durch die mehrachsige Druckeinwirkung beim Trockenpressen re- sultiert ein hohes und fast völlig gleichmäßiges Verdichtungsverhalten, das zu einer sehr gleichmäßigen Dichte des erzeugten Blocks führt. Somit ist die Produktivität und Wirtschaftlichkeit dieses isostatischen Preßvorgangs als gut bis sehr gut zu beurteilen.
Die Temperierung des Druckgefäßes kann mittels eines Thermostaten über, beispielsweise Heizelemente, bevorzugt jedoch durch ein temperiertes Wasser- oder Ölbad oder dergleichen bekannte Temperiereinrichtungen erfolgen.
Wie bereits erwähnt ist die isostatische Presse vorzugsweise beheizt, so daß das isostatische Pressen bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 30° C bis 130° C, bevorzugt bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 50° Celsius bis 110° Celsius und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 70° C bis 95° C durchgeführt wird. Gegenüber der herkömmlichen Verarbeitung des Granulats in einer hydraulischen Blockpresse weist das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren den Vorteil auf, daß für eine Blockbildung aufgrund der weitgehenden Vermeidung einer gegenseitigen Reibung der Granallien aneinander die Erzeugung von Wärme innerhalb des Preßguts praktisch vermieden wird. Darüber hinaus weist das zusammenfließende plastische
Preßgut eine gegenüber einem Granulat geringere Oberfläche auf, was zu geringeren Wärmeverlusten und einer damit einhergehenden leichteren Temperierbarkeit des Preßguts einhergeht. Obiges gilt auch für den erzeugten Explosivstoffblock. Zudem wird eine Reaktionsoberfläche drastisch verringert, was die Gefahr eines ungewollten Abbrandes verringert.
Gemäß einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung wird das isostatische Pressen unter einem, gegenüber Atmosphärendruck, reduziertem Druck insbesondere einen Vakuum durchgeführt. Der Begriff Vakuum umfaßt hierbei den Bereich eines Wasserstrahlvakuums bis hin zu einem den Dampfdruck der eingesetzten Stoffe korrespondierenden Dampfdruck. Der tatsächlich angewandte Unterdruck richtet sich hierbei nach der eingesetzten Explosivstoffmischung, dem verbliebenen Wassergehalt in derselben sowie dem gewünschten Gütegrad des Blocks. So ist es durch das Anlegen von Unterdruck zum einen möglich verbliebenes Wasser aus der zu verpressenden Mischung abzuziehen als auch die Gefahr von Lufteinflüssen in dem Block zu minimieren.
Gemäß einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung wird in der isostatischen Presse ein Preßdruck im Bereich von 10 x 106 Pa bis 50 x 106 Pa, bevorzugt im Bereich von 25 x 106 Pa bis 35 x 106 Pa und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 28 x 106 Pa bis 32 x 106 Pa angewandt. Somit kann der Preßdruck bzw. Massedruck und die daraus resultierende Dichte des Preßlings in sehr weiten Grenzen variiert werden, so daß beispielsweise bei einem verbliebenen relativ hohem Wassergehalt in dem Granulat ein höherer Preßdruck oder bei einer thermodynamisch sensiblen Explosivstoffmischung ein niedrigerer Preßdruck angewandt werden kann. Somit ist das erfϊndungsgemäße Verfahren vielseitig zur Verarbeitung unterschiedlichster Explosivstoffe und Explosivstoffmischungen geeignet.
An dieser Stelle sei erwähnt, daß sich das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren allgemein auf die Herstellung ein- und zweibasige Pulver, sowie auf dreibasige Pulver mit der Prämisse einer
Lösungsmittelfreiheit bezieht. Außer Nitrocellulosepulver und Nitroglycerinpulver sind auch Nitroguanidinpulver sowie von flüssigen Salpetersäureestern abgeleitete Pulver von Diglykoldinitrat, Triglykoldinitrat, Methrioldinitrat und Butantrioltrinitrat von der Erfindung umfaßt.
Gemäß einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung wird das Entwässern, Gelatinieren und Granulieren des Explosivrohstoffs mittels einer Scherwalze und einer unmittelbar daran anschließenden Granuliervorrichtung bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 30° C bis 130° C, bevorzugt bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 50° C bis 110° C und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 70° C bis 95° C durchgeführt. Der sich daraus ergebende Vorteil besteht darin, daß das Granulat beim Verlassen der Granuliervorrichtung somit bereits eine geeignete Temperatur für die Weiterverarbeitung in der isostatischen Presse aufweist. Somit ist weder ein Kühlen noch ein zusätzliches Erwärmen des warmen Granulats für eine Weiterverarbeitung notwendig. Darüber hinaus gewährleistet die Einhaltung einer relativ konstanten Temperatur eine schonende Verarbeitung des Explosivstoffs.
Gemäß einer vorteilhaften Weiterbildung des Verfahrens kann die Weiterverarbeitung des Blocks auf herkömmliche Weise, wie beispielsweise mittels einer hydraulischen Presse erfolgen. Somit kann der erfindungsgemäß hergestellte Block in einen Strang überführt und geschnitten oder auf sonstige Weise zu einem fertigen Treibladungssubstrat bzw. -pulver verarbeitet werden.
Weitere Ausführungsformen der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen.
Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels beschrieben, daß anhand einer Abbildung näher erläutert wird. Hierbei zeigt:
Fig. 1: ein beispielhaftes schematisches Ablaufdiagramm des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens.
Somit wird gemäß Fig. 1 zunächst ein Explosivrohstoff bereitgestellt, der gegebenenfalls durch Zumischung von Hilfs- und Zusatzstoffen zubereitet wird. Dieser Explosivrohstoff wird sodann unter Einsatz einer Scherwalze und einer Granuliervorrichtung zunächst entwässert und gelatiniert sowie granuliert. Dies geschieht vorzugsweise bei einer Temperatur im
Bereich von 90° C bis 95° C. Unmittelbar im Anschluß an das Granulieren wird das warme plastische Granulat einer isostatischen Trockenpreßvorrichtuπg zugeführt, die auf 90° C temperiert ist und unter Anwendung von einem Druck von 25 x 106 Pa sowie einem Wasserstrahlpumpenvakuum zu einem Block verpreßt. Die Weiterverarbeitung des Blocks erfolgt auf herkömmliche Weise mittels einer hydraulischen Presse, wobei der Block zu einem
Explosivstoffstrang gestreckt und anschließend geschnitten wird.
Zusammenfassend läßt sich somit feststellen, daß mittels des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens wesentliche Vorteile gegenüber dem Stand der Technik erzielt werden können. An erster Stelle sei hierbei die durch das schonende Verdichten gegenüber herkömmlichen Verfahren deutlich reduzierte Gefahr einer Explosion oder eines unkontrollierten Abbrandes im Zuge des Verdichtens genannt. Des weiteren resultiert aus der Anwendung des erfϊn- dungsgemäßen Verfahrens, nämlich einer isostatischen Preßvorrichtung und plastischen Granulats, ein qualitativ gleichförmiges Produkt mit gleichmäßiger Dichte, das in reproduzierbarer Weise mittels einer sauberen und gleichmäßigen sowie schonenden Ver¬ arbeitung herstellbar ist. Einen weiteren Vorteil stellt die Möglichkeit der Verarbeitung von kleinen Mengen dar, da auf diese Weise eine aufgrund des Rohstoffcharakters inhärente Explosionsgefahr, respektive damit einhergehende Schäden vermieden bzw. minimiert werden können.
An dieser Stelle sei darauf hingewiesen, daß alle oben beschriebene Teile für sich alleine gesehen und in jeder Kombination als erfϊndungswesentlich beansprucht werden. Abänderungen hiervon sind dem Fachmann geläufig.

Claims

Patentansprüche
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Explosivstoffen, insbesondere von lösungsmittelfreiem Treibladungspulver (POL-Pulver), aus einem phlegmatisierten, insbesondere wasserfeuchten, Explosivrohstoff, durch Entwässern, Gelatinieren, Verarbeiten des Explosivrohstoffs zu einem Granulat und isostatisches Pressen des Granulats zu einem Block, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Granulat unmittelbar nach einem Granulieren mittels einer isostatischen
Presse zu dem Block geformt wird, wobei das Granulat der isostatischen Presse in warmem, insbesondere plastischem, Zustand zugeführt wird.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die isostatische Presse beheizt wird.
3. Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das isostatische Pressen bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 30°C bis 130°C, bevorzugt bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 50°C bis 110°C und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 70°C bis 95°C durchgeführt wird.

Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Preßdruck in der isostatischen Presse im Bereich von 10 x 106 Pa bis 50 x 106 Pa, bevorzugt im Bereich von 25 x 106 Pa bis 35 x 106 Pa und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 28 x 106 Pa bis 32 x 106 Pa angewandt wird.
5. Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das isostatische Pressen unter, gegenüber Atmosphärendruck, reduziertem
Druck durchgeführt wird.
6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der reduzierte Druck im Bereich von 1 x 105 Pa bis 30 x 10"3 Pa, bevorzugt im Bereich von 1 x 103 Pa bis 10 x 10"1 Pa und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 1 x 102 Pa bis 15 Pa liegt.
7. Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Entwässern, Gelatinieren und Granulieren des Explosivrohstoffs mittels einer Scherwalze und einer Granuliervorrichtung bei einer Temperatur im
Bereich von 30°C bis 130°C, bevorzugt bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 50°C bis 110°C und besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 70°C bis 95°C durchgeführt wird.
8. Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Weiterverarbeitung des Blocks auf herkömmliche Weise, beispielsweise mittels einer hydraulischen Presse, durchgeführt wird.
